I was always told that weed wasn't addictive, which was great comfort as I furiously brushed down my grinder seeking the last bits of crystal dust to smoke. "Man, could you imagine how bad this would be if it actually was addictive?"
There's been times where I've ran out and went scavenging around my garden looking for joint ends to smoke. That's how I knew I had to stop. 2 years thc free and I don't think I'll be going back!
I never thought subliminals could make such a huge difference in overcoming addiction, but Borlest proved me wrong. After a couple of weeks, I felt a massive shift in my mindset. If you’re stuck in a cycle, this could be the solution. You’ve got nothing to lose.
I would barely dream while I was smoking. I’d just go to sleep and wake up. Once I quit though, it’s like my brain caught me up on 4+ years worth of ideas it had.
Thats because when you sleep while smoking you get little to non-REM sleep and when you quit the brain tries to catch up on REM sleep, this is seen in severe alcohol addicts: delirium tremens, where your brain even tries to get REM sleep while awake
I had a dream about my school bus towing another one, I hopped onboard the towed one, and then we got out at the local mall, and there was a gun fight. Sam L Jackson gave me a gun and said to follow him, I got into the van and got out at a thrift store, where I walked around and then I woke up lmao
as someone who is quite the pot head... I’m about to hit 28 days sober this friday 🥳 UPDATE 9/28/21: 5 months sober now 😇 I must say my quality of life is overall better. I don’t feel as groggy, moody, anxious, or have respiratory issues as I once did when I would smoke every day. I definitely do get cravings still, especially when I smell it nearby, but I’ve come so far that I would hate to break my sobriety so soon.
I started smoking Marijuana years ago as a teenage, switched to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.
Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏
YES sure of mycologist Predroshrooms. Mushrooms literally got me off my feet and turned my whole life around. I am currently a housing manager for a recovery program. I wouldn't have been able to do that shit without psilocybin.
Thanks for sharing your story. That's rough I sympathize. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health. I will pray for you all.
For the first time in 5 years, I have been weed-free for 20 days straight. It got to a point where I wasn't getting high no matter how much I smoked and my dependence on it led me to forget about all the other important things in my life. The first week was hard, especially the headaches and lack of dopamine. I did really enjoy the dreams though, some of them felt real. I don't think I'll stop forever, but I want to only use it in social settings. It was making me hate myself because it became the escape I desperately craved. More power to you if it helps you but for a lot of people, this is another addiction that can lead you to not prioritizing yourself, your physical and mental health.
Nah, plants have to be feminized, clones or seeds are expensive if female, etc. it’s expensive to even grow one plant if you don’t already have a setup ready for flowering plants like a tent with ventilation and the carbon filtration.
After quitting twice, I found two rules to be absolute saviours Change of environment, quitting while camping or on vacation or while staying at a friends house, reduced all discomfort by an enormous amount. Filling your day with activity, never allowing yourself a moment of laziness, reduced all tendencies by an enormous amount.
I just stopped a few days ago and immediately got hit with the worst stomach flu I’ve ever had. Horrible timing 😂 feeling like shit makes me not really wanna smoke though so there’s that
What's the point of not being lazy if you're just going to work out? Or play tennis? That isn't going to change the world. It's when we all sit down around a table and make a plan to make changes to the world with enough backup so that we don't get assassinated one by one. If you aren't expanding your knowledge of the world or sharing your wisdom then life is pretty much pointless. It's wisdom and knowledge that has got us here today. But with the lack of knowledge is why rich white people are now somehow making money selling weed legally to black folks. Isn't that funny? First they throw black folks in jail for it, and now they sell it lol... Come on now. Weed or no weed. WTF ARE WE EVEN DOING!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I’m 50 years old. I’ve smoked cannabis almost daily, for about 30 years. - a couple weeks here and there. Tomorrow is day number 3 with no cannabis. Looking forward to it being over. lol. This is so hard. Shooting for 30 days. And we’ll see how I feel after that. My body has been telling me to stop. I stopped getting a buzz, so if your not getting stoned when you smoke and your smoking superb cannabis, well…time to take a break. I also starting getting paranoid and anxious when I puffed which had never been the case before that. And has been making my life harder than ever. My subconscious has been telling me to stop for a couple years now. But I wouldn’t listen. But now I want to quit. And it is so frickin hard. I had such a hard day without it today. Yelled at everyone, just was a total A-hole. Sad but true. I also couldn’t get out of bed Was super nauseous, bad headache. I smelled my neighbors smoking some dank downstairs and just about lost it. I refuse to give in to the cannabis this time. I really pray tomorrow is easier. 🙏🏼
I'm 16 years old, been smoking daily for about 3-4 months. I know that's nothing compared to most of the people in this comment section, but I still struggle with it too. Figured I should try to stop now before it gets bad or at least simmer it down to every once in awhile. I'm 3 hours away from day 4 and the biggest symptoms are: tremendous loss of appetite, trouble sleeping (take melatonin and it should do the trick), I've been having phlegm, my temper has been high, lashing out on my parents and friends etc., and just feeling sick overall. I think about weed a lot, and it doesn't help that my girlfriend all of a sudden wants to try smoking weed with her next week. I've also been hiding that from her which I just feel guilty for, but I can't tell her. Not yet. I love her too much and it would break her heart. I've been using nicotine pouches to see if that would elevate the withdrawal symptoms. I haven't had any good effects from stopping yet, just seem to be angry all the time and the sleep thing is getting worse even with the melatonin. Just waiting for day 7 so I can decide if I want to continue or just quit forever.
hardest part about quitting is when you’re a few weeks in and you know your tolerance is down enough so that joint or dab will hit harder than it has in a while and you just gotta stay strong 😂
One day, after smoking weed almost everyday for a couple of months, I decided to stop using weed for 1 year. It worked, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. To celebrate 1 year without smoking, I smoked weed. I've been smoking ever since.
I'm on my last joint, it's midnight and I'm going to sleep next. I'll make a small summary: I'm 22 years old, I've been smoking for 2/3 years, basically every day. I started smoking when I was heartbroken, I feel like my life has become numb, cloudy, I think I'm addicted, when I smoke I like the effects but deep down i know it's pulling me down, I wanted to avoid my emotions and reserved myself, I became antisocial. I want to quit because i want to change my life! I have goals that I want to achieve! I need a wake up call. I would appreciate it if you like :) (edit: I really appreciate your comments, l read them all to keep me in line, remember you are not alone)
@@JMoney33-gn4xb Thanks bro. Sometimes i do some home gym right after i wake up, but sometimes i don't have the energy for that. i'm slowly reducing the dose of weed and try to do my things before smoking
i love weed totally a stoner but at the same time it’s ruined my life. it’s just like every other addiction, i spend all my money on it and do nothing but smoke. i literally just can’t be sober it’s the worst kind of feeling. i think weed can be a great thing for people that have good self control, but i think all this legalization and stuff happening and nobody is talking about using weed safely is gonna have a bunch of people in the same spot i am. no motivation or energy to leave the house for weeks, moody and disconnected. to the point where i’m disassociating not only from people and my surroundings but from my own self and memories and image. i strongly suggest anybody that’s smoking weed to just be careful because no matter what the benefits may be or the legal status, it’s still a drug and it can ruin ur life.
ive been smoking weed on and off for 6 years, since 13... quit at 19. I'm now 20, over a year without weed and I feel horrible for what I did to my self. I can say there definitely are effects.. really lost a lot of my brain power for sure. still after quitting i feel like being at home and rather doing nothing. hard to find motivation. hopefully on a better path but i am never smoking again. Yes in small doses its okay. buit long term use especially at a young age has serious effects..
@@sopharchan2022I can eat now without smoking. I used to depend on it so much that if I stopped I would basically starve myself to the point that I’d become hypoglycemic. I can sleep now uninterrupted. I have dreams now. Before I would wake up every hour and smoke to try to fall back asleep only to wake up again. My anxiety has essentially vanished now that I don’t smoke. I convinced myself that weed was the only thing that helped my anxiety when in reality smoking was perpetuating it. The first week or so was the hardest part of stopping but after that I started to level out and I have no desire to go back. I thought I was going to smoke until the day I died. But I suppose that’s just my own experience. I can’t say that this is the same for everyone and that no one should smoke. I just didn’t benefit from it.
@@sopharchan2022because my brain is no longer dependent on a drug in order to produce the necessary chemicals to live well. Sorry if it seems scary, but coming from experience, if you’re a chronic smoker that’s smoking daily (or like I was, losing count of how many times a day I would toke) you brain/body is dependent on weed in order to properly function and feel normal. The easiest way to know if you have any level of dependence is if you develop a tolerance and have to smoke more and more to get your desired high. Dependence happens because the brain stops producing its own endocannabinoid neurotransmitters because it receives them from weed. Your endocannabinoid neurotransmitters send signals through your body via nerve cells and help with various bodily functions.
I’m 80+ and smoked weed since I was a teenager. For the past 20 years I’ve grown my own. I smoked on a daily basis, occasionally stopping for a few days or a week and never noticing any withdrawal symptoms. It’s been a full year now since I last smoked. It seems that I just no longer have any desire to. I never noticed any withdrawal symptoms nor was quitting a struggle. The one thing I do notice is that I remember my dreams now much more vividly. I still have a gallon jar of buds from my last grow and may one day fire up again. It seems as individuals we all have different metabolisms and psyches thus different reactions and ways of coping.
It’s a shame some countries and legalising weed and fda previously banned the only antidote to go against toxicity . I advise people to take in moderate amount otherwise it would destroy your life
Yeah the moderation is hard to do for yourself because the euphoria most drugs give. So that’s why most times it’s best to not start, while you’re ahead. Because on the other side it will be harder to go back then it was starting.
I can confirm that quitting weed was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, I know it sounds funny but the withdrawals were awful and even made me depressed for a while. I couldn’t eat without the feeling of throwing up after two bites of food. I grew accustomed to smoking weed 3 to 4 time a day 7 days a week and it became apart of my life for years. I couldn’t get high off of weed anymore and heavily using wax concentrates. I tried quitting many times but failed constantly until my wife gave birth to my first son and i made her a promise to stop because I didn’t want my son to see me like this in the future. Now in 3 months sober and I can say it was tough but worth it and I don’t see myself going back. I can finally eat normal again and find happiness in simple things like I did when I was a kid. It’s okay for people to use weed but it isn’t when you abuse it. UPDATE: After some time I figured out that what I had was CHS and that is most likely what many of you were feeling in terms of withdrawals from weed. If anyone is interested in knowing what it is, this channel has a new video that explains everything. I understand everyone’s body is totally different. It’s just something I feel that everyone who enjoy smoking weed should at least know some consequences for those heavy users. Moderation is always key, and I pray that all of you never have to experience any of that. Most of you won’t which is amazing but for those that do just know that those stomach pains and nausea will go away with time. Usually around 2 weeks you’ll feel like a new person. Oh and p.s. hot showers give almost instant relief. It isn’t a permanent disease so don’t feel scared and stay safe y’all!
Thank you for confirming my suspicions about withdrawal affecting appetite, I was genuinely worried when I felt like shit after eating. Im glad to know im not alone and congrats on being sober man, more power to ya ❤
Shit reading this comment like if I was reading my thoughts 😪 my wife is pregnant with our first and she gets really upset when I come home high. I realized that’s not who I wanna be or represent no matter how old is my kid. And I hate making the wife sad too
It can be tough, but if you quit, do it gradually. If you your weed is almost gone, and you don't know if you will be able to get some soon, use the last of it sparingly, gradually decreasing the amount you use and increase the time between use. Weaning and consistency is the key to quitting an addiction. Also, remember, moderation. You don't have to be high all day to enjoy it.
I've smoked daily for around 20 years and I spent around £500-£600 a month at my worst (last 5 years) I'm Currently on day 6 of no weed. This video has really helped to make me see I'm not going crazy and it's just the process. Thank you for making me see the end line.
This is how you educate somebody, you don’t belittle them by telling them that they are wrong for smoking. Thank you so much for this video. You are an incredible soul and please keep being you.
I smoked for about 7 years and quit cold turkey for 3 months just cause I wanted to see how I'd feel. I honestly felt amazing the only side effects I really noticed was insomnia and just kinda craving it a little In general. After about 2 weeks I felt super clear headed noticed my memory got better. I started smoking again after 3 months and it felt like the first time I smoked weed it was also a great experience. Try to at least take tolerance breaks its good for you and makes the high feel so much better.
so interesting. really seems like the psychological purpose behind smoking weed makes a huge difference on the dependence levels and some how as a result, the withdrawal symptoms....which makes sense BUT I've never heard this described as such with anything ever
Dude, I'm at the end of day 1 and I can confirm that I've had no sleep, paranoid and feel depressed. Pray for me gang, need to quit to be for the ones I love long term
I’m so glad to see someone who *actually* smokes make a video on the impact it has on the body and brain. It’s a totally different undertone than videos made by doctors who don’t smoke and just seek to shame people. I greatly enjoyed this! Keep up the great work. :)
I came for the curiosity on the subject but am subscribing forever for the succinct material, great graphics, and your outstanding personality and relatability, thank you for the informative content!
I hate when people say “you can’t get addicted to pot.” Like you can literally get addicted to ANYTHING. sniffing bleach, petting cats, hugging trees. It’s just not an addictive drug like meth or cocaine but you CAN get addicted. Note that I don’t have anything against weed. I smoke thc a couple times a week to help me sleep.
@@lynnmckenney1987 yeah but I’m high school people would always be like “no you CANT get addicted.” They didn’t understand that when people say you can’t get addicted to weed that they’re referring to the chemical component of it and took it so literal 😂
It’s not physically addicting however it is psychologically addicting. Most people are not smart enough to understand the difference and those who spout it’s not addictive don’t say the difference. One, your body itself reacts to lack of it and the other your mind reminds you of how that felt so you’d feel compelled to do it again. Anything can indeed be addictive but this is not something that causes physical addictions. It’s very simple and easy to understand.
As someone who smoked every day for 10 years, I quit when I moved to japan and never really thought anything of it. The fear of stopping was way worse than actually stopping for me.
the key is having something else to do. When is started a new career quitting was easy for me too, but recently i quit again while sitting at home and it was very hard.
@@kronichaze Agreed. I’m a pothead but find it easy to quit cold turkey for a few months at a time, mostly when I have a lot of things going on or goals I’m trying to reach. Unfortunately I work in live music so the past year or so have been pretty uneventful and I’ve noticed I’m smoking more than usual.
Being nearly 60 days sober, seeing this video has made me proud. I’m prob going to pick up a 3.5 when Ramadan is over but at least I got a tolerance break
Thank you for the vid, and the podcast sounds perfect to go into more detail. I've been wanting to give myself a break from weed for quite a while and this video was the explanation I needed to hear.
My favorite part of quitting is the dreams. I have the most surreal lucid dreams where I can’t tell real from fake. This video finna makes me want to quit again.
No cappp, I been smoking everyday for the last few years and I’m currently on day 12 of no smoking and man, I’ve been having the most vivid real feeling dreams. When I would dream while I was still smoking they would feel blurred a bit if that makes sense.
The amount of dreams ive logged with my sober girlfriend after quitting that i remember especially with my job is insane and theyre hilarious to wake up from
Yeah, I noticed I'm able to remember my dreams and notice that I am dreaming. I've been trying to lucid dream, and it almost happens. Getting better every night.
@@icedawggg Well the addiction is bad in itself, I mean what happens if you can't go to the gym? If you're fine then it's all cool, but if you truly are addicted then you'll suffer from not being able to access this "need" and I'd say that's a bad outcome no matter what you're addicted to. I think it's best to keep some sort of balance, even with the healthier things, to make sure they don't turn into toxic habits! ☺️ Actually I'd say gym/sports can be even worse than other activities because it can go from wanting to start eating healthier to an eating disorder and unobtainable physical goals real quick :/

@@whiteydiamond I love weed, man. But habitual use DOES have negative side effects. Instead of laughing at someone for pulling their life together and controlling their desires, maybe you should keep the rude comments to yourself. Or better yet, try taking a lengthy T-break, yourself.
Something i've found to really help me as a chronic cananbis medical user is that your exercise and diet play a HUGE roll in how much cannabis effects you when you're sober. I used to not dream and would feel very groggy during the day with bad memory. After I started taking multi vitamins, omega3 pills/ eating fish, getting strength and cardio back into the mix, I started to dream again, remember more, feel more of the effects of cannabis, and have more energy when sober all while still taking in the same dosage or LESS. My theory is that a healthier body allows your cannabanoid receptors to recover faster as they have the resources to do so. If you have an unhealthy body your receptors will recover much slower and might not even recover at by the time you have your next dosage further complicating the issue. I highly advise anyone having issues with cannabis should start with their diet and activity level then work from there as it's an easier base to start at.
Smoked weed everyday for 14 years and then quit for a year. Now I can finally smoke it every now and then like I'd rather and not want to go back to the way I used to be. It had a hold on me and made me really lazy and complacent.
So the psychological effects would be acute depression and anxiety along with impaired short term memory? Good thing I already have depression, anxiety, and a shit memory. No side effects here, just normal life
I know everyone is different. In my case, I heavy smoked everyday like many times per day for 3 years or more, I quit it suddenly 2 times and I didn't have this effects. Maybe because of my diet and exercise, maybe it's no just a weed problem.

G’day guys, I’ve finally decided to cut the weed out after smoking almost every day since I was 17 years old, I am 26 now. I’m on day 7 and it’s been a roller coaster so far but I am already seeing huge improvements. I’ve always had potential to do great things but the minute things got hard I would smoke some weed and all of a sudden doing nothing wasn’t so bad. Enough is enough and it’s time to take ownership of my life and achieve things I’ve always wanted to do. These types of videos are really helping and giving me the extra motivation I need. I know things are only going to get harder but I have never been so determined to cut out this bad habit that has held me back for so many years, I’ve ruined relationships and friendships and missed out on great opportunities from my addiction and I’m now in a pretty good spot in my life and have an amazing support group around me that I do not want to loose. Thought I’d post this comment so I can come back on it every few months and remind myself on why I’m doing this. The journey is only just beginning but I’m excited for the challenge and what I will be able to achieve once I’ve finally kicked the addiction. We can do this guys, nothing great is ever going to be easy. Nick.
I use weed as a dependency whenever I fall down. I go months without weed, everything is good but then as soon as something fails, I start smoking weed.
As a daily user for over 10 years i can say without a doubt that this was the best informative video on cannabis. Though I do not consider these factors to subside for everybody, I can personally say that I totally forgot what I was talking about...who are you again?
I’m on day 10 of quitting, and I can say from a daily smoker for about 6-7 years I’ve never been so open minded and clear in my mental health and physical health. I do miss the feeling of being stoned, but I rather prefer the clarity now 😄
I quit weed back in 2016 after smoking for 11 years regularly. The first week was rough but after that it got better and i felt more alert. I felt like i got my senses back
I took an extended break for about 6 months, and I will say I agree with you on the clarity. I had an easier time remembering things and getting things done.. BUT I'm back on the weed now lol but only use it at night for winding down after work or just general relaxation. Not getting high throughout the day and only smoking at night has helped tons.
I was having full seizures out of nowhere for the past 12 yr quit just over a month ago n only have had small one's staying fully conscious during witch was not happening when I smoked so I'm going to see how long I can stay off with no grandma seizures, in July I woke up in hospital, with a tube down my throat. so I have a good reason
Man, your "what happens when you stop drinking alcohol" video helped me stop drinking, and now this one has helped me quit weed. Thank you for making these, they have been a huge help for me.
The only side effects that I get from coming off of a weed binge is decreased appetite and trouble getting to sleep. But quitting is easy as long as there's no weed in my possession. I went from a weed binge to a bodybuilding routine, ironically.
theres a difference between a "weed binge" and smoking every day for years and suddenly stopping. some people also have mental issues that are worsened by withdrawals.
Smoked every day (usually after 3pm) for 6 years. I'm 10 days clean and feel like a new person. Still having whacky dreams.. the first week was tough as my mood swings were everywhere but so worth it. No going back for me.
Very interesting episode. I am 57 years old, and up until about 4 years ago I had never used any cannabis in any form. As a boy growing up in the 70s, it was very common, however I found that I really did not like the smell of it. I then went to military college, was in the army, then went on to a career in federal law enforcement, so trying cannabis was not worth the risk of losing a very good paying job However, i was diagnosed with a very rare slow growing tumor in my neck, which grows about a millimeter or 2 a year and is growing inwards, pressing on my brain stem and spinal cord. Needless to say the pain can be extremely intense, and my doctors prescribed very large doses of opioids. Basically this turned me into a zombie, and I decided to stop taking them, along with the anxiety meds. I began learning different, non addicting, and non life altering ways to at least be able to function through the pain. Cannabis edibles became a way to help, especially when it came to getting sleep. (No matter which way I lay my head, I am putting pressure on the tumor and after about an hour, I would be awakened by excruciating head pain) Enter cannabis, I use it at night to help me sleep, and I remember how grateful I was the first night I tried it. I slept for 7 hours straight, something I hadn't done in years. Using it at night and other pain control techniques during the day, I have regained a measure of living again. I have also learned that I need to take a few days off to reset my system from building up tolerance, or using the cannabis tincture/infusion every other day. Compared to opioids and other pharmaceuticals, when I use cannabis I find that I wake up every morning feeling refreshed and with energy to face the day. I never have that hangover feeling that the prescription meds gave me. I still have pain, but it is now manageable. The tumor will grow, the pain will get worse, and one day it will kill me, but in the interim, using cannabis medically has been a gods send. And the nice warm, tingling buzz is what I call my bonus, lol.
I feel sorry for you, I hope you get better and be satisfied with your life, whether you have tumor or not, everyone will die, I hope Allah gives rewards you for your pain.
@@neverendingweedh1784 apparently it was growing for some time. Because of it's placement it was hard to detect on scans. I kept getting really bad head pain, but the scans of my head were just a bit too high, and so the tumor wasn't discovered for about 2 years after I first started getting the headaches. It wasnt until the head pain worsened and i began loosing feeling and use of my left side that a new scan finally found it. I am truly fortunate it is not cancerous, and that in only grows by about 1 or so millimeters a year. But eventually it will get so big and rupture or something. I have become a very strong advocate of cannabis for medical treatment, especially for older people. I try and help them work through their pre-existing prejudices against it. When it's used properly it's very helpful for so many illnesses. And the little buzz is an added bonus. Lol. And it's way better than opioids.
How did I make it through 28 years of life without thinking to eat gummies to remove the popcorn from my teeth? (Yes, this is the message I got from this video).
You forgot to talk about the amazing effects of sobriety. Being clear headed, having comebacks that actually make the room erupt in laughter, and recognizing the smile on your mother's face.

My whole channel is dedicated to quitting weed, its very much a real problem for certain people like myself and many others. Its mentally very addictive!
Its because its still federally illegal so no one can really study its effects officially. Weed is just now starting to slowly be legalized around the country and official experiments and studies are just now being conducted, in the future we will see more data like this come out.
Weed isn’t for everybody and affected differently for everybody. Me personally I get things done while high and a lot of more things. But not having it is good too. Whatever U can handle is best honestly.
Bro i be saying the same shit. I know it’s effects people different but i just don’t understand. I’ve always been a productive person with or without weed. Tbh it depends on the person
I started smoking when I was 17 I’m 32 now . I quit weed 3 years ago for a year then relapsed again . This is my 2nd time trying to quit, I gotta say what helped me the most was just getting out of the environment where I could smoke when I wanted to . Watching these videos and reading comments on other people in the same journey helps a lot . I am now 7 days sober and planning on quitting for good ! Wish me luck 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
i wish you luck bro! It's been a week for me. Sleep is terrible. 2hr increments but somehow I feel less tired during the day then when I would smoke right before bed. Strange! Stay strong
People don't like to admit it, mainly because they're still smoking weed. If you smoke daily for years, multiple times a day, when you quit, you definitely do get withdrawals. Sure they aren't extreme but they can be pretty depressing to a point where nothing is interesting. That goes with most drugs. The only difference is thc withdrawal isn't hard physically, but can be difficult mentally Only been months clean and still randomly have vivid dreams smoking
as a chronic smoker for 4 years i went sober cold turkey and it was a very interesting situation, i had hella anxiety to a point where i had panic attacks focusing on my heart beat. i had trippy lucid dreams, one where i was in a water slide and inside it was a obstacle course lmao, im still sober; about 4 months and its honestly great, i do miss the experience but there are better things in life. if your as dependent as i was it is very much possible, u got this
Been sober for almost a month now. After being a chronic smoker for 4 years now. And May I just say this video couldn’t be more helpful. It really made me understand what I was going through the first few weeks. But now almost a month in I feel great. I’m able to do so much. Weed has a special place in my heart but like you said there are better things to do in life and that the route I want to be on.
i have stopped smoking weed for a week now and i thought i was being depersonalized but later after watching this video im thinking its just a withdrawl symptom but most of the symptoms im facing are same as the withdrawl symptoms and depersonalization too so im now confused weather its just because of the withdrawl or im really depersonalized !! pls if you could help me out here
@@jenishadhikari7247yo I’ve been going through intense symptoms of depersonalisation too after quitting weed and nicotine cold turkey. 1 month off weed, 1 week off nicotine, you’ll be back to normal before you know it
tbh, just stay busy, when your doing nothing is when you’ll wish you are high. Get into a hobby, a sport, fitness, or something that can increase your knowledge and happiness while getting your break edit: forever one i helped, i’m glad i could, whatever you put your mind to you can do
Facts. Been smoking every day for years but started only taking 1 or 2 hits a day fter getting into mountain biking and rock climbing. Adrenaline hits waaay harder than THC
This is wild. I was smoking weed for 5 years and have stopped as of 10 days ago. I'm journaling the experience for the first 100 days, and day 4 is when I had a dream in normal color and that I recall. Spot on. For those looking to quit, you've got this! Keep it up.
Hope more people follow. Lost many fam members to the drug; they stole, left their drugs in sensitive places for cops to find it, left the toilet unflushed When I smell the smell of that green fecal matter from electronic marijuana I smell poverty, and dim hope.
How you doing now? I smoked about an eighth of flower a week and went through a thc vape cartridge every 3 days (for about 4-5 years). I stopped 6.5 months ago. Withdrawals were almost gone after the first 3 months for me.
Day 3. So much sweating, upset stomach and lack of sleep. I smoked every day for 2 years, I got help to fix my actual issues and stoped lying to myself that weed was fixing anything. Do not start. Do get help if you can’t quit by yourself. There is no shame, we were lied too.
i stopped smoking on august 19th and stopped the edibles on the 26th. the edibles are what made my withdraws the worst, especially when i ate a lot of edibles then switched to RSO edible in the syringe that stuff is potent, they only say to take a rice size of it a day (if u wanna micro) or more occasionally but i downed the syringe like candy in a few days then i got another syringe and downed it down basically the next day, then i got another one except this time i got the rest version of it. the past week ive been overheated a lot sweating a lot of mucas build up, and since those went away, ive been having the mental health withdraws now. i came home from work today made some pizza rolls and decided to sit outside and eat but then i smell the neighbors manure from their garden and although we are somewhat in the country it still smelled very strong regardless so i got through like 17 pizza rolls before i got up to go inside but before i went inside i looked towards the neighbors and got pissed off so i threw the whole plate and snapped. i went through withdraws before but they werent this bad. i quit cold turkey too
Day 30 I had a major breakdown due to a robbery that happened in my house few days after I quit, now I have mixed feelings but I know weed ain't the answer to what I'm facing, love for everyone
At my peak I was smoking 8-12 joints a day. Then I began to realise that I was not living my full potential, so I quit & I'm not focused on getting high all the time my life is popping off. It's very refreshing 🥰
I recently revealed the genders of my two girlfriends. It got a lot of hate and now has 30 times more dislikes than likes. I am really sad that people can be so mean. Sorry for using your comment to talk about my problems, dear mqrs
First of all - love this guy. I've been a big time before-the-movie (or sitting down to watch tv smoker) for years. I was a casual social toker in my 20s, but I've been a daily user for about 14 years now. The best thing about weed is that bad action movies are enjoyable, any meal you eat is the greatest meal you've ever eaten (even if it's just sardines on toast), and boring situations become endurable. I am currently 11 days sans weed -- trying to lose my pandemic weight and every time over the past decade that I've lost big chunks of weight, I always did it by eating healthy, exercising, and cutting back on alcohol -- but I still got high. Now that I'm in my 40s, my body just wants to hang on to the Buddha belly, so I decided to quit weed as part of my diet regimen this time around and see what happens. HOLY SMOKES (pun intended) - the difference is pretty bonkers. The energy thing is legit - It feels like I'm on speed and it's totally unnerving, I have a hard time keeping still - and forget trying to watch a movie. But the worst part, as documented, are the sleep problems. I just cannot sleep and melatonin only helps with drifting off, but staying asleep? NOPE. Being able to lay in bed and TRY to sleep? Can only do it for about 6 hours. It sucks. But the TOTAL OPPOSITE FOR ME it seems from reading the comments here is that I have always been an insane dreamer. Long amazing dreams with awesome plotlines. Loved sleeping because my dreams were magical. But in the 11 days I've been weed-free, I have NOT DREAMED ONCE. And the creative side of my brain is just non-existent. I'm a super prolific writer, new ideas every day, but there's just nothing there right now. Blank slate. Maybe that will change after 28 days, but My Dreams and creativity are NOT something I'm willing to lose. Anyone else have similar issues? I'm curious about this as honestly, I would kill for the insane dreams people are unhappy about.
I’m 2 weeks sober and it’s been tough. Been in a depressive mood with little to no appetite but getting outside and hitting the gym has been helping a lot
@@jasminjelovac9416 damn bro that’s tuff. I’m still having them and am over a month sober now. Sometimes they’re so odd and vivid that I feel super off the first 10 mins after waking up😂
the loss of apaitite is excellent your pancreas is reminerlizing its insulin reserves, soon your endurance will be way up. weeds a 3 day quit thing, much like cigeattes etc, people love to yap and lament there boring b.s lives and lack of shit to do but in reality doping up leaves the system by the second night, then your fat reserves will leak a bit of it for the next 3 months then walay u got a new clean blood stream as everyones blood is new after 3 or so months.
I’m into day 3 of quitting and it feels like the most pointless thing I’ve been doing , but reading everyone’s comments and watching this video at least once a day keeps me motivated to stay off it , and although it does feel pointless I can say everyday since has gotten slightly better, so to everyone reading this , just know you got this ✊🏽
Aye big ups, congratulations on two months. Keep working two months turns to 2 years real fast then 10 then 20. Hell tomorrow you'll look back on a different time when you did smoke and you'll wonder who that person was
@@BlueDreamXxX thanks, man. I appreciate you. The key thing for me is to not even begin to entertain the idea of admiring the blessed herb like admiring pictures, etc. With this key principle after the first two weeks everything went very smoothly. Plus when I'm down and weed comes to mind I quickly remember that it won't solve anything obviously, it's only going to make my life worse because I always end up abusing it.
@@jotabarberaIV I 100% agree. As soon as I take one toke it's like I'm a different person for months. 1 toke is never just one toke for me unfortunately. I understand its different for everyone though, you've got to understand your own ability to become an addict. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any margin for error. It's a very steep slope for me
Dude I love your whole take on educating us on the effects of smoking and how your body will react while quitting thank you. I’m on the fence of whether I wanna quit and take a better paying job and actually starting my life but on the other side of the fence is my daily smoking habit that doesn’t let me go. Today is Monday and I’m going to do my best to stay away from it all week and see how I feel on friday
After 10 years of being high everyday, I’m 5 days clean. I’m fortunate to have mild symptoms so far. It’s all about your mental toughness. If you want and need to change, you can and will do it. Stay strong.
@@aotrieu4234 thank you!!! 21 days in. Definitely noticing the lack of serotonin from all the years of smoking. And finding it hard to get a good nights sleep. But there’s absolutely no cravings so I’m happy with that.
I'm a week in.. If anyone's reading this, you got this, stay strong champ. First couple days are shitty but after that, it's all a mental game. Willpower is key. Just remember why you're quitting and stay busy. My grandma always used to say "Idle time is the devil's workshop".
I’m on day 2, just trying to take one day at a time. I’ve quit alcohol as well so I’m feeling incredibly lucid and like something is missing from my system. I’ll definitely take your grandma’s advice and try to keep busy.
At 1 week, it can still be hard, if you've been smoking day-to-day for multiple years. It may take multiple tries to even get there. You are absolutely correct to remind yourself why you're quitting. Remind yourself also that smoking is the easy thing to do. Not smoking represents continued strength and discipline. Keep at it and good luck.
I've always wondered if being told by so many people that weed isn't addictive led to people getting addicted in like a twisted up placebo. People would just use it because "hey I can't get addicted to it" and before they know it they're just smokin up all the time. Either way, I'm gonna continue to smoke up all the time lmao.
Actually this happened to me. Started smoking weed as substitute of alcohol to relax myself in the evening, smoked for 4months, now I fell anxiety and paranoia. Decided to quit smoking weed for this reason aaand the side effects described in this video are very present. I don’t think I would have started smoking weed knowing what I’m going through honestly.
For sureeeee. I don’t know why everyone always glorified it saying that there were no addictive properties or withdrawals. I’ve always had withdrawal symptoms.
@@Ekifox that’s odd, I’m a heavy user and have taken 90 day tolerance breaks with no issue. I tend to take a 7 day break every month, weed just effects everyone differently and shouldn’t be treated as a one size fits all substance.
Um it’s like finding a new band you like ❤️ like “this group is ammmmazing” so don’t get it twisted. How often do you listen to your favorite band 👀👀👀👀
I’ve been sober from weed for almost 2 years. No other drug has had the grasp on me like weed did. It may not be as addictive for some, but quitting weed was truly one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Exactly, not every substance has the same level of addiction to everyone, neither the withdrawal symptoms: if you smoke weed for 1 year and abuse cocaine for a week, I'm sure it'll be harder to get out of the first one.
I’m an eddie guy myself and have taken a break from everything recently after a bad hangover. Haven’t been able to sleep longer than 5 hours all week I’m at day 5. I think this has definitely taught me to have more moderation. Great video!
I used to stone everyday, then it started to make the high boring. I went on a clean streak of 8 months and now getting high is just great. Moral of this comment is to keep a margin between the number of days to get stoned, it’s going to be worth it trust me.
I feel you, it´s the same with me. I´m about one week no smooking weed because I´ve realized that I was smooking for no reason... But wait... are you saying that moderation is the key to continue smooking without psycological issues?

I stopped consuming weed 16 months ago. It was one of the best things I've done for my mental and physiological health. I sleep better, eat better, think more rationally and clearly, better off financially, exercise more, and in general I am a better person, I was entirely dependent on it. I don't have this underlying motive to always be high. I urge anyone who has a dependency to understand how much of a better person you can be without it. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, either. I don't mind if people around me consume although I can see what in them the person I become when I'm high and that reminds me that I really am a better person without it, in many ways.
I'm 71, I just quit recently for about two weeks, and I had no problem at all. I then resumed use and enjoyed the time off, in that it increased the stone when I started up again. It's like fasting. It's a good reset. I've quit often in my lifetime, never had a problem, but of course I thought of it fondly. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
im 6 days in lol, watched this video twice already to remind myself the paranoia is from lack of weed not bc anything bad is actually happening, thanks so much for providing good information its really comforting for people and for me lol edit: 2 months later and couldn’t be happier! my ability to think and process is significantly improved and depersonalization is gone, and from the success of ending this addiction i’ve decided to try quitting smoking cigs, 3 days in and im doing well so far 🤙 y’all got this stay strong
nice i quit bc i had very bad anxiety around big moments in stuff like that. i’m 6 days free and ain’t going back and have noticed tm anxiety already starting to drop but it’s still kinda there sometimes like my high school graduation that was bad. did the depersonalization and anxiety jus start to fade after a few weeks ?
Thanks for posting this! I wasn't informed about this before taking weed... I as going through a rough patch, and thinking it was a miracle drug, I ended up heavily addicted and decided to quit cold turkey several months later. That was a crazy 2 weeks, but I've been sober since
The only side effect I experienced when I stopped smoking weed was decreased appetite. Because I didn't have the munchies every few hours. If not for weed, I'd go days without eating simply because I don't feel hungry and will forget
Go on google and look up lifecykel order the turkey tail tincture bro that shit fixed my appetite even when I’m not smoking. I have the worst appetite like I cannot eat, I’m hungry but food makes me feel nauseous. Two droppers of that turkey tail stuff in the morning and I can actually eat properly, thank me later 👍🏼
Knowing that he smokes and uses cannabis fairly regularly yet he’s able to talk about it all like this is incredible and i appreciate it so much because it’s so Real
it kinda makes the video HYPOCRITICAL cause he does a great job ei...the weed is not affecting his ability to research and then deliver the material on camera in a funny an Informative way
@@lesdawg71 He's not being hypocritical at all. He never mentioned the he wanted to quit weed, he's simply informing us as to what would happen if you did quit.
I’d be more worried of the side effects then the actual physical damage. Most kids aren’t daily dependent smokers. The reality is that THC can be habit forming and simply watching a movie alone on your couch stoned can be fun. Some people are predisposed to extreme paranoia, which can lead to a ton of mental health problems. And generally, like alcohol, absolutely no one does anything more productive stoned vs sober.

@@Heavymetalstonie420Wrong, very wrong. Weed can lead to heart failure too after a long time. Weed may cause irregular heart rhythm, fast heart rate while at rest, and atrial fibrillation. Ive never smoked cigarettes in my life, i started smoking and vaping weed in 2019 when i was 23, i am 27 now and last year i had 3-4 episodes of atrial fibrillation, irregular fast heart rate and palpitations. Not too serious as my heart went back to regular beats on its own after a a few minutes, the longest was 3 hours and they all happened after taking a hit of my pen before bed. Never happened during the day but it happened. Has never happened again after i quit, my blood pressure went back to normal and my chest doesn’t hurt anymore. No more phlegm or random coughs. (Also my hair started to grow back, i was balding😅)
for me: dreams came back, appetite increased a lot, became much quicker to anger (for a period of maybe a couple weeks), was fresher in the morning, and most importantly im in touch with the reality of my life rather than numbed out

I don’t think that’s addiction, you just really like it and want more, like ice cream. I’m not addicted to either, but I still would like both

I would barely dream while I was smoking. I’d just go to sleep and wake up. Once I quit though, it’s like my brain caught me up on 4+ years worth of ideas it had.
OMFG, did you keep a dream journal?
That’s insanely dope
Same. I write them down because of how funny they are. Need to do it right away though otherwise I forget.
Thats because when you sleep while smoking you get little to non-REM sleep and when you quit the brain tries to catch up on REM sleep, this is seen in severe alcohol addicts: delirium tremens, where your brain even tries to get REM sleep while awake
That's so funny because my friend always said he never dreamed I would be thinking hes joking but he was serious and he was High 247 😆
Strange dreams. Huuuuuge for me. I generally don't dream when I'm smoking, the moment I don't for a day or two, I get some maaaassively weird dreams.
I get nightmares about school and shit, also it could just be that weed lessens my stress and when i stop smoking i get stressed again
It’s the return of REM sleep.

Where do I reach this dude? If possible can I find him on Google

@God Of Gods probably should've started growing your own with one of those payments bud and then its a hell of a lot smaller financial burden
Nah, plants have to be feminized, clones or seeds are expensive if female, etc. it’s expensive to even grow one plant if you don’t already have a setup ready for flowering plants like a tent with ventilation and the carbon filtration.
@God Of Gods now I understand your username. Less weed, more crypto.
After quitting twice, I found two rules to be absolute saviours

If you aren't expanding your knowledge of the world or sharing your wisdom then life is pretty much pointless. It's wisdom and knowledge that has got us here today. But with the lack of knowledge is why rich white people are now somehow making money selling weed legally to black folks. Isn't that funny? My subconscious has been telling me to stop for a couple years now. But I wouldn’t listen.
But now I want to quit. And it is so frickin hard. I had such a hard day without it today.

This was very inspiring to read I’m trying to quit as well. I’m on day 3. I hope you are feeling better now!

@@sopharchan2022because once your mind clears up you realize what a LOSER you are while getting high all day
@@sopharchan2022because my brain is no longer dependent on a drug in order to produce the necessary chemicals to live well.
Indeed!!! Your body feels MUCH better!

@@yahyaelmi8435 my dad always tells me everything in moderation

@zach lmfao, clearly you don’t have kids of your own, like fr who wants to see their kid let alone A KID see them smoke weed 🤣
Man, you need to get back on that.

I am 57 years old, and up until about 4 years ago I had never used any cannabis in any form. As a boy growing up in the 70s, it was very common, however I found that I really did not like the smell of it. I then went to military college, was in the army, then went on to a career in federal law enforcement, so trying cannabis was not worth the risk of losing a very good paying job
However, i was diagnosed with a very rare slow growing tumor in my neck, which grows about a millimeter or 2 a year and is growing inwards, pressing on my brain stem and spinal cord.
Thank you for sharing this sir.
@@rashwanmohamed4545 try Jesus
Thanks for sharing. I wonder how you got a tumor.

Never happened during the day but it happened. Has never happened again after i quit, my blood pressure went back to normal and my chest doesn’t hurt anymore. No more phlegm or random coughs.
(Also my hair started to grow back, i was balding😅)
i think id rather die at 50 and have lived a fun life than not do any drugs and live like a mormon for the rest of my life
@@paddypenguin8895 when i was younger, i thought the same thing. Than i got kids and recovered from cancer. Now i want to live as long as possible.
for me: dreams came back, appetite increased a lot, became much quicker to anger (for a period of maybe a couple weeks), was fresher in the morning, and most importantly im in touch with the reality of my life rather than numbed out
I feel like I’m more in touched w reality when I do smoke 🧐
The nightmarish dreams are the worst
Thats sorta what I'm afraid of.. not the realism of reality but the quick to anger and withdrawal symptoms
@@manicmondaypodcast8008 Fr T break dreams for me are either bad dreams or just absurd af
@@Mrsmifff Yesss the quick to anger thing can get you in trouble when you live in the projects.
I need to stop... I’ve smoked so much that I don’t even get high anymore, I’ll be high for about 4 minutes then after I’ll be perfectly fine.
My guy, same shit with me. It’s almost pointless
Literally I'm at the point now to get stoned for any length of time I need to consume just ridiculous amounts of cannabis. Its stupid expensive..if I just smoke im not going be high for longer than 20 mins, I need like a half bag of edibles to get started smh
feel you bro same shit here
Yall smoking boof then lol
literally this is me right now and I’m at the point where I’m tired of wasting my money because I have to smoke 2 g every single time just to get high i think i’m ready to quit
I really like how you ended that gaining more information and learning helps you make more of an informed and the best decision for yourself :)
