It's kinda scary how close this player is to being the exact same as 500hr playtime me. I still have mostly the same palystyle as this player, but aside from the major mistakes bitter outlined. This save was waaaaay better than expected and with a few tweaks they're well on their way to being an AI curb stomper
Can you recommend any tank designs and templates
@@IntrusYT if you have the tank design interface you can go with a med chasis +speed suspension, cheap/regular armor, med canon, 3 man turret, radio, stabalizer, easy maint, enough armor to not get 100% pierced by everything and 10kmh+ speed.
Speed, breakthrough, and attack
Against AI, soft attack is king as almost all their divisions are inf with no hardness and their tanks suck. High breakthrough lets you dodge incoming attacks (IE: less org+str damage). High speed lets you outmaneuver troops (a fat tank cant get encirclements and overruns)
There is no 1 size fits all tank/template - but you do want to have a template that is 30+ org, 10kmh+ speed, 30+ width, and high hardness to negate the AI's dmg.
@@Arexsisi want to add that this is a rather costly template. Depending on the Nation you play its absolutely okay to revert to a two man turret+ radio and regular armor type tank
This way you will pump out much more Tanks in a shorter span of time. You can simply refit them later with the better equipment or jump to the next chassis altogether

That plane that the guy made was the perfect plane literally so good.
I would like to offer my opinion on their tanks. What they really needed was more reliability. The medium howitzer was fine (actually my preferred) but the reliability was way to low at 50% and the 10km speed can be nice but it would have been. Ore effective to pump those points into armor making the tank much more effective in combat if they were able to deal with the reliability issues. Also I could have definitely just used more armor in general.
yeah 50% reliability is trash, 80% is normally a good minimum but definitely at least 70% if u want to do anything with them
Hearing Bitt3r get genuinely a bit of joy from spotting the italian navy brought a smile to my face. After having to watch this poor man slug away at nigh-impossible challenges with shit setups.. hearing but a bit of joy from his voice is a massive relief.
I think better put disaster save, I personally watched all your disaster saves,and everytime I remember your channel I check if there is a new save challenge in your playlist

I figured out how to annex ussr as democratic USA today without ever going to war. I had a 6 million man army in 1943 on limited conscription and thought to myself "bittersteel would approve of this ingenuity" lol. Thanks for the videos man.

@@IntrusYT the game has evolved a lot in recent years, so it's always good to get up to date, I've been playing it since its release. And I've been watching videos on this channel for a long time, so at that time I only had a few dozen hours (which is not much for a paradox game in general)

@ apx. 16:00 min only do this if you have naval supremecy or with submarines. If you dont have supremecy a split off battleship, carrier, or heavy cruiser is extremely vulnerable to submarines, and even packs of destroyers. Ive found the hard way you loose ships by doing this. However, the AI does always keep this on - which means your packs of destroyers and submarines can sink capital ships after a large battle.
The thing to do most of the time is to turn off the auto split off, and set repair priority to low. This way they won't go back anytime a destroyer gets damaged, but if the fleet gets really beat up it will still repair.
The trade off is that you will have to check the ships occasionally for individual badly damaged ships to have them repair. But its not that big of a deal.
Subs and destroyers are ok to put on split off. An individual sub is very unlikely to be detected, and destroyers can usually get away if they're seen at all. Theyre also easier to replace anyways.

be careful with automatic split off, it can mean your carrier takes minor damage and leaves the fleet and its escorts and be sunk by subs on its way to repair at port

I'm reminded of a story about TIto. After the fifth Failed assassination by the NKVD Tito send Stalin a letter informing him that he had killed all the assassins he sent and if he continued to send them Tito would send _one_ to Moscow. No more assassins were sent.

How many mills should you put on air? I often underestimate it and i dont have bba plane designer btw
depends on if you're a major/minor and if you're in single player or multi player. If you don't have BBA the AI will be able to build a competent air force, so if you're playing Germany for example the British will spam out fighters as much as possible, so you need a good deal on them. I suggest getting your rubber techs and the modifier from your focus tree and seeing from there how many you can actually build before resources become an issue. I usually put a good deal of my industry on fighters, especially once I get the 1940 fighter tech. So like 30-50 on fighters (50 is getting to the point of overkill tho), you could probably get by with 15 but it won't be alot, also 15 on cas is usually more the enough.
One of my old saves I'm looking at right now has 15 full mechanized tank divs, more then enough infantry to hold the line, 333k guns in stockpile, 13k tanks stockpile and I went 50 on fighters so you can definitely fill your needs while going heavy on air
