She used everything as a shield to hide behind - the courthouse, the clerk’s office, a person’s death (complete with moment of plane-filled silence), the county, and her grandkids. It was all about how “good” she is, like she’s some sort of prosecuted martyr. Ugh. Disgusting from start to finish. She loves that dang spotlight, no matter how cracked it is, and it shows.
She should have reflected even more and not speak at all!

I agree with you 100%. She's had grandchildren when she first ran for her office. She knows that they're investigating her and I do not doubt that they told her either you step down or resign or we will force you to do so . She's a joke and the judge had her number I still think it warranted Alex Murdoch getting a new trial and I know a lot of people won't agree with me but I do believe it and I do believe she influenced the jury I've never ever heard of a clerk going on tour with a jury for a morning talk show. She is unethical and everything she does. I do not trust her nor her son.

As a taxpaying citizen of South Carolina my faith in the integrity of S.L.E.D. is very low. Look what they dod to the farmer who was granted a license to grow hemp. Theyre not trustworthy at all.
And the case excellent journalist here on youtube did called Jodie Barr known as the "final disrespects" where a probate judge and her cronies were filmed clearing out home of their deceased friend of tens of thousands of dollars all in front of his confused wife with advanced dementia with no clue she's being robbed blind. SLED refused to prosecute that a well.
And it was the sled chief who was recently fined 17,000 dollars restitution to the hemp crop victim for failing to hand over all the exculpatory discovery in due time. The case continues in the destruction of the 1 million dollar hemp crop sled chief destroyed.

If I was a prosecutor at that court I would refuse to do any trial there if she was the clerk. she did this to herself and ruined her own reputation. I believe Murdaugh is guilty but I also believe she tainted the jury.
If you were an attorney you would know you cannot refuse to do anything with the clerk of court.
There's a reason the book was self-published. Any publishing house would have run the proposal, before the book was even written, through their legal department.

It was so distracting how her lawyer kept saying um, um, um, um, um. Makes you look like you are pulling thoughts off the top of you head because people aren’t buying your lies.
I watched this live and someone in chat asked why they did this so publicly.
My response was they couldn’t hide it. They couldnt do it quietly. It would have looked worse nor do so it out in the open. No one believes it is because of family.

QUESTION - Is it a conflict of interest for Justin Bamberg to be Becky's lawyer while also representing Murdaugh jurors and financial victims? I think he's a great lawyer, absolutely respectable and does a lot for the community... I'm just wondering if his representation could cause more problems.

I suspect the court wanted the public to know she was out, effective immediately so other criminal cases could proceed without prejudice. Hence, a deal was most likely cut on some of her crimes.

By chance do you have any merchandise? I think it became clear if she would try to run again she would either lose or she'd have a lot of problems and because she knows this is her last term, shes basically fired, she didnt want to keep doing the job and thats why she resigned and didnt just choose to not run again.
