🔴 NOT LEGAL ADVICE - Розваги
Prior’s questions implied the realtor was not competent and didn’t know how to do his job, the realtor undoubtedly felt insulted. Prior tries to put statements into witnesses mouths all the time and The realtor was having none of it. Prior did it to himself.
I agree, but it still has the potential to result in a mistrial or provide the grounds for an appeal...
Insulted the wrong witness hey Prior? Prior is getting everything he deserves. All of his snide comments get to some people. I believe the jury is going to feel the same way. Pretty sure there was a few laughs and smiles even from the Judge. 😂 Wild in the court room.
@@jewels9449 Yes, someone in the gallery said they saw a few jurors laughing and a smirk from the judge. No doubt Prior will try to use this for an appeal though.
And I'm not getting the point Prior was trying to make in bringing that up. Like, what did it matter?? Even if Prior had asked the question nicely without making it seem like the realtor had done anything wrong, what was the "gotcha" with that. I also don't get why looking at this property and whether they were going to maybe meet Monday matters beyond that several people could put Chad and Alex at a certain location at a certain time that Sunday (like, he couldn't be burying bodies at that time). But the testimony elicited has gone beyond having an "alibi" for the morning after/of the murder of JJ. It's like he's trying to bring in some other information or implication and I'm left scratching my head.
Exactly
Defense talks like he's addressing a toddler with everyone. As if he's the only adult in the room. I'm surprised every witness hasn't snapped at him
Reminds me of a snake-oil salesman.
he is a master of passive aggressive style questioning, for sure
That was great watching a witness hand Prior his ass on a platter 😂
Sometimes it takes a "hostile realtor"😂
I totally agree. Look at how he is leaning on the podium completely facing the jurors (NOT THE WITNESS) as he is asking the witness questions. That adds to the witness’s feeling of being talked down to and disrespected.
When he said “Well you own it, how many acres is it?” I literally spit water! The judge said it was factual, but not to consider it. The jurors aren’t going to forget that. 🤣
It is immaterial as to the guilt of Chad Daybell. Now, if it were the prosecutor- landlord, there would be a conflict.
So what? The lawyer has to be paid somehow.
@cessna2737 yes the lawyer should be paid. I don't think anyone would argue, or really even care. But hotdam is that FUNNY. "You own it you should know" makes my whole day. The should put it on a mug or something.
The judge is wrong here. Such question about defense attorney owning the defendants home is 100% relevant to show bias, coercion, duress, undue influence, just like when ask expert witness how much they are paid; or just like asking witnesses if they met with prosecutors b4 testifying and for how long and how many times; just like asking who is paying attorney fees in insurance cases like murdaugh boat crash/murder case or amber turd defamation case or car insurance litigation.
TLK must know this...he is a criminal defense attorney
@@usaroxx8085 so if the defendant had paid in all cash would the lawyer be under the same conflicts you believe he has? After all, he "owns Chad's bank account"...it's just a form of payment my dude, relax.
Rule #1 never ask a witness a question that you don't want to hear the answer to .
Uhm, note to self…
I just found it hilarious that Prior had it thrown back at him like that. The other time I was laughing was when he first replayed Tammy's 911 call but stopped it after the first small section then kept telling the witness Tammy never says gun or rifle. The witness said yes she does later in the call. Prior got his condescending tone on and was asking what he meant and that the call had stopped. The witness was like "yeah, because you stopped it" haha The next day Lindsay Blake played it again and IMO it drew attention to the fact that yes, later in the call she does call it just a gun and said it was like a rifle and that Prior was wrong. I thought that made him look to the jury either super shady playing tricks or like he doesn't know the facts.
I will have to find the video of that! I think part of his defense is to discredit the witness in small ways. Since the realtor stated that they were discussing about the home and such, prior asked him about the acreage. He spends way to much time asking stupid questions which is how he got this witty response 😂. I found it hilarious that he asked a question that he seemed not to know the answer to and it was his property now. I think this will not sway the jury but it may build distrust for the defense because he is asking “trick” questions that have no bearing on the trial.
Oh, I don’t think Prior was wrong, I think he was hoping the witness wouldn’t get it in and that it would slide by. John Pryor knew that 911 call like the back of his hand, in my opinion!
@@CoffeeCrazyI believe they were planning on putting a house over top of the children's bodies so no one would ever find them. If not for the dedication and speed of the police those children might never have been found.
Chad knew exactly where they were and he had a hand in their murder and cover up.
That was a great response by the police officer! He kinda’ laughed and smiled!! I loved it!!!😂
He was being tricksy and assumed the witness didn’t know. He’s an ass 😂
I do love how the judge said Pryor owning the property was a FACT twice!
So now, Pryor owns the death farm? Ok that's creepy!
it was probably the only way he could get paid as Chad wasn't paying him for his service
Right? I wonder if judge Boyce meant to say that? If Pryor caught that and reamed the judge out for it after court? Pretty funny stuff!
Appeal issue in my opinion.
@@trace_you6337old news - I heard it months ago Chad had to sign it over to Prior for atty fees. Guess Chad spent all his $$ in Hawaii with the witch!!
Funny how the attorney is allowed the be abrassive or condenscending etc. But the witness needs to play nice. Sounds like a great justice-fairness system.
Agree. Something is not right when the witness is required to show deference to the attorneys.
They are ALL supposed to be professional - including witnesses. It has to do with fundamental fairness to both sides and the court, and it has to do with overall courtroom decorum. I’ve seen judges admonish witnesses on the record (think of George Floyd trial and the awful paramedic that testified. She got her butt handed to her by the judge, on the record). However, the attorneys can be animated because they aren’t witnesses, and they need to sway the jury with their impassioned rhetoric. Some judges let it go for a little while, some bring them to sidebar to admonish them, and some go so far as to put it on the record if it’s really bad behavior. There is no rule about being an impassioned advocate for your client, it just needs to be professional and judges have wide latitude on this.
@@slapeters2004 I clearly understand that. Sounds like brainwashing from attorney sway, just saying. Word salad for sure. I try to stay away from watching such things because everyone sees things differently and that causes too much division and disharmony. This is a very sad case for all involved. Prior doing his job- ok but clearly my morals say that's NOT the job for me. Wishing you a beautiful day and stay blessed.
@@paulettekelly1146 let me just clarify - I do think Pryor is a jerk.. he's bullish, sarcastic, and rude. I haven't liked him since the beginning. I do agree with you though - why can't people be kind?! On the flip side, this attorney has a monster task to prove the state wrong and his attitude is probably appealing to a defendant who is fighting for his life. I get that... but I just don't like the guy either.
@@slapeters2004 appreciate you. The way I think most can't relate. I believe all things happen as they should just like this conversation. If you liked Prior I would not ding you for that. I guess if I was guilty and didn't want to go away for it sure Prior would be the guy. Takes a special kind of attorney to do what he's doing that's for sure.
Why do you think the witness is supposed to just sit passively and get disrespected by the attorney. Why would this incident be an appellate issue? It's irrelevant and has nothing to do with the murders.
because it suggests that the lawyer owns some of chads property and there may be a vested interest in the outcome of the case for him over the boundaries of strictly him doing his job
@@WTF34720which is nothing more than the truth, which I would have thought should be what is expected in a court personally
Why was prior even asking. He open the door and there was no apparent point to his questions. If there is a successful appeal or mistrial because of this, Prior intentionally instigated it.
Peter explains what the issue is. Witnesses respond to questions asked, they don't provide something irrelevant to the answer that isn't apart of the case or in evidence.
@@WTF34720 But every lawyer has a vested interest in the outcome of their cases, even if only their reputations. And jurors would quickly deduce, oh that must be how Chad is paying his lawyer. Done. It was funny, snarky, and clearly Prior didn't expect to get his own shit slung back at him. It also clearly painted the witness as hostile. But I just really don't understand the "appellate" issue. If anything, Prior opened that door, by asking random facts about the property that were seemingly irrelevant to the crime. I also think the judge could have gently admonished the witness by saying to please answer the question only with no added commentary. Although, the judge also had to be careful not to discredit the witness since it was a true statement as well. Just my $0.02
John Prior’s condescending “ok” is like nails run down a chalkboard. 😑
Also.. When he says ‘thank yooooouuuuu’ in a childlike way…
Okay okay 👌🏽 😂
If I were a juror, this witness' statement would be no different than the several statements made by Prior which the judge also asked the jury to ignore. What has stuck with me most is Prior fat shaming the victim which stayed on the record.
If I was a juror I would be wondering. But the judge asked not too. Some what prejudicial IMHO.
Yes!!!!
In all honesty, the jury probably already know about him owning the house
And TD was not "fat". She wasn't miss slim and trim like the "goddess" (goddess of evil), but she was an average mother of frive....
It was disgusting and Tammy was in great shape too! Chad on the other hand ….
What gets me is NOT WAITING for their son, MARK, to get sent home from his MISSION, before having TAMMY'S FUNERAL!!!!!! MASSIVE RED FLAGS!!!
I was told it's not unusual for missionaries not to come home for funerals- it's a high demand religion. Also I think he was in Africa, so even if he was coming home, making it in time for a Tuesday funeral would have been a stretch. ( and expensive)
Everything is weird with this family, imo. Red flags everywhere.
I know, Chad was all about getting to Lori! Makes you sick to your stomach!!
@@trayceturner9484 Lie, Cheat, steal and KiII...he did what little chubby told him to do! He's a complete creep!
@@ameelecoq8801 he was on his way home. He just wasn't told how fast the funeral would be. And let's not forget Chad was texting his goddess over the weekend how he can't wait to be with her.
Yeah, God forbid that the jurors see an attorney get slapped in the face with the truth.
Real estate man , got it in so jurors couldn't UNHEAR IT !!
BRAVO !!!!!!
Right and created an appellate issue. It’s unresponsive and irrelevant.
This is not TV. I rather Chad get convicted without any issues, then Prior get a clap back.
Prior opened this door - not on the witness.
I'd rather he hadn't. He could have blown this trial. It could be brought up in an appeal bc its prejudicial. It could have the opposite affect ppl are thinking bc the witness disrespected the judge first & maybe that pissed the the jury off & now they will discredit the very important information about the manufactured home. They might think he's trying to hide something bc he didn't want to answer the question. Maybe they felt it reflected poorly on the prosecution. The jury doesn't have the same negative emotions towards chad and Prior, they just want to do their job and do it well. I honestly don't know if it's worse if they were happy or upset about it. Happy= possible bias= unfair trial= appeal. Upset= points for Chad. My immediate reaction was disappointment and "Nooooo... don't fall into the trap"
It’s not an appellate issue. The defense opened the door.
If I were a juror, that statement by the realtor would have made me laugh, but wouldn't effect anything to do with guilt or innocence. Prior owning the house was simply a way to be paid.
Exactly
I'm new to this trial. Did Chad pay his lawyer by giving the lawyer his house?
@@TranquilityBase69yes chad gave him his house and is allowing some of his kids to stay there and rent it.John prior also tried to get off the daybell case before trail for non payment.guess the house wasn’t enough to cover all the work he has done and has to still do
@@kellyj3544 thank you Kellyj
I agree, I guess I don't even understand where the appellate issue comes in since every jury knows that every defendant has to pay their lawyer unless state appointed. Payment does not equal collusion.
My immediate reaction to the "you own it, Prior," was how stupid of Prior to ask such a question of a real estate agent witness!
And then prior calls him "hostile"...he who smellt it dealt it! 😂
I always thought that lawyers are taught ‘never ask a question if you don’t already know the answer’. Prior seems to get caught flatfooted an awful lot.
1) Don't ask any question that you don't know the answer to.
2) Use only yes/no leading questions to cross-examine hostile witnesses, because they will slip in derogatory comments if given the opportunity. Example:
"Isn't it true that Chad's house sat on a [80 acre or whatever the acreage was -- don't ask if you don't know] parcel?" or "Chad's house sat on an 80 acre parcel, didn't it?" Not "How many acres was the property that Chad's house was on?"
Exactly
...and then to top it off, the "hostile real estate agent" asked the judge if he could sit in the audience as he was leaving the stand. The problem for Prior is he has been going after Law Enforcement witnesses, and they can maintain composure on cross. When you put normal people on the stand, who are not used to being picked apart by Prior, feathers get ruffled. This "hostile real estate agent" feathers got ruffled, and he proved to be not only one of the most effective witnesses so far, but the most memorable one. The GOAT Real Estate Agent!!!
Oh I missed that he asked to sit in the courtroom 😂...did Judge Boyce let him?
I loved him 😂
Yes he did@@ChaCha-lt8rx
The land cannot be subdivided therefore how can Prior own part of it?
@ChaCha-lt8rx yes he allowed him to stay in the courtroom.
Prior's condescending "okay" drives me insane 😡
And everytime he says “riiiight?” 😵💫
Same. I was wondering why it bothered me so much and realized 2 day's ago this is the way my sister talks to me. Well I think she has narcissistic traits.
I’m noticing he says ‘Ok’a lot when he’s in a moment of defeat, meaning he didn’t expect that answer.
Or the ‘that’s okay’ when he asks an irrelevant question
@@Monalisa0622 having been married to a narc for 30 years, I can spot them a mile away and I can tell you that Prior is most definitely a narc
Prior was rude. He insinuated the real estate agent was not doing his job properly two times. Not knowing David had enough money to buy, which you would never do at that stage, not researching houses when they were selling land. He tried to put words in his mouth several times. He asked about acreage several times and tried to say the agent was wrong by repeating the question.
2 moments with this witness made me chuckle, when he told Prior he didn't see the relevance if he went through David Warwicks financials and the land belongings to Prior. Finally, someone snapped back!
I laughed at his comment and thought finally someone stood up to Prior, but it wouldn’t have affected my decision as a juror. What might creep in to my decision is how abrasive Prior is.
What the prosecution did with the open door about the mobile home questioning did affect the jury's thinking.
@@gigiis526 How would you know?
It opens the door so the jury will think that he was thinking of putting a mobile house over the bodies of the children. Peter didn’t show it but the defence asked him what was required to put up the house. He could have done it himself with the kids and machinery and backhoes. Dug up the backyard where the bodies were destroyed almost all the evidence and laid a concrete slab and then put the house on top and just he only needed the to connect water and electricity. It’s much faster than a regular house. It would have required the police pretty much destroying the house to find the children if they ever found any remains that weren’t destroyed in the process (maybe bone fragments).
agree he does it intentionally to rattle the witness and hopefully get them to change their statements which a lot of them back down and their voice gets real quiet and then they sound unsure of themselves. that's what he wants
The Arnold’s are good people and great friends to Tammy. They have more respect for her life than her own children. A real shame.
They do seem like really good people. I don’t understand what is motivating the Daybell children except maybe fear of their father.
Brainwashed.
The only thing that I can figure is they’ve already lost one parent and don’t want to lose another.,
@idahardy4052 Chad has trained his whole family in that nonsense. If fully grown people can create whole and frequent conferences, make a whole living selling books and began to repopulate a whole town what chance do children raised in a family with a controlling and manipulating father have?
😢
I would not want to own a piece of property where the children were buried. That creeps me out.
Can’t imagine that property having much value now. Who the heck would want a home with all that sad death and evilness connected to it.
Prior embodies why so many people have low opinions of lawyers, especially defense lawyers
The defense lawyer in the Lori Daybell trial is a prime example. I named him The Blob.😂
Anne Taylor is an exception.
“You own it” was such a 🎤 drop, the realtor wasn’t having Prior’s crap, and I’m here for it! That said, If Prior had questioned witnesses as calmly as he did yesterday, it would be better, but most days he’s so abrasive and condescending, I think it’s harming Chad’s case. Just my nonprofessional opinion as I’m not a lawyer.
If I were a juror, I wouldn’t care case wise that Prior is getting paid via the house since the Daybells aren’t made of money. My issues with Prior are more with how he’s badgered and condescended and been just plain rude these last few weeks, as well as how his questions sometimes are redundant and pointless. I think the respectful questioning route is best, but save any aggressive tactics for a witness who isn’t being truthful. I think his rude and meandering wear -em-down strategy throughout isn’t going to sit well with the jurors. Culturally, I think rural Idaho isn’t very different than my native South, and rudeness is very frowned on. We all get he’s got to provide the zealous defense, but I think he could have done so with the strong respectful way, and jurors would be much more ok with him. He doesn’t have a lot to work with here, but aggression IMO is hurting him. Strong doesn’t always mean rude and DGAF attitude. In this type of culture, it means confident yet respectful, being competent, calm and capable, like the school principal and Tammy’s friends were. He needs to say, “exhume,” instead of “dig up,” since he apparently agrees the coroner initially f’ed up. He needs to say, “Your Honor,” instead of “Judge.” Honor indeed is what he is missing, and in this somewhat honor culture, like the south, he is shooting himself in the foot so hard but doesn’t realize it or DGAF.
Could this be used to say Chad does not have a competent defense lawyer and then his conviction overturned? Or more likely another trial. It’s probably means neither one of those two things, certainly not an overturned conviction.
Amen
And you’re correct, south eastern Idahoans are not going to be ok with his disrespectful attitude.
As someone from the south as well I agree with this 100% rudeness isn’t well took where I come from anyways although I’m no lawyer but as a juror I can say the way he treats people makes me just like ugh
Prior was so quick to shut it down, must have been embarrassing, nice one realtor!!😂
The realtor is now officially dark

I don’t think it’s that weird that Chad paid Prior with his house. It’s weirder that Prior is Chad’s daughter’s landlord.
I thought it was very funny the witness said: 'I don't think this question is relevant.' About time somebody messes with John Pryor.
Prior is a BULLY
He's a hostile lawyer
When I first heard it I laughed because it was so unexpected, although I already know Prior owns the house. Even if I didn’t know though, I think the fact has zero relevance to the case. It doesn’t aid either side one way or another. It was just nice to hear a witness clap back at Prior.
Prior should realise that if you're prepared to dish it out you should also be prepared to take it.
Agree!!!
Great job, Real Estate Man! Prior is such a “hick” (change first letter) toward ALL of the witnesses, and it was nice to see an actual grown up respond to Prior’s poor behavior. I LOVED it!
😂I laughed out loud when the realtor witnesses said, You oughta know. You own it.” What a beautiful response to that pompous defense attorney!!!
I loved that the witness responded as he did because he set boundaries on prior that he was having none of his bullying, snarky, disrespectful questions. Everyone else prior cross examined just took his rude statements. Mr. Arnold didn’t. Pure and simple! Prior had asked 2-3 times before about acreage. The witness answered 79 vs 88 acres-who cares anyway! Then Prior brings it up AGAIN! If I’m a juror, I’m glad he stood up to Prior. I wouldn’t focus at all on the current owner of the property.
Omgosh you literally said exactly what I just did, having asked numerous times, asking again was just one time too many and sheer condescension. ❤❤❤
As a potential juror, I did not like it and would be wondering. The judge asked not too, but the witness did not do any good by being an smart as$s.
it is not the role of the witness to set boundaries for the lawyer. the witness is there to answer questions. mostly the YES or NO type. This is done for a reason, and the reason is that just like in this instance, it can provide grounds for an appeal!!!! or mistrial!!!! Just because the lawyer is perceived to be snarky, does not mean that the witness has to match the laver of snarkyness... What is great is to let the jury see a snarky lawyer and let them make their own conclusions based on that as well... It all adds up when it comes to decision time.
The 79-88 acres was of the property they were looking at (interest in buying). When he gave the snarky remark he was asking about the Daybell Property.
He was asking a novel question tbf.
But he was snippy because how long Prior belaboured him not checking David’s financial status before moving on. To a business man he probably felt like he was insinuating he didn’t do his due diligence or was connected to this cult.
Watch how Pryor is leaning on the podium FACING THE JURORS (not the realtor) as he cross examined this witness. That body language might have suggested to the witness that he was trying to expose him as incompetent…I can see that! And the realtor didn’t appreciate it. I get it! He was probably thinking, “have enough respect for me to look at me as you ask me questions and stop peppering me with details that are irrelevent…ask me questions related to the case!” That’s what I’ve thought about a lot of Pryor’s very detailed/irrelevant questions to try to discredit the witness.
Yes, to me Prior always seems to lean on his pulpit and face the Jury when asking questions instead of giving respect to the person testifying, so disrespectful and condescending IMO, is this something Lawyers normally do?
Not that I've seen. I've been in court a number of times and the attorney always gave the witness the respect of their attention when asking a question. Pryor seems to be playing to the jury and this time got burned.
I snort laughed when he said that. Prior has been so good at getting the prosecution witnesses to agree with him. It has been making me crazy. Kind of satisfying to have someone push back 😆
The part where the blond prosecutor said Prior “opened the door” for testimony to come in… her response back and interaction with Anthony was the best thing so far!
Maybe Mr Arnold is so upset with Chad and being fooled by him and is disgusted that he killed his wife
@sanbets2780 You nailed it!!!!!🔨🔨🔨
I immediately thought ohh, the shade. Prior should be more polite to witnesses, if you’re rude don’t be surprised when others don’t have respect for you.
"You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar".
In the story of James and Elana they had 7 children. Lori was referring to that as their real life. Crazy!
If Pryor is coming across this negatively, and trust me, I click off whenever he's on, I can imagine the jurors are not very fond of him either 🙄
I hate that sales-y "Right?" that Prior uses a lot. It's total manipulation.
Peter, what ticked off the realtor was when Prior questioned his professionalism with the nonsense about not doing a credit check on David Warwick.
Prior, not Chad
Yes agree 100%
I agree. Prior was deeply disrespectful condescending and rude, while putting words in his mouth. He was done being disrespected with irrelevant stuff.
Priors demeanor losing the case. Witnesses fighting back not a good look.

Prior: " a hostile witness ".😅😅😅
As condescending as Pryor has been, I applauded this realtor's smartass answer.
“Objection! Counsel (Prior) is testifying!” could have been yelled a minimum of 20 more times today by the State. Prior tries to lull people to sleep with his pediatric therapist voice and then insert false facts EVERY WITNESS!!! (Oops, my mistake 🙄 he says)

I felt the witness started getting tense with Pryor when he was asked did you check if David Warwick could afford the property before meeting him. The witness seemed to take offense to that like Pryor was questioning his ability as an agent or if he was a dummy. After that his back was up. So he was a snake waiting in the grass for an opportunity to point out how dumb Pryor could be.
He was seeking to undermine the experience of the Realtor. The witness did a quick retort that he did not know Warwick, that it was Daybell. May I add that the Realtor didn’t want to work on Sunday, and if Warwick was available on Monday as testified, he would have chosen Monday to show the property. These are sel-employed people, Realtors, who have to weigh their income and lifestyle with regard to making an appointment, and how they will practice their dedication to their faith. He pushed back to a point. Then had to show the property.
@@JudyTullos Agreed with all you are saying. I am self employed too and sundays are a day of not working. I recall David Warwick testified that he too did not like to work Sundays. Sounds like both men only met because of the insistence of others.

The question insulting the realtor’s work ethic and ability was rude. Prior deserved what he got in response.

I went back there at some point ,making a bunch of noise, because I saw some type of creature had dug a hole under the side of the barn. After stopping around a bit a big hairy groundhog jumped up very mad to be woken up & disturbed! He came running out ready to fight 🤣🤣🤣
@@blazefairchild465 he didn’t wake it up.He was looking to see what it was with binoculars from inside the house
Knowing where the children were found and the fact he wanted to put a manufactured home that needs a slab would have made me think “cover-up”.
Exactly!
It would make me laugh as a juror because Prior comes off as a jerk to witnesses, but it wouldn’t have anything to do with my decision in deliberations.
it is hard to know what influences our decisions and how we look at the facts... what facts do we consider more relevant etc. I believe that a strong dislike of the lawyer can def influence our decision about a case.
@@miam1074then you’ve never been a juror. The majority of states attys run jurors the wrong way as they make up their story line like puzzle pieces, and it’s apparent. That doesn’t allow for jurors to not convict or acquit a defendant.
It would totally make me demand answers..and when emma ..his tenant is on the stand. ..huge questions
I agree!! Funny... Yes. But there's so many other facts and details that shows how dishonest Chad is!!
@@lwlw3393 Doesn’t Emma have her own house? There’s some reason she’s staying there. Maybe there’s some more bodies hidden 😀
If Prior wasn’t so abrasive with the witnesses, I wouldn’t think much of this information tbh. I appreciate that he really wants off of this case (I would too) but you can cross-examine and point out inconsistencies without the condescension, attitude, etc. Don’t give the jury more reasons to hate your awful client 😂
Immediate reaction - prior was insulting the realtor repeatedly during the questioning. So him staying a fact and throwing him off was a perfect response. I only wish I had someone to high five when I heard this while driving alone.
Honestly, as someone who hasn’t been following every minute of this trial, my initial thought would merely be “oh, he turned over his house as payment to the lawyer.” The judge making the record makes it seem like a bigger deal than it probably is.
Prior comes off to me as a buffoon. The witness is more prepared than he is.
and there's that.
The mic was on in sidebar and we heard what was said!! Prosecution said the door was open to talk about the property! Listen to the states questions to the witness after the sidebar!!! That was huge!!!! Blake asked the realtor if he had an opinion now as to why Chad wanted to put a house on the property and he said YES!!!
You are right! That was huge!
Lori was sitting in jail. Tylee and JJ hadn't been found yet. If he had been allowed to put a trailer on that Property they may have never been found!! Shows his involvement in a cover up of evidence and he knew the children were there. What a slug!! Wonder how his kids will feel after hearing that??
That was a great moment. She just left that answer hanging too. Very impactful i think.
I agree! The best thing so far in this trial! Chad wasn’t involved? He was to bring a modular home on the property to have equipment on the property and “destroy evidence” ! (Bodies buried on his property)
@@sharonmcdaniel5248they were going to put a house right on TOP of the bodies. Could you imagine living in that place with kids under your foundation? I hope they BOTH rot in jail.
I applaud Mr. Arnold for his reply to Pryor about the property.
Pryor should have known this line of questioning could reveal he owned the property. But I hope Mr Arnold hasn't thrown the trial with that response.
I hope the realtor gets lots of clients from this. He is an absolute HERO in my book. He slapped back at Prior for his rudeness. Something thousands have wanted to see happen to Prior and his horrible abrasive style of lawyering.
BTW, as an real estate agent myself, we are under a fiduciary obligation not to disclose a client's financial information. I was trained to NOT run financials and credit until a person signs a contract with me to avoid situations exactly like this line of questioning, where I have unprotected information on someone.
Thank You Peter for noticing that about Chad and his defense trying to say it was Alex and Lori, yet Chad still hung out with Alex....
Hearing Daybells lawyer owned his property would have raised my eyebrows BUT I would assume he used it to pay his lawyer. Nothing nefarious here
Unless of course jurors find out the Daybell children are renting from Prior? It’s all so weird.
Happens all the time🙂
@@RaeLynn-yf3hbstill irrelevant. He is not adverse to the Defendant.
The only weird thing for me is owning somewhere that 2 murdered children were buried in the backyard
I think the state made a point in recross to mention that Chad was the owner of the property during the time this all played out, to get rid of any jurors confused if Prior actually owned the property when all these crimes were commited.
As a juror I would now really think that Prior is insencere with his questions and manipulative in the way he frames or phrases them because the question about the acerage was so insincere.
Insult a witness like this = expect the tea to spill
I think after 7 times of informing Pryor of the acreage of that land incl property, to be asked yet again was just one times too many for the witness to take it any other way than sheer condescension.
That was different property.
If I were on the jury, I don't think I would have given it much thought except for Prior's reaction. This seems minor compared to so many other things.
Prior wanted to call out Rob Wood for texting with Melanie Gibb. Prior literally rents a home to one of his future witnesses (Emma). Also, it’s not like JP hasn’t been paid anything by Chad. If the trial hadn’t been delayed for 4 years, chads trial defense could have taken place before he became indigent
I would agree wholeheartedly.
My immediate reaction was the witness felt John Pryor was attacking him, so therefore, the witness took the opportunity to zing Pryor back. It did not and does not, affect my decision or judgement of any evidence, already presented. I also think the witness may have felt Pryor was insinuating that the witness could have had knowledge about the deaths and it made the witness furious.
Prior got told 😄 You can't come at some people and expect them not to come back at you 😄
Ive never had to pay for a defense lawyer in any kind of case, but current zillow listed value of the daybell property is 449,000. in 2021 when the deed ws transferred to prior is was 219,000. Plus he is supposedly receiving monthly rent from those daybell family members still living there. Just a thought is he really not being paid?
Doesn’t Emma and her family still live there? The one Pryor keeps talking about how close she was to Tammy? Seems a little cozy when your star witness for the defence is also your tenant….
@@lighttiger1319 Actually, yes, that is awkward. I hadn't thought about that part of the equation with regards to Pryor owning the property. That does seem like a conflict. But, they often use statements and reports from witnesses that would have occurred before the property transfer. So, hopefully, justice can be served. Although, it sounds like Emma had already drunk the KoolAid from the get-go.
I think Prior was purposefully badgering the witness over a dumb acreage number that he himself was in full knowledge of. Prior knew exactly what he was doing, then played the victim of a hostile witness.
I think this moment is funny as hell, even if it's inappropriate. The realtor was offended by John Pryor insinuating that he had not done his due diligence by not running Warwick's financials, etc. The realtor became defensive and took the opportunity to make a snide remark.
that was EPIC. def best line of the trial so far.
Absolutely!😂❤
I working with this playing on the background. I instantly spotted working and grabbed my phone, did me really just say that!? Is that true?
A mistrial because of the behavior of a witness? The lawyers have created a storytelling atmosphere and prior and/or the judge can remind the witness to answer the question with a yes or no at anytime. Yes, Prior is a defense attorney representing his client but he speaks as though he is not talking to a jury of regular people. Maybe he is just speaking to an appeals court. I feel sorry for the jurors having to listen to him cross-paint. He is exhausting.
You asked. If I was a juror i would go home and laugh all weekend. As far as whether Chad was guilty or not, it would not matter one bit. It is just a matter of the realtor standing up to the snarky lawyer. Very funny.
I can’t believe Chad thought that David Warwick was going to buy 79 acres for his “white tent city”! 😂
Oh. I think Chad is such a narcissist that the whole reason he moved to Idaho was to try and get his brother's 12 acres away from him.
I loved the male prosecution trying not to laugh walking to the bench. I'm going to rewatch again to watch the judge as I forgot about his reaction 😂
Look at the blonde prosecutors reaction and the lady in back to the left of her.
I follow Hidden True Crime and she is in court evert day and she said when she looked at the Judge ,she could tell he had a little smirk on his face.
I bet so many are rewatching it! I did and I probably will again!!😃
“You own it”! Too good!
😂😂😂
I love it. Give it back to the jerk. He isn't there to be a jerk to everyone.
Put your case on but be respectful
Once the Jury hears anything they always will remember it.
I was watching when it happened. I laughed out loud, thinking finally someone has pushed back on Prior’s condescending methods.
Prior asked...realtor answered
First thing i did when the witness answered, "You own it you should know" lol. I cracked up and thought, well it is true. A real wise guy! Prior got a jolt from that!😂😅👍
Prior acted like he was lied to about the size of the land. Then he wanted to ask how much it was worth. That's when the Witness wasn't having it.
Peter, watch Chad when the realtor says “you own it!”…..how many mannerisms of uncomfortable can you count?
Also rewatch the clip and pay attention to the blonde prosecutor’s face. She is absolutely in SHOCK at her witness.
First reaction was a bit surprised at the zing lol . 2nd thought; As a juror I'd be wondering why Prior owns it, and why would his lawyer want property where his client had 2 dead kids buried on.
The judge back on record to jury "...witness just provided what was, essentially, an unsolicited FACTUAL response to the case..." Definitely highlighted the witness response even more.
So much is weird in this case. The fact some of Chads kids rent the house where there mother was murdered and where a murdered child and young teen were buried. Chads kids cannot face the horror that is their father.
@@teresas8173I know!! How can they do that? There has got to be some ?s they have about their Mom and those kids!! I don't get how they still support him with everything that has come out!! Poor Tammy !! And how can they even be at that property knowing the kids remains were there!!!!
It may hit them later when he’s behind bars and they feel safer. Maybe.
Prior got a taste of his medicine…..a sarcastic, leading, inappropriate cross…that when he gets a sustained objection, he continues to ask the same questions..or really just testifies without any questions to the witness…for which he will get another well deserved objection from the state….ya, that kind of his own medicine!
I thought that Prior deserved it. It was an unexpected, yet brilliant, response. I’m still chuckling. LOL
“This is not your case to win”
OK, OK, but Mr. Realtor is not a “professional” witness or an attorney…so don’t ask questions you don’t have the answers to😅 and you can’t tell me Prior did NOT know the acreage 😂😂😂❤❤❤
The “ACTING” dumb or confusion that Prior is pulling to get to the level (he thinks) of the jurors is not doing him or his client any favors.😮😊
Prior knows the acreage of Daybell (now his) property. He has brought it up at least twice in precious days.
@@MagnaB-8why was he even asking?
@@teresas8173
Because feigning stupidity is his superpower.. 😂
Love that Colby refers to Chad as Peter Griffin, I cant look at Chad without thinking that.
It wouldn't surprise me. How else is the attorney going to be paid.
It's a realtor, I would think he knows that prior owns the property.
I love the fact that the only thing prior keeps presenting is information he's getting from Chad.. this guy never had a private investigator look into anything for him and his client
Mr. Prior set the stage during this entire trial so far… I commend his response! Gooo, Mr. Arnold!
Wooosh witness not loving Prior lol
Definitely
Also- I was waiting for you to zoom in and show the moment Mr Arnold responded to Prior about the acreage. Did you see the prosecutors mouth drop open? Mine did, too. And RW had to cover his mouth while walking around for the side bar. I knew about that fact before and I was seriously laughing my behind off! Prior has asked questions about the property over and over stating he has been by it “a couple of times”. Can we say a couple hundred times?? 👀 Well, at the very least, we know it’s way more than a couple of times.
Honestly I felt like it was time for someone to clap back.
Omg I would have been kicked out of the courtroom. I literally snorted when he said that!!
My thought of prior owning the house is straight away is that it makes sense Emma Chads daughter is defence witness because surely she needs to say what they tell her because she rents the property from prior! PETER is that going to be a conflict? Xx
Great question!
My immediate reaction , YES, this creep was finally put in his place but never did I think it had anything to do with the guilt or innocence of CD.
If I were a juror, I would have the exact same thought at that statement as the thought I had when I heard it.- This is a bitter witness and good lawyers get paid.
