Thanks for the vid, I need a new lower ball joint on my 2017 Malibu and just found out I had to buy the whole control arm. This actually looked fairly easy to do.

Same here. I was so confused why I couldn't find ball joints and then I realized I had to buy the control arm

@@MRSEEK100 O'Reilly Auto Parts can get it. That is where I got mine. They have to order it and it only takes a day.

Thanks for the video. I didn't hear you mention though that all those bolts were torque to yield. I hope you replaced them with new bolts since they were permanently stretched at the factory. High risk of sudden and catastrophic failer if reused.

Friend hit a curb, had to replace the lower control arm as it was completely bent, alone with the sway bar. After replacing we’re getting a “steering assist reduced” any idea what it could be?

Never use a hammer on a threaded bolt to shove it in, which is what was done at 9:21 of the video. All else great.

Why not? I did that plenty of time with no damage at all and it actually helped me align the part 😑

He doesn't need one. Hes the only one in his work area and he picked them up after they fell, just wasn't recorded

Can the gray bushing be replaced without replacing the arm?
