For real. I’m going down the rabbit hole for this issue right now and hundreds of people on every forum is saying the exact same thing. I mean I’ve never seen a more common issue for the Malibu
Thank you for the advice. It was spot on. Just replaced both of my rear knuckles 2018 malibu and it runs smooth and silent now. Saved so much time for guessing the problem.
I was told that the noise my car is making is the rear knuckle bushing is that the same? If so do you have the parts available my husband has been trying to find
About an hour. It's pretty easy. I also have all the proper tools needed and 15+ years experience working on cars. It may take someone with less experience or a smaller tool set a bit longer. Good luck
I just had this done I had my front struts done as well and the rear extension done as well and the knuckles and bushings I’m still hearing the noise when Turing and over bump not as loud but still noticeable what could it be I’ve got a 2018 Chevy Malibu primeur 2.0 can it be the cv joint ? Got my work don’t at Chevy payed 1350 just for the knuckles and bushings
This is a lot simpler than I was anticipating. Thanks for the vid. Good work 👍
They need to go ahead and make this a recall issue. So many of these are bad.
For real I’m replacing mine now

Same issue for Opel/Vauxhall insignia here in UK and Europe. We are going the route of just changing the bushings rather than the whole knuckle.

Well organized video
Great video! Any idea the torque specs on all those bolts?
Where did you get the knuckles and do you have part numbers
Where did you purchase the new knuckle from?
Thank you for the video. Question: why not remove the wheel bearing from knuckle AFTER removing knuckle from suspension?
If I remember right I needed it out of the way for one of my sockets to fit but it's been a while now.
Thanks

Yes that's correct. And you can find them fairly inexpensive online
Where was you able to order the knuckle from
Where did you get the bushing? I’m not sure where to get just the bushing instead of the entire knuckle.
sadly they do not sell the bushing it's self. have to replace the whole knuckle
Are the bolts tty
how long did it take? I have to do it. I got my struts done at a shop but they said these were also bad.

It could be. Hard to know for sure without seeing it in person
