    ConsumerLabs recently released a report that found that many of the most popular dark chocolate bars & powders contain high levels of lead and/or cadmium.. I’ve linked my favorite brands in the description box above and on the blog post that are third party tested and have very low levels of these heavy metals. *you can also find the macros for each hot chocolate recipe on the blog post! ☺️♥️

      @@KaylaJChandler I rec'd the password reset and was able to log in. However I tried several times to download food list and it doesn't download. The screen blinks and just goes away. I'm trying to do it on my phone so I don't know if that's the problem or not. Any advice?

    Thank you for this! I have been missing hot chocolate, especially, this time of the year. I agree, after reading the ingredients on the convenient store bought hot chocolate, and all the ingredients they use I gave it up! Looking forward to trying them all 😊

    Wow this came up just at the right time! Was craving some hot chocolate and thinking about getting this Trader Joes hot chocolate I saw recommended elsewhere
    Thank you for the reminder about the additives! (Reason why my last box of TJ hot chocolate expired unused!)
    I didn’t have time to make a recipe, but I was already making a cappuccino for myself using my Nespresso and a separate Breville milk steamer foamer
    So I just added in a spoon of cocoa powder, a little sugar, and a little bit of vanilla. Not even a quarter teaspoon. Delicious!
    Thank you for the heads up on checking where the Coco is sourced from. I did not know that. Have a great Christmas!🎉

      Ohhh that sounds delicious! And, yes, sadly we have to be hyper aware of where our food is sourced from nowadays to ensure we’re getting the highest quality ingredients but that’s what I’m here for! 🥰

      @@KaylaJChandler Can’t wait! Would you be able to make some sort of vegetarian/plant based recipe for it?? I’m vegetarian but I’m always trying to figure out what I could swap proteins with. I do eat meat though on some rare occasions!

      Just sub the maple syrup with a low carb sweetener.. my personal fav is birch xylitol bc it tastes the most like real sugar with no bitter aftertaste. It is toxic to dogs though so be sure to keep it out of reach! My second fav is monk fruit 🥰

    Kayla for the first hot chocolate did you use almond milk & coconut milk? Also what kind of regular milk can be used to make it dairy free?

    • @KaylaJChandler
      @KaylaJChandler  2 роки тому +1

      For the first one, I use 1/2 almond and 1/2 full fat canned coconut milk to give it an extra creamy texture.. sorry forgot to mention that in the video! To make it dairy free, you can use any type of plant based milk (almond, cashew, oat, coconut, etc.)

      Thank you!! I’m new to eating gluten & dairy free so I struggle with what to use for milks, butters, cheese etc!

    If you bloom the cocoa powder before adding it into the milk it makes a richer chocolate flavor.

    There is nothing healthy in these recipes, you can make these healthier but you don't need a whole chocolate bar or a ton of marshmallows or whipped cream. I'll stick to mine.
