    1. Eat veggies, then proteins fats then carbs and sugars
    2. Add veggie starter: raw veges, cooked, etc with dressing. A whole plate of it!! 30% of volume of meal.
    3. Don’t count calories. Focus on keeping glucose levels even. Less hunger.
    4. Savoury breakfast. Protein, yoghurt, nuts, meat fish, fat and fibre. Nothing sweet.
    5. All sugars behave the same; all create a glucose spike. Eat what you like.
    6. Pick dessert over sweet snack. If stomach is empty, glucose causes spike, then a crash. After meal, food will slow down sugar absorption.
    7. Vinegar 1 tbsp in glass of water before meals changes spike by 30%. Apple cider vinegar, etc all work. Can also be used in dressing. Capsules and supplements don’t work. Antispike supplement may be a good alternative.
    8. Move after eating. 10 minutes of movement within 90 min of eating. Calf raises will do it!!!
    9. Savoury snacks between meals. Cheese on toast, sugar only after meals.
    10. When you eat any starch, add protein, fat or fibre. Eg chocolate cake + yoghurt, pasta + cheese, etc.

I started doing the ten hacks around february, I was weighing at that time around 202 pounds ( 92 kilos ), I've been using the apple cider vinegar in the morning since then, savory breakfast, salad first at lunch and dinner and eating up to 8 pm max every day. I started to exercise a month ago at home and work standing during the day. My weight now is 174 pounds ( 78.9 kilos ). I feel really good. Everybody is asking what I've done to lose weight, then I tell them about the ten hacks and how to change their eating habits. This is a lifestyle. Thank you Jessie! That's really an amazing revolution!

I was told a year ago that I was pre-diabetic and my blood pressure was sky high. I might add that I am 71 years old.. I tried NORMAL calorie counting which really didn't work very well. Then I read Glucose Revolution and decided it couldn't do me any harm. I've just had my annual check with the GP. I've gone from 91 kilos to 75 Kilos, I am no longer pre-diabetic and my blood pressure is now in the good to normal range. Discovering this method has been a revelelation. In addition my rheumatoid symptoms are much improved. So, thank you Jesse.

I just stumbled upon your channel and I really enjoy all the information. My HbA1C is 5.5 I am (overweight: used to be 102 kg, nor 96 kg), had Gestational diabetes in my 3 pregnancies.
I am in the medical field myself and found research how insulin is toxic to embryo-placenta cells and from then on did more research. How bad hyperinsulinemia is bad and can cause so many illnesses that doctors only prescribe pills for and talk about lifestyle change. They focus on the blood sugar but not on the insulin-spike. I, myself, for now am doing a more radical approach by going (sometimes dirty) keto for now. It didn't take long to feel the difference in my body. On my vacation I went back to 3 days of the normal carbohydrated diet and I felt sick, belly aches etc. Now I am back on track and appreciate the journey and I am thankful for all the knowledge I have gained.
I will incorporate your tips and will be spreading them among (pre-) diabetic patients whenever I get the chance!

Thank you so much, Jessie!!! I have always struggled with my weight. I did drop 50 pounds about 12 years ago. I tried Paleo, then Keto, which was hard to sustain. I'm gluten and cow dairy intolerant, and haven't eaten sugar in 12 years. Then I went from a size 10 to a size 14 when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. I've been trying so hard to get the weight off. My doctor put me in metformin and it didn't help at all. And then I saw these hacks and tried them. They are SO easy!!! I stopped taking the metformin. And I'm starting to fit back into my size 10s again! You are such a life saver! I'm looking forward to a healthy future because of you! Thank you, Jessie! And, by the way, I love your style! You always look amazing!

When my kids were smaller, they were hungry before dinner I would put out a plate of sliced vegetables, strawberries, apple, cucumber, whatever we had in the house with a little bit of ranch dip, and they would gobble all the vegetables down. I snacked on them as well while cooking dinner, we all ate less and we didn’t need anything sweet afterwards. I carry cheese sticks, beef, jerky, and things like mandarin oranges like that for in between meals this was a great program and you are helping so many people.

Absolument. My son didn't eat any refined carbs from age 0-6 his snacks were cheese, fruits, vegetables sticks, houmous , etc. We then moved back home overseas and my family would literally shower him with refined sugar. Like tons of it. He was told off for eating a piece of butter on its own. Or using olive oil. But was offered doughnuts and ice cream constantly, unfortunately my family has no clue about nutrition really, they think fat is the devil and sugar an angel. Luckily he mostly would politely refuse and ask for what he would call "a proper meal". He's now 22 and has a very healthy diet still. While I on the other end still struggle with sugar addiction at times. I think what we were fed in early years matters a lot when it comes to preferences later on in life but thankfully when we know better we can also act better.

I used to not be able to eat breakfast, because everytime I did eat anything my parents or friends wanted I was feeling like shit the whole day and had cravings and was eating a lot. I am just like you. Growing up I constantly have stomach pain around 10am to noon and my mother took me to all kind of doctors and had all kinds of test, yet they don’t know why. When I went to college, I accidentally slip into two meals a day, skipping breakfast, and the stomache that plagued me my whole life was gone. When I came back after college, I ate breakfast again because my parents said im ruining my health if I don’t, and the pains came back. It took me a while to connect its because of breakfast. So I stopped~ and it’s been over a decade and the pain has never came back. Until this day, I still don’t tell people I skipped breakfast because I always get this judgy look or a lecture that it’s the “most important meal of the day”, and I’m frankly too tired to explain myself.

Hello. I’m a 51 year old post menopausal woman and in the last 8 months I began gaining weight especially in my mid section. Ironically I went through premenopausal and menopause with little problem and some weight gain but adding intermittent fasting, going pescatarian, moderate exercise, and decreasing my sugar intake I managed to maintain a 103 pound weight for the last 4 years and I was no longer in the pre diabetic range.
In the last 8 months I began slowly gaining weight and it baffled me because I was not doing anything drastically different. My sugar cravings have began to get stronger and it was becoming difficult to fight them. I don’t weigh myself but use 3 clothing pieces to gauge my weight. One is a pair of shorts from high school that pair of shorts have become tight around my mid section and if I sat down I was afraid the zipper would give.
I came across your oat milk UA-cam short video and it caught my attention because I’ve switched to oat milk in the last 6 or 8 months. I subscribed to your channel and decided to try your hacks. After changing from oat milk to whole milk and doing the savory breakfast, vinegar drink, moving after a meal, and savory snack hack for ONLY 5 DAYS my high school shorts fit perfectly again the zipper is not straining to keep me in 😂
I am glad I came across your channel. I wanted and needed to loose weight but only in a natural healthy way. Your research and information is so helpful I am sharing your channel with everyone that is struggling with weight loss. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HAVE BEEN A BLESSING! I will do another post with my one month result.

In 2023 I spent just over three months changing my Brothers lifestyle in order to reverse his dietary sugar overload. He was being told that he would need to be put onto insulin injections. Together we reversed the sugar levels from over 20 down to between 4.5 and 7.5, and since then he has the odd spike over 10. I somehow found your UA-cam videos on glucose spikes and we have both included your hacks in our dietary lifestyles.
I have been carrying out controlled experiments on myself. I find after instigating your hacks over a period of four weeks, I have better mental health, I am losing fat, slimming down, not necessarily losing weight as muscle weighs more than fat.
    A huge thank you Jessie.

A pound of fat is equal to a pound of muscle. A pound is a pound. A pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat…that why you can’t look smaller but weigh the same as you replace fat with muscle

As someone who had a food disorder for years, I completely agree with everything you said, especially the fact that counting calories can make you anxious and hungrier for more food. Also, I know many people who are struggling with fasting to lose weight, and then after fasting, they eat bread, donuts, or processed foods. Calories don’t necessarily mean you’re eating healthy.

    FINALLY!! Someone who makes sense!
And without demonizing food. I'm so tired of "can't eat this or that" without being clear on what I CAN eat. Even weirder when certain foods and cleansing fasts start trending like clothes. We eat every day and nothing seems harder to change than dietary habits when it seems like I have to change everything I eat.
I finally understand why my cravings take over at times!!!!
I want to add something to this... whenever I would give into cravings, I would notice the fluids in my throat would get thicker.. It's like the mucus in my body is accumulated in response to the sugar. I heard somewhere that inflammation and most health problems is mucus (or mucus-like) building up in the body.

Hi, Jessie. Thank you for this amazing video. I've followed your hacks since last year because of my sugar addiction and mild depression. I like the idea of not caring too much about calories, which used to be the key for dieting, and of focusing on eating more fibers and protein first. Since I followed your hacks, I eat more but I lost weight nicely. Most importantly, my mood has improved tremendously. (Also, managed to get out of sugar addiction) Thank you so much, your hacks really changed my life.

So I've watched countless videos on how to get my period back for years and in the comments section kept seeing how it worked for everyone but of course didn't work for me.
Since using your hacks I am actually now the one commenting under a video to share how my stubborn ass period came back.
I used to have a different craving for every hour of the day, now when my friends want to go out I literally don't have any suggestions because I literally do not crave anything anymore.
I've also lost 10kg in the process.
I still eat sugars and carbs and whatever I want, I now do it because it's a choice I've made and scheduled rather than my hand being forced due to cravings or out of control hormones.
I would love to one day use anti spike and see how much more effective I can be but for now I am enjoying all the free priceless content, genuinely Thank you angel 😇❤

This is a great video with wonderful information. If we think about the hack (eat savory in the morning), it's actually NOT that hard to do if you consider there are many cultural cuisines where morning breakfast is savory. So, when I first heard this from you, it made perfect sense and is something we have been practicing! The only thing I have to do now is perhaps change some of the proportions so that protein is heavier followed by veggies. Also then change the order to eat the veggie first, followed by the protein, then end with carbs. This is so informative and makes so much sense! You are amazing!

As someone who was brought up in a desi household, I've seen my mum, grandmas, and their mums cooking savory breakfast for ages, which have kept everyone in the household energetic throughout the day. The internet told me about cereals, pancakes, and sweet juices as breakfast as I grew up, and us younger generations did divert to such recipes, leaving the traditional veggie full meals and savory cuisines But I've observed much better moods and my overall health and focus of mind when I'm sticking with my savory dishes and leaving my love for sugar as a sweet gift at the end of meals. This has benefited immensely.

Re:hack #1 - I learned many years ago that when a person eats, the food forms a bolus in the stomach, with the first food consumed at the center of the bolus and the last food eaten on the outside. The bolus is built up, layer by layer, as a person masticates and swallows their food.
This suggests the order you've presented as being the OPPOSITE of what a person would want to do!
IIRC, the bolus is treated by the stomach acid and liquefied before the sphincter at the bottom area of the stomach allows the partially digested slurry to proceed into the small intestine.
The "food" is not processed into the intestines directly as it is consumed in the mouth and passed along to the stomach: salad, meats/proteins, carbs.

This doesn't make sense to me- why would all the food you eat in chronological order layer itself from the inside out into a ball in your stomach. The gravity issue aside, that just doesn't make sense to me. It's not going to be neat and clean layers like a cake but forming a ball from the inside out doesn't make sense.

PS I add apple cider vinegar to my flavored bubbly water before a meal and it actually tastes really good.

Appreciate the video! I came across this today...I'm a late onset type (1) diabetic, diagnosed at 30. I'm now 48, and it's been a crazy somewhat miserable ride at times. This is one of the most informative videos I've seen and potentially very helpful. I should be able to apply alot of this to my everyday lifestyle! Thank you👍

There is a video of an Australian man who came off insulin by altering his diet. Crazy I know. My younger brother died from T1D symptoms many years ago.

@binathere2574 Interesting....sorry to hear about your brother.
I had a blood panel done about 10 years ago. And it concluded my pancreas doesn't produce any insulin. That would be awesome if it could be reversed. But I'm not sure how the pancreas could fix itself completely. Maybe with stem cell therapy? Or a transplant.

Thank you so much, Ms. Glucose Goddess Lady. You are completely correct. You present the various actions that one can utilize to increase your health, lower your non-health, & not change a whole bunch of what you do. Thank you. Richard 👍👍👍

    My breakfast:
    1) 4 Eggs/ smoked salmon (protein and biotin)
    2) Electrolyte water with lemon (to replenish lost electrolytes during sleep and Vit C)
    3) Kiwi/Apple (for Vit C, but I’ll probably push it to lunch or dinner so there’s no sweet whatsoever in breakfast)
    4) Almond milk for calcium
    5) 4 Brazil nuts for Selenium (don’t ever go beyond 4 of them, it can lead to Se toxicity)

Oh boy, Almond milk, kiwi. Are hghi in oxalates. I use to eat these also blk berries, sweet potato, kale & raw spinach etc. . I was a big gardener for over 30 years. I loved these foods until I started to become so inflamed that I could hardly walk. Be cautious with high oxalate health foods. It is important for people to do research on high oxalate foods. Sally K. Norton book. Toxic superfoods is a good start.😘

Since I'm on low carb, my breakfast is either eggs with cheese and/or sausage or kefir/Greek yogurt with some berries and pumpkin seeds & hemp hearts.

I first fell upon your UA-cam videos about 1 month ago and it was like I had found something I could make sense of and purchased your second book. I started the 4 weeks of hacks.
I noticed a definite increase in my energy level. I’ve always loved breakfasts but I adore my savoury breakfasts so much more. The vinegar hack - I used that to make myself a large salad with my homemade vinigriette. The veggie starter recipes introduced me to eggplants and artichokes!!! Who knew they could be so delicious. The movement after one of your meals for at least 10 minutes was handled easily with a walk which usually ended up being 30-25 minutes long.
Thank you for explaining the science behind why this is helpful to our bodies. You made it easy (other than adding vinegar to a glass of water)🤣
I found this easy to follow and I’m enjoying this new way of enjoying my food in such a healthy way.
One question: I use to make myself a porridge from steel cut oats/banana/egg whites/cinnamon & topped with either blueberries or fresh peach slices. I know the oats aren’t the best choice but is there some way with the colder months coming I can enjoy this porridge? Maybe add some cottage cheese into the mix?
    Merci!

I read your book & have started your hacks. I have a question. What do you think of resistance starch? Cooking & then freezing your starch etc. Does that lower glucose spike?

    • @KBinturong

Read about the concept of glycemic index. It will explain in more detail. Glycemic index is made to control glucose spike too. So yes a frozen food will have a lower glycemic index that the non frozen.
