Honestly, in massive overhaul mods like this that take dozens of hours to do anything, ignoring the problem and shoving a bunch of warehouses at the end of the belts and moving on to the next task will yield you more than enough resources by the time you actually need them than if you spent an hour tracking down the bottleneck and increase that trickle by 10%.
As someone who watches vids like this but doesn't actually play, thank you for the explanations on stuff like what Productivity is or the difference between solid and liquid trains. The into knowledge is much appreciated.
Putting prod modules into furnaces and planning to put them into mines while the labs are still empty is a special kind of torture. 😭 Jokes aside, did you know you can press F4 and enable the options to show playtime and fps/ups? The first if your clock ever doesn't work and the second when you're troubleshooting performance stuff in the future. Looking forward to the next vid!
Fuel our addiction of binging great content!!!!!!! Edit: Watching this series motivated me to start my own playthrough with the same mods. I realized only 6 hrs in that K2 wasn't enabled bc of brave new world and I have to remake the whole base.
Hey man not to get sappy or whatever but I've been going through a tough break up of a 6 year relationship and I've been feeling like garbage but I recently found ep 1 and binged them over the last few days and your videos have made me smile and escape even if for just 45 mins. I appreciate your work dude and I know you will go far with this channel.
I love how this factory feels like it's simultaneously a huge mess and well-designed. I laugh every time I see you copy-paste another one of your bizarre off-center train roundabouts, but I'm also just very impressed at how train-heavy everything is; it's a type of factory I've always aspired to but rarely manage to actually stick to. My favorite part of watching different people's factorio gameplay is seeing all the weird and different ways people design their factories. Sometimes you recoil in horror at their designs, and sometimes you wonder how you've been doing it so wrong all these years, and it's always a mix of both from the same person. I definitely need to try out double-headed trains, I'm not sure why I've always avoided them; I've done way harder things with signals, so I think I've just settled into a standard design that I stopped experimenting with.
To pick up the alien goop, try making a deconstruction planner for it. Bots should be able to harvest it without you having to hit your recording button.
I don't know if I missed it or if anyone else has told you yet, but either K2 or AAI adds vehicle inventories like power armor and Spidertrons have. Add a few roboport modules inside and you could have Harrier Jets specialized for combat, construction or just general purposes. This also applies to locomotives and wagons which make laying out rails a snap.
hello, i am german, i am very pünktlich and always on time, that is the one and only reason i like your clock and how you labled it big fan of those acronyms and again only because i like clocks, because i am so pünktlich.
series is great so far. super comfy. love the rs music too, wasn't paying attention to it too much and then heard the arabian remix, got taken back to being a little goober running between al kharid and the silver mine
Your narration and philosophical style of discussion is very much on the level of Ambitious Amphibian and other great factorio players, keep up the great work, i look forward to the next
6:20 Sort of false, that only applies to belts and inserters in the case of copper wire. As wire actually has twice the stack size of plates. So trains still carry the same amounts worth of wires in both cases, so you won't need more trains running around the rails. But it is still true that it's a bad idea to put such items on trains, as unloading with inserters and loaders will be slower. As they don't care about stack size. Say you need one blue belt worth of copper wires, and your stations can only unload at the speed of a red belt. If you shipped wires, then you'd need two stations to get enough throughput. But with plates you'd only need one. And as you said, the recipe is really simple, so it's just easier to make wires, tablets, gears and such on site instead.
I disagree. You can perfectly ratio a cargo wagon for wires and iron plates for green circuits. I'll have a 1:4 train pull up to an area and have inserting from cargo wagon to assembler. A single manufacturing hub can produce 9.6k chips per min. My four hubs gives me 1.2 million per hour for 500 science per min end results
Regarding 21:44, normal Stack inserters take 26 ticks per swing, they therefore move (60 / 26) * 12 = 27.69 items per second. So with two inserters per row you're moving 55,38 Items per second compared to 45 / s with blue belt loaders. However you need to make sure that during the swing the inserter stays the same length, because extension / retraction is much slower than rotation. Meaning that for a 2 tile gap the inserter should be 1 tile longer in both directions like a normal long inserter. Otherwise, like your current setup, the inserter is 1 tile long in one direction and 2 tiles long in the other direction like you can see at 21:03, and takes most of its time retracting and extending. But considering that all your factories produce nowhere near the 6 belt throughput your loading throughput is pretty much irrelevant anyway.
You're one of my favourite factorio youtubers, great production from video 1 onwards, like, I watched it, subbed, and while trying to find this video today and going to your channel, I noticed that I caught your first video lmao
Some times I set up my main belt to have a train track running down it because I like to do a Trolley system to help me get around my factory in a quick way.
love the video, amazing content but one suggestion that would make the video more fun and interactive would be adding coloured subtitles depending on whos talking great work!
Love the series. You should upload in 4k even if you’re recording in a lower resolution, since UA-cam will increase the bits/sec for the 4k version and we’ll get a cleaner view of the factory.
Electric trains are a godsend for big train bases just to avoid fuel. Also I am currently playing just SE and the space elevator is a godsend. I would have rushed it if I had known how OP it is for the space platform.
You know, you could replace the dots in the time display with text plates. Colons are in there, I believe, and even if not, you could put H, M and S in place of those dots (and after the seconds display).
Turn your coal into processed fuel. Its more power dense and efficient and makes the trains go faster. You will use it for a very long time in a SE run.
Making a cross of accumulators away from your substation and making 3x3 solar panels might get you closer to the ratio and fill up the space. Doesn't krastorio remove the infinite oil amount? So that would amount productivity modules and quantity on pump jacks.
Compression is a bit crusty. I'm sorry if you can't do anything about it due to hardware limitations, but I wanted you to know. I had to double check to make sure I was still watching in 1080p.
If you're referring to the bomb count down effect. It may be a stock sound you can rent. I've heard it used in cop drama shows and I know for a fact it's been used by South Park on the 'Snuke' episode
When you used Halo music for shooting biters, I thought UA-cam had switched what video I was watching. (I've recently been experiencing a bug where it /does/ randomly play a different video.. so.. yea..)
I like the series but if its the 3th video why it says Race Against Time and Space (Factorio Space Exploration + Krastorio 2) #2 instead of Race Against Time and Space (Factorio Space Exploration + Krastorio 2) #3
Bro literally out here making DoshDoshington/Doc Jade level content and doesn’t even have 5K subs??? Give this man the Medal of Honor.
right? his content so good
YEAH!
Too true
Fr fr.
Yea he really reminded me of Dosh
29:40
"The ratios are not correct, but like most of our problems I kick it down the road"
Subbed.

This series is like crack and feels good for such a small channel
As someone who watches vids like this but doesn't actually play, thank you for the explanations on stuff like what Productivity is or the difference between solid and liquid trains. The into knowledge is much appreciated.
You should play, it's a super fun game :)

LETS GOOO! Episode 2 again, but different ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!
Hey man not to get sappy or whatever but I've been going through a tough break up of a 6 year relationship and I've been feeling like garbage but I recently found ep 1 and binged them over the last few days and your videos have made me smile and escape even if for just 45 mins. Slow acceleration and they're longer.

How tf does this guy only have 4.4k subs???? This content is great! Man deserves so much more!

Im holding you to that 9 person death world run of Space Age
The intro never gets old, its so good!
hello, i am german, i am very pünktlich and always on time, that is the one and only reason i like your clock and how you labled it big fan of those acronyms and again only because i like clocks, because i am so pünktlich.
9:20 two belts on the outside for inputs and one belt in the middle for outputs
Inputs are obsolete, pure output is the future

The clock flickering from not enough power also means the combinators didn't fire every tick, and now your clock is getting more and more off

@@ThatOliveMrT That's a very different design than what the people in the video are using...

Loving the Factorio content, please keep on making them!
The creep collector has a shortcut you can pin to your toolbar. I also usually set my shortcut bar height to 4 whenever playing modded.
You're one of my favourite factorio youtubers, great production from video 1 onwards, like, I watched it, subbed, and while trying to find this video today and going to your channel, I noticed that I caught your first video lmao
Words cannot describe how much I adore this series' intro
Thanks for scratching my factorio itch
Really liked the introduction, it has a sense of urgency for something that may never happen haha.
Seconding "Bro literally out here making DoshDoshington/Doc Jade level content and doesn’t even have 5K subs??? Give this man the Medal of Honor."
Some times I set up my main belt to have a train track running down it because I like to do a Trolley system to help me get around my factory in a quick way.
Deathworld runs are always pretty intense :)
good progress!
i am now eager to see the kras expand into space…
Been looking forward to this. The speed you put these out is great
Loving the soundtrack
its the mandela effect
The three wagon trains hurt! Perhaps 4 wagon trains don't fit onto the roundabouts?
This is the weirdest cooking show ever. 7.9/10
Man this is a blast to watch and makes me want to strongarm someone to play Space Exploration with me.
Owh, btw, f and g keys are flips, ctrl-z also works....
Great Videos. Saw the first and now I'm excited everytime I see you posted a new one. Keep it up
Listen, *I* appreciate the angled walls.
7:45 you can deconstruct tool it and also the specific tool can be mouse selected from your shortcuts on the bottom right in center ui, the dotdotdots
love the video, amazing content but one suggestion that would make the video more fun and interactive would be adding coloured subtitles depending on whos talking
great work!
Love the series. You should upload in 4k even if you’re recording in a lower resolution, since UA-cam will increase the bits/sec for the 4k version and we’ll get a cleaner view of the factory.
ill be honest, love the series. Hope you have as much fun recording this as we have watching it
Great content, well done, well paced, well edited. Subbed
Holy fuck this guy pumps out content fast, LEGEND!
I aspire to be that friend that cooks
Electric trains are a godsend for big train bases just to avoid fuel. Also I am currently playing just SE and the space elevator is a godsend. I would have rushed it if I had known how OP it is for the space platform.
solar power is ratioed at 21 accumulators to 25 solar panels, so it might be more efficient to use a blueprint where both are included
That's for the base game
hell yeah, love these, appreciate u bossman
Bro this content is perfect, and not even at 5k yet he better hit the algorithm and soon
vanilla green circuit to copper wire ratio is 3:2, not 2:1, but that doesn't matter too much it would j make builds more compact
You know, you could replace the dots in the time display with text plates. Colons are in there, I believe, and even if not, you could put H, M and S in place of those dots (and after the seconds display).
you've got to try doing direct insertion on some of your designs
also you really don't need to make that many tablets right now
11:40 i have dent in my brain and heart :)
The ratio is actually 3 wire to 2 circuit assemblers in vanilla…
Turn your coal into processed fuel. Its more power dense and efficient and makes the trains go faster. You will use it for a very long time in a SE run.
the problem with logistic bots is that you can’t use trash slots as bonus inventory anymore XP
I sure hope this playthrough makes it past the Great Filter =)
I wish I can contribute my labor for your factory.
i can't wait for the next episode:)
Making a cross of accumulators away from your substation and making 3x3 solar panels might get you closer to the ratio and fill up the space.
Doesn't krastorio remove the infinite oil amount? So that would amount productivity modules and quantity on pump jacks.
yeah, lot of trains
I play the video at 0.75 speed so the talking is chill and comfy and I get more video as a bonus
Hey another episode so soon cool
Compression is a bit crusty. I'm sorry if you can't do anything about it due to hardware limitations, but I wanted you to know. I had to double check to make sure I was still watching in 1080p.
oh my god What kind of movie had a ticking electronic clock like from the beginning of this video?
If you're referring to the bomb count down effect. It may be a stock sound you can rent. I've heard it used in cop drama shows and I know for a fact it's been used by South Park on the 'Snuke' episode
Needs moar Sea Shanty 2!
9:10 not yet ur missing 1 behind 9:15 there ya go
love the content / humor
trying to use the ore to build the miners lol get some sleep
i just got caught up with your last video now i have so much stuff to do
like what the hell is a signifacant mulitary chip??
14:15 oh boy x}
Love your videos!
this is better than crack
Another banger
Will you aim for The Plague when you get to vitamelange tech or is that not in K2SE?
yay sauce uploaded
did you check to see if your timer was still accurate after the power outages? circuts can slow down or break if underpowered
you should try the robot army mod it would for well with the mod pack you are running.
i fucking love this
When you used Halo music for shooting biters, I thought UA-cam had switched what video I was watching.
(I've recently been experiencing a bug where it /does/ randomly play a different video.. so.. yea..)
You sound like the guy from family guy with red hair who was in love with Pam
Nice videos
damn ! UA-cam compression hitting hard !
YIPPEEEEEE
i love
dope
I like the series but if its the 3th video why it says Race Against Time and Space (Factorio Space Exploration + Krastorio 2) #2 instead of Race Against Time and Space (Factorio Space Exploration + Krastorio 2) #3
Nice
I think you meant episode #3 not #2
The game HAS a timer. Press i, upper right
This mod and krastorio have many biter related mechanics. Lame excuse for having weak biters :p
Main bus?
Nicccceee
train blueprints?
TITLE STUCK PLEASE
🙂
Hey the title is wrong
Please sir, can i have another.
