Hey all - quick lil PSA - read on for ya boi: I know it's been a bit more re-release than new content lately (and it will probably as I compile all the old stuff into formats that the modern UA-cam seems to like better, though I've been taking some time to re-format the series workflow so that I can create content in a format that the modern UA-cam recommends while still providing similar experiences to the old Rimworld serialized videos so many of you have come out and say you really enjoyed on the channel. Making those series is a LOT of fun and honestly my favorite thing about storytelling, but in time investment, requires me to sit with the game for about 40 hours of gameplay, though, so yeah just wanted to give you a heads up why it's taking so long to create new series. It's a balancing act. I've experimented with a bunch of new formats this year, but I think I'm finally arriving what will be fun for both me and most people watching. Just wanted to say that - yeah so if you read this, I sincerely thank you. Just wanted to say that - if you give this video a LIKE and a COMMENT on what you want to see or most enjoy. I've done a lot of different content formats in the past and loved them for different reasons, but I'm curious what speaks the most, that'd really help out if you enjoy them. It all helps let the algorithm know what people want to see. Hope you enjoy for old time's sake :)

My greatest play through was this exact start. Beginning with John. Sent him out knowing we had resurrector mech serum. Got his head completely erased by an elephants foot. RIP John. The greatest there ever was
Torsolo was 10/10 content. I watched the entire VOD and enjoyed every minute of it. Second best series was the Rimworld Naked Ice Sheet run. Thanks for the entertainment Mr AA!
While I do enjoy the one-off challenge videos, my favorite AA content has definitely been the longer-form, *less edited*/scripted series like the Sea Ice tribal Rimworld start. It's honestly a ton of fun to watch the emergent storytelling of a game like Rimworld or Kenshi flourish, and even slightly more scripted series like the Torsquad benefit from the natural chaos these games can create. Although to be frank, the true selling point of this channel has always been AA's soothing, pseudo-philosophical commentary and humor. Truly, a voice most mellifluous among men (and amphibians)!
It was actually this series that not only introduced me to your channel but to Rimworld itself. Thank you, AA. You're responsible for thousands of hours being sunk into this game.
I think about and quote the intro to the “extreme desert” all the time, recently started theorycrafting a desert colony of my own and it’s on a loop in my head
The crab names evolving from crab based characters/puns to Will Smith movies/shows feels like watching the maturing process of a person. I will admit that The Fresh Pinch is the most based of them all.
I always found that the hospitality mods (Spa, Restaurant, Shop) would make great run, maybe only allow money from visitors, no trading? I once had a rimworldofmagic Lich open an inn staffed by zombies in the arctic, ended up suprisingly wholeseome!
"How do you fail at making a campfire?" This would appear to be a statement by someone who is very used to the existence of lighters, matches or at least a flint and steel. Your dude is on an island with nothing, fire is a damn miracle. Think Tom Hanks in Castaway
I understand that for the people that have already watched this series, it may be frustrating to see these reuploads, but as someone who hasnt watched them I've really enjoyed it!
Suppose it's an outdated thing to point out by now, but the reason I believe for the small raids is that the different Z levels are considered different maps, so it would only send raids of the size of whoever was on the main Z-level and ignore the rest. Excellent video! And as for what I most enjoy, these compilation videos are my favorite so far, lets me just pause/play it whenever I have some time to AA & chill.
I love your sims 1 content or really your sims 2 to the sims 1 content because it gives me nostalgia and your words are nice and calming along with your project zombies gameplay
Torsolo's journey is what singlehandedly sold Kenshi to me (or rather convinced me to play it, as the game was bought for years, unplayed). I also quite liked Trapped Underground Rimworld video. It's not a series, but out of all videos you've made on the game that one was the most memorable to me.
"All passion, no skills" is the kind of description that, in the real world, only applies to 2 specific kinds of people; toddlers, and art history majors. 🤣🤣🤣
I've found through Rimworld so it's nice to see a video about it again! It's also cool to see someone play the game right, since I absolutely suck at it lol
I recognize that the 'all together' format is better for YT, but I certainly wouldn't mind a slower drip feed of 20-30 minute videos as time progresses over a masterpiece 3 hour video every three months that I will watch over several sittings. This is because videos being separated give natural stopping points to pause and come back later. My favorite format was the Factorio '100 days' a video deathworld challenge. While I prefer other story driven games like your Kenshi, Project Zomboid, and especially Rimworld content the most (and know I would enjoy the other 'rimworld like' games that are coming out), the 'three meaty chunks' format felt like a good compromise as a viewer. Substantial progress was made each video, with the mundane parts sped up. I do find your storytelling to be excellent, with my favorite series of yours put out being the rimworld sea ice accompanied by smooth jazz. Taking what can be considered the most boring challenge and making it deeply entertaining and exciting. Thus I do have slight worry for what may be left on the cutting room floor making the overall experience more shallow. My least favorite videos were the 10-ish minute challenge videos. They were still good, but did not foster the same level of attachment to that of your other series I fell in love with. I would love for an episode 2 for certain episodes like "The Movies" to see the progression/ narrative of becoming that top tier film studio. Or more detail/ gameplay of the 'across the obelisk' game that didn't require vod watching. Overall, great content and look forward to seeing what comes out in the future.
The burning passion for all skills is probably more realistic than one would think. In that situation I'd be highly motivated to elarn as fast as possible too.
Oh my god. When did you hit 1 million subscribers. Almost 1.5 million. Holy shite. Oh my god, how many years have I been subbed to you? Well there ain't no reason why they all shouldn't be subscribed, but damn what took them so long?

And as fun as Torsolo was, I do think part of the charm is the uniqueness. I wouldn't want all or even a majority of your content to be like that, as fun as it was. This is fun, and a way to repackage old content that modern UA-cam will like better. I'll confess to preferring the old method, but fully understand that ya need to work with the bs of the modern algorithm if you want to be a success. You're a fun storyteller though, so I'm happy to sit down for longer content.
