Really love the concept of the Sim Settlements mod. The intense micromanagement that the base game all but forces you to do is enough to make me not want to play the game at all, but that mod makes the game as a whole much more enjoyable to romp around in.
Yeah Full Dialogue Interface really deserves a spot here. The vanilla wheel in a nutshell is basically: Me: **clicks sarcastic** NPC: You ruined my life! How could you ?! You killed my wife and kids and stole my life savings! You monster!!!
I couldn't use the mod unfortunately. Had a problem with SKSE not launching, went through every single mod and finally uncovered that full dialogue interface was the culprit. Removed it and now I can actually play the game.

Btw, a super underrated mod is Extended Dialogue Interface, it does everything that Full Dialogue Interface does and more, works with all DLC and Mods and is regularly updated by the creator.

A mod which can bring fallout 76 enemies, weapons and locations or combine the map of Fallout 76 with fallout 4 will be awesome. Basically a mod which can merge the best features of Fallout 76 with Fallout 4.
I know it’s cheating but I use that mod to deal with some stuff that really annoys me like having to replace fusion cores on power armor. I also use it to change appearance a lot
Cheat Terminal is probably the sole mod that has _never_ left my load order. And I'm a PC user. It's just so simplistic and convenient, especially when testing out a new load order or getting stuck in a quest
Love Armorsmith Extended, with that and the craftable legendarys mod my current character has all his worn items having a Sharp legendary, each one giving +1 to Charisma. So, he wears the Silver Shroud suit, which already had a legendary, now it has 2, both add to Charisma. Then his helmet has Sharp, his shades, his wedding ring, his backpack, all 5 armor pieces.
Just started playing this game. Got 50 mods installed, played a good 4 hours and everything’s stable! Loving it so far, don’t know why I avoided this series for so long.
@@justthatoneguy64 I would hope not. Consoles are garbage for modding and very unstable. Anything more than a couple mods will cause the game to crash.
@@energy8025 I have to disagree, my xbox one x runs fine with around 50 mods. Even with graphics mods the game looks great and runs around what it does in vanilla, does have fps drops in some areas tho. But on ps4 yeah, its pretty garbage. Ps4 has problems with crashing anyways.
Cheat terminal was actually a super useful mod for settlement management in some cases as well as testing and even troubleshooting broken mods in some cases
Armorsmith extended and Sim Settlements have become permanent additions to any playthrough since I first tried them. Can't play without scrap dead things active as well.
I came in watching this expecting just the top mods and its information, but I was pleasantly surprised by the technical details and efforts you obviously put into it. Great job
also the main reason awkcr or however it's spelled became so wide spread was due to a bug/ limitation in the engine with keywords. if that number climbed above a certain amount the game would just crash. that mod fixed it and so any mod that added in new weapons, armor, basically anything craftable or upgradable needed it so things would run smoothly. as far as i'm aware bethesda either fixed it due too creation club needing more than what was available or just fixed it in general(i assume it was for creation club.).
Cheat terminal is one of the coolest mods in existence. I turned my fallout into a zombie survival. And the unlimited ammo/no true ammo consumption that makes you use ammo but gives it back to you makes it a lot more enjoyable due being able to just kill zombies and explore.
@@MiaogisTeas I have, and I agree! There are also ones made of silicone, but with an articulated skeleton, so they're seamless. But I can't find anything about them ATM. There's also something like that, but life-size, and I think those are very cool, indeed 😈.
3:06 this also has to do with extended dialogue interface being released. unlike this version which modifies the quests and only works for vanilla and dlc, changing the interface files and thus introduces incompatibility, extended version is a dll mod, so it does all full dialogue interface does and then more minus the incompatibility, like allowing more and less than 4 options at once, not to mention it working out of the box for every new mod.

Guys we need a mod where a legendary mythic death claw is eating at Power noodles. It doesn’t say or do anything but eat noodles. You should go up to a guard and he should say “we don’t know where the death claw came from. We all woke up to see it eating at power noodles. We would try to tell it leave but we’re to afraid it would break us like a twig”. The death claw wouldn’t leave until the player has left diamond city and went far away. Also if you go up to it and talk it will stop eating noodles and attack you. This encounter would happen randomly
One of my favourite mods: Amazing Follower Tweaks It gives additional control of companions along with their settings, And more notably you can change their body/face
Recently I have modern firearms and the whispering Hills mod. It feels like a fan made game in everyway, but absolutely digging the overall vibes. A horror fps with lots of bugs lol
With Cheat Terminal, I use it basically so I don't have to worry about ammo and caps, when I just wanna do some quests, shoot some raiders, and chill without having to worry about my, or my companion's logistics. If you wanna simplify that process (Or just get really OP really fast), I gotta recommend it
a couple of things i'd like to point out: Sim Settlements breaks the game's precombines, which will destroy any stability you may have achieved with mods such as the unofficial patch and will certainly cause ctd's. secondly, mods such as AWKCR and Armorsmith Extended getting larger over the course of time through updates is only an issue for console users as they are unfortunately limited to how much space their mods can take up.
AWKCR and AE arent being downloaded less and less because of their size. Its more so the fact that overtime people have realized that the author has filled both of these mods with a bunch of features that have nothing to do with the initial purpose. Alot of people are coming back to FO4 and redownloading these, and then asking, "what mod is adding in these stencils?!"
I adored messing with cheat room when I was younger. Console mods were my first experiences with such amazing tools. I hope I’m not the only one who had experiences like that
I once used the cheat room gun to spawn liberty prime, made him a follower and then shrunk it down enough to be the size of a player Also full sized liberty prime can just about fit into the museum of freedom but it's amusing to see the raiders getting obliterated

Far Away Area Reform, F4SE, learning to tweak ini files (think I actually remember seeing a ini file line about render distance), any mod that helps with the game running smoothly will allow you to set a larger render distance.
Sim settlements is cool, but for me, building a town or settlement in a specific way was always one of the strengths of Fallout 4. SS takes that away, yeah you can build a cool settlement with it but usually its pretty samey and no one really uses the buildings. Meanwhile my Sanctuary has a wall around it, a shanty town outside, inside it is slowly being rebuilt as a governmental center, I can go into one room and see 4 people working etc.
Full Dialogue Interface or Extended Dialogue Interface (my personal pick) makes a tremendous difference, it doesn't change the fact that most dialogue options lead to the same result, but it's convincing enough to make you think before you say something.
@@rezonan3520 No. They do recommend you have a premium account in Nexus, Loverslab and whatever so it can automatically download for you, which makes it much, much easier. Not out of deliberate maliciousness, but simply how the mod sites work.
Honestly, if I remember right that's more because of the negative reception and feedback the Wabbajack team received from a lot of high-profile mod authors and the Nexus' pushback to increasing their bandwidth usage.

I'm replying to old comments here, but that is incorrect. They are two different mods. Settlement Objects Unlocked just removes the requirements (discovery of magazines, etc.) to unlock generic vanilla assets. Unlocked Settlement Objects adds non-generic settlement build assets to the menu. Big difference.
The one good thing about the dialog options in fallout 4 is the sarcastic option. Its honestly better not knowing what you're going to say so that its funnier.
I wish I could get achievements with mods. Yes I use cheat terminal, but that’s because I want infinite AP or ammo, I don’t add perks, or weapons. I use modded weapons (realistic ones) and I still die a lot, it’s still fun and challenging. I just use visual mods and weapon mods.
You should check out a mod I created which adds Caillou to fallout 4 along with a quest line in which you help steal candy from his Grandma. It also includes a prewar boston It's called "Supermarket Overhaul Featuring PreWar Boston"

I’d say Vivid Storms is visual more appealing but True Storm has incredible audio effects. Both great mods.

Sim settlements is cool, but for me, building a town or settlement in a specific way was always one of the strengths of Fallout 4. SS takes that away, yeah you can build a cool settlement with it but usually its pretty samey and no one really uses the buildings. Meanwhile my Sanctuary has a wall around it, a shanty town outside, inside it is slowly being rebuilt as a governmental center, I can go into one room and see 4 people working etc.
So if I understood well, Sim Settlement mod makes the npc settlers build by themselves, right ?
Its a mod that makes fallout 4 more like a fallout game than a sim settlement game, at least from me this is what made me come back to fallout 4

Full Dialogue Interface or Extended Dialogue Interface (my personal pick) makes a tremendous difference, it doesn't change the fact that most dialogue options lead to the same result, but it's convincing enough to make you think before you say something.
Cheat Terminal was my first mod and I'll never play without it again. It's too good

@@rezonan3520 No. They do recommend you have a premium account in Nexus, Loverslab and whatever so it can automatically download for you, which makes it much, much easier. Not out of deliberate maliciousness, but simply how the mod sites work.
Honestly, if I remember right that's more because of the negative reception and feedback the Wabbajack team received from a lot of high-profile mod authors and the Nexus' pushback to increasing their bandwidth usage.

Unlocked Settlement Objects on Nexus is called "Settlement Objects Unlocked". I hope this helps someone.
I'm replying to old comments here, but that is incorrect. They are two different mods. Settlement Objects Unlocked just removes the requirements (discovery of magazines, etc.) to unlock generic vanilla assets. Unlocked Settlement Objects adds non-generic settlement build assets to the menu. Big difference.
I must be one of the 1 mil on PC that used Cheat Terminal. It's a convenient to get mats for settlements in large quantities.

The one good thing about the dialog options in fallout 4 is the sarcastic option. Its honestly better not knowing what you're going to say so that its funnier.
I wish I could get achievements with mods. Yes I use cheat terminal, but that’s because I want infinite AP or ammo, I don’t add perks, or weapons. I use modded weapons (realistic ones) and I still die a lot, it’s still fun and challenging. I just use visual mods and weapon mods.
You should check out a mod I created which adds Caillou to fallout 4 along with a quest line in which you help steal candy from his Grandma. It also includes a prewar boston It's called "Supermarket Overhaul Featuring PreWar Boston"
