@@404humanerror2 I actually bought the game on ps4 when it released and returned it a week later. Wasn't until mid 2018 I re bought it on steam and have WAY more fun with the modded version.
@digifalc0087 armorsmith extended, lets you wear armor over clothing, mercenary pack which is a lot of awesome armors. If you can figure out how to install it, weaponsmith extended as well, it adds about 50 or more weapons. I have 250 mods going atm so there are a lot. But if you're not used to modding i'd check out biraitbec's mod list and follow it or start small with a few mods.
Been playing since mid 2019 and my favorite mod would have to be America Rising. Loved the Enclave-centric storyline. Loved to see the other side of things, and to step into what's usually the enemy's shoes.

See Through Scopes was huge for me too. I stopped using any scopes that caused that stupid effect until I found this one. It was so nice to get my long range abilities back.

Unbogus Health Scaling: removes HP gain from leveling up for the player and enemies (no more damage sponges) Be Exceptional: brings back the skill point leveling system from Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Agreed - AWKCR and AE are essential IMO. I'm split on Weaponsmith Extended - it's great for adding a ton of weapons to the game with one ESP (once you figure out the install process), but at least half of them are crappy.
@@adamhart1419 With weapon mods, most of the best weapon mods are singular weapons in my opinion. However, modern firearms is an outstanding weapon pack if you have the space for it. If you are on console, you can find a light version on bethesda.net. The pc version is not on the nexus but you can find it here modern-firearms-fo4.info/ The weapons have custom animations, new ammo types, under barrel grenade launchers, and deal tons of damage. Because enemies can use these weapons as well, it really increases the tension of combat. They are also planning some cool updates in the future. You can also find patches and a configurable holo tape option to lower or raise the damage of the weapons if you feel it makes the game too challenging or too easy
Every episode starts with Juice mentioning that he has something special or that today is special. Its like having an optimistic boyfriend that doesn't 100% know what you even like.
"Modern firearms tactical edition" is by far my favorite. The high damage feels much more real than the vanila weapons and because of that, especialy gunners and supermutants become much more dangerous.
I never felt the way i did when i entered institute in any other game ever. 4 was my first Fallout Game i have ever played i wish i could play it again for the first time
@@kamekazi1123 both are too old for new players to enjoy. Without nostalgia they are extremely dated, janky, ugly and generally unfun. Absolutely amazing for their time but unless you have a thing for classic games or nostalgia for them theres few new players that will spend more than 15minutes before uninstalling.
A favorite of mine that is purely cosmetic in Badass Vault Dweller Longcoats. Just having that look of wearing a long trenchcoat over the vault suit. Combine that with one of the many invisible armor mods and just looks sweet.

Pack Attack certainly makes Raider fights a heck of a lot more interesting! Try running through Corvega and see how different it is to a Vanilla playthrough! I'm just sad that Pack Attack doesn't work well with Sim Settlements. I tried combining the two and it crashes every hour or so.
Please keep up the FO4 mod news I just started playing again (dropped FO76 for now) and the sheer number of mods is overwhelming. I forgot how much fun it was to play with mods.
The mods that are always in my mod list are the Sim Settlements/Conqueror mods, America Rising (Enclave added to the Common Wealth as a joinable faction), and then the Project Valkyrie/Outcasts & Remnants/Depravity/And So on series of mods. Start Me Up every now and then but not a major part. The rest of my installed mods tend to be settlement stuff or new, lore-friendly, armors and weapons.
I keep playing since until now, started on PS4 and kept playing with CC content. And just recently bought me an XboneX and I’m playing it with mods. Love so much the game that I have F76 and love it too 👍🏻 fallout player forever

I usually go straight to the subway and head to Diamond City first, then much later back to Concord. my problem with see through scopes that it zooms in the whole field of view instead of just the scope, so it defeats the purpouse of having a spotter which I found being a really cool addition in Vanilla Fallout 4. (If you don't know how to get a spotter, just have companion with a recon scope mounted on his weapon and he will tag enemies for you it also works the other way, you can be the spotter for a sniper companion which is even more fun because you can tag enemies and then literally tell them to take the shot and since companions in f4 are pretty unresponsive you can press E 3 times and the character will say "Fire...Fire...Fire" BAM just like in real life)
It is but for some of the see through scopes scopes it didn't pop up so the the toggle adds the function to alot of the options. Especially if you use the replacer edition
There is a mod that would go good with the first one you have listed. It's simply called stalker. Just adds enemies (humans, animals, ghouls, etc.) that stalk you for a while before attacking. It happens randomly anywhere in the main world space and it can put a lot of tenseness into the game

Don't feel embarrassed, some of us gamers have grown to enjoy collecting game titles to the the point where we spend more time "hunting" (searching / shopping) for games we don't yet have vs. playing the games we already have ...because we love the process of acquiring games (& the thought of owning *more* games) as much as the act of playing those games. Dude I saw you talking about Panpc in a couple of different videos making me want to try it but initially had a lot of problems with it but now that it is it's a real game changer - next level.
Survival options is a must have for any survival playthrough. On one playthrough with the Brotherhood of Steel, Liberty Prime got stuck on a bridge and refused to budge. I ran off, went into a different cell, and came back and he was still stuck. Because of survival options, I was able to turn on fast travel, go to CIT ruins, and meet Liberty Prime there. I've encountered way too many game breaking moments in quests and the like to not be able to use it. Also, Sim Settlements, in all its renditions, is an unbelievable feat of modding and if I had to choose only one mod to play with it, I would choose any of the Sim Settlements, hands down.
Eh he has to continuously make new videos and make them interesting/marketable. Plus he can't do it forever, so if he isn't developing skills or getting a degree, he might be fucked later in life
I just came back to it for the 100th time last week and and I always try to make it as difficult as possible, so deadly commonwealth and remove hit markers are a must for me, I usually go to a gun mod and skibadda weapons overhaul to mix up vanilla weapons. I play on xbox so it's limited in some sort but still has a ton that are being added and supported all these years later. It's amazing how long this game has been around in this day and age of gaming

The Liberty Reborn Minutemen mod makes the minutemen dress up in combat armor with a blue paint scheme and it allows you to hire guards for your settlements, which some of them add happiness. It's great, giving you the ability to have a powerful armored faction without siding with the technonazis.
I use advanced needs 2. Works a lot like survival options but has additional functionality. Wanna have the ability to bend down and take a dump in the middle of Preston's house? Now you can (if you want).
Trying to get back into it after a skyrim modding binge, need something to scratch my open world FPS itch since Cyberpunk's continued delays and this helped.
I've always been a PlayStation gamer my whole life, but recently built my own gaming PC and got Fallout 4 from steam since I loved it so much there. Also just started getting into modding games too, since the PS4 doesn't allow it and even though FO4 allowed it there, I never tried it there. I'm using Nexus and Vortex and this video definitely helped with picking some good mods, but sadly the link in the description for Pack Attack NPC Edition didn't work and I can't seem to find it anywhere on Nexus... so that sucks. But great video nonetheless, loved it, super helpful!

I've never heard of survival options! This could be so helpful. I hate how you cannot save, and you could have good wepons and armor and get killed pretty easy. Anyways thank you!

@@Chunga5836 It's a collection of a few different mods by fadingsignal. I have it on Xbox. You get the Beretta M9-FS, MRE's (great for survival), remote explosives with detonators, Warby Parker Griffin eyewear, brahmin feeding trough for the workshop (no more lousy bathtub), and West Tek Tactical Optics (Incredible mod). I think that's everything, and it's only around 30MB, clutch. Maybe try searching for one of those mods individually? The M9-FS, glasses, explosive, tac optics and MRE's are all LL integrated, too. Also, you can use weapon replacers for the Beretta with the mergepack version. There's an M9 Samurai weapon skin mod that can be used with it, too, it's badass.
@@Chunga5836 You know what buddy, I just checked the mods on Xbox and it doesn't look like the merge pack is available fir download anymore 😕 I only still have it because I downloaded it before it was taken off. Looks like all the individual mods are still available, but at the cost of much more space. They are still top notch mods, though.
NPC's Travel is probably my favorite mod. There are TONS of others that are amazing I wouldn't play without, but nothing else makes the game feel more alive than this. You can control 100% of the mods options and really tailor the game to your playthrough. My personal favorite is to up to ghoul spawns and use TWD and turn it into a zombie fallout. Because ya know, that makes sense!
Top 5 mods for me... PC 1. Spring Cleaning + Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch... Scrap most stuff in settlements. Just be careful not to scrap the floors in Sanctuary, if you have the option selected in the Fomod installer. 2. Place Everywhere... Settlement building became easy. 3. Transfer Settlements... Make a perfect settlement, you can then save it as a Blueprint, as well as load pre-made settlement design Blueprints, from other people. 4. Outfit Switcher... Make outfits for Combat, Trading, Building, Radiation, etc... and swap with a Hotkey button press. 5. Rename Anything... The Vanilla game, has a lot of limitations for weapon, and armour renaming. This fixes it... I like to add prefixes to weapons and armour, but the vanilla game wont always let me. Eg... Weapons... *10.PISTOL.SILENCER.10mm Pistol *308.SNIPER.SILENCER.Hunting Rifle *SHELL.CLOSE.Shotgun *45.COMBAT.SILENCER.Combat Rifle Clothes and Armour... *CARRY.Backpack *CARRY.Grognak Outfit *TRADE.Agatha's Dress *RADIATION.Radiation Suit *FIGHT.Spike Armor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Some need F4SE, the Fallout 4 Script Extended. The Creation Club updates, unfortunately... break these mods every month. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Other mods that are essential, for every play-through... @@siegfried2k4 I've never had any problems with Spring Cleaning, except a couple of things that can't be scrapped. Such as the Elm Sapling, but I just use the modpos z -200 command on them. I have to use the Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch, along with it. As one of the Bethesda updates, broke the mod without it. I've been using Spring Cleaning since it was released, with zero problems. Except the Bethesda Update one, that I mentioned. Which got fixed with the Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch. . . Scrap Everything... I can't remember why I don't use it, I checked the Nexus, and have endorsed it. Looks like they were both released at almost the same time, December 2015. I've been using it for 5 years... I checked Scrap Everything, and it has less bugs in the bugs list, only 21, as opposed to 113 for Spring Cleaning, along with a more recent update... July 2019, as opposed to Spring Cleaning's last update in July 2016. ========================================= I use Spring Cleaning, and Place Everywhere, along with the Blueprints... Transfer Settlements mod. To build, and save almost all the settlements in the game. They're in my published save game starts I have. I'll have to test Scrap Everything again, to see if it has any features that Spring Cleaning doesn't. =========================================
Pack attack does have some issues, it is very demanding on the game script engine so it has a tenancy to cause CTDs when you have large numbers of NPC's interacting at once. Usually when you have 15 or more in an area you see games become unstable.
Right handed hunting/lever action/handmade rifle animations are pretty much mandatory for me, they just look so much better than those of the base game. Militarized Minutemen is another great one and the numerous customization options put it up there with some of the highest quality outfit mods in Fallout 4. America Rising because I feel this would have been the perfect game for the Enclave to make an appearance, considering our character’s background.
Is there a mod that makes 3rd person use the ADS from 1st person? I love seeing the character model but hate that I have to settle for watered down aim when I ADS
I loved the mod called junkmaster. It was basically wasteland imports but WAY bigger. It added loooads of power armor, weapons, ammo, armor, junk. It added things from fallout 3 to 76 like classic enclave pa, ultracite, secret service, WAY before the stand alones. They added more paints overall like hazard paints adding poison resistance. Super stims, fixer, 9mm 12.7mm, Chinese assault rifle, 45 pistol, plasma caster, gause minigun and shotgun. Merc armor raider armor, bennys suit. It was ANAZING it was a must have and only 600 mb but when I looked last it was gone and I can't find it. It was made by kufuman I think. Now I'm sad

The problem with See Through Scopes is the entire field of view zooms not just the area covered by the scope. It's very distracting to me and it's the reason that Bethesda uses the black overlay to block your view of that nonsense. I just use a simple setting in the game that makes the transition when aiming through a scope happen instantly. setgs fScopeEnteringFadeOutSec 0.000001
I love vogue, its the only ENB I have really like in Fallout 4. I never disliked the lighting Fallout 4 had, it just felt lacking but the overal look and feel felt great and vogue just builts on that very nicely. It feels like Vogue ENB is how Fallout 4 was meant to look. Currently re downloading Fallout 4 and getting a feel of the modding scene currently by watcing a tone of your fallout 4 videos you made over the last few months. I wonder how Vogue looks with NACX Legacy Edition.
I dont see how anyone can play a modded survival run (at least on xbox) without survival options. Gotta be able to quick save or the frequent freeze n crash would be torment
Nice video Juicehead. I also love these mods though the weapon holster mod is new to me. I'd love to get more details on your preferred configuration of Survival Options? I have it installed but only for the quick save and food alterations. Currently I'm using Better Locational Damage to rebalance difficulty but it would be interesting if I could cut that mod out for my next play through (even if that's in a few years😅). I like to run as few script heavy mods as possible.
Juice, you can hold your breath when looking through vanilla scopes. That's a vanilla feature.

The weapons have custom animations, new ammo types, under barrel grenade launchers, and deal tons of damage. Because enemies can use these weapons as well, it really increases the tension of combat. They are also planning some cool updates in the future. You can also find patches and a configurable holo tape option to lower or raise the damage of the weapons if you feel it makes the game too challenging or too easy
Every episode starts with Juice mentioning that he has something special or that today is special. Its like having an optimistic boyfriend that doesn't 100% know what you even like.
"Modern firearms tactical edition" is by far my favorite. The high damage feels much more real than the vanila weapons and because of that, especialy gunners and supermutants become much more dangerous.
Fallout 4 is me and my brother’s favorite game, I have such great memories of playing it with him.
One of my favorites is "The Code" by Eijiro Tono. Quest mods don't get enough respect.

Absolutely amazing for their time but unless you have a thing for classic games or nostalgia for them theres few new players that will spend more than 15minutes before uninstalling.
A favorite of mine that is purely cosmetic in Badass Vault Dweller Longcoats. Just having that look of wearing a long trenchcoat over the vault suit. Combine that with one of the many invisible armor mods and just looks sweet.

Pack Attack certainly makes Raider fights a heck of a lot more interesting! Try running through Corvega and see how different it is to a Vanilla playthrough! I'm just sad that Pack Attack doesn't work well with Sim Settlements. I tried combining the two and it crashes every hour or so.
Please keep up the FO4 mod news I just started playing again (dropped FO76 for now) and the sheer number of mods is overwhelming. I forgot how much fun it was to play with mods.
The mods that are always in my mod list are the Sim Settlements/Conqueror mods, America Rising (Enclave added to the Common Wealth as a joinable faction), and then the Project Valkyrie/Outcasts & Remnants/Depravity/And So on series of mods. Start Me Up every now and then but not a major part. The rest of my installed mods tend to be settlement stuff or new, lore-friendly, armors and weapons.
I keep playing since until now, started on PS4 and kept playing with CC content. And just recently bought me an XboneX and I’m playing it with mods. Love so much the game that I have F76 and love it too 👍🏻 fallout player forever

i remember stumbling onto a juicehead video on the fossils and archeology mod because i was a kid and i couldnt get enough of that... it seems so long ago but eventually i moved on and roughly 2 years ago i suddenly saw a fallout video on some cool mods by a familiar name, i was astonished to see you show back up in my youtube feed and honestly im so glad, you are my ray of light in the negative youtube that i end up seeing. you always look on the bright side and im just super glad that you bloomed into a successful channel.

my problem with see through scopes that it zooms in the whole field of view instead of just the scope, so it defeats the purpouse of having a spotter which I found being a really cool addition in Vanilla Fallout 4. (If you don't know how to get a spotter, just have companion with a recon scope mounted on his weapon and he will tag enemies for you it also works the other way, you can be the spotter for a sniper companion which is even more fun because you can tag enemies and then literally tell them to take the shot and since companions in f4 are pretty unresponsive you can press E 3 times and the character will say "Fire...Fire...Fire" BAM just like in real life)

There is a mod that would go good with the first one you have listed. It's simply called stalker. Just adds enemies (humans, animals, ghouls, etc.) that stalk you for a while before attacking. It happens randomly anywhere in the main world space and it can put a lot of tenseness into the game

The first mod I thought about was pack attack. I just downloaded this month and wow!
Dude I saw you talking about Panpc in a couple of different videos making me want to try it but initially had a lot of problems with it but now that it is it's a real game changer - next level.
Survival options is a must have for any survival playthrough. On one playthrough with the Brotherhood of Steel, Liberty Prime got stuck on a bridge and refused to budge. I ran off, went into a different cell, and came back and he was still stuck. Because of survival options, I was able to turn on fast travel, go to CIT ruins, and meet Liberty Prime there. I've encountered way too many game breaking moments in quests and the like to not be able to use it. Also, Sim Settlements, in all its renditions, is an unbelievable feat of modding and if I had to choose only one mod to play with it, I would choose any of the Sim Settlements, hands down.

I just came back to it for the 100th time last week and and I always try to make it as difficult as possible, so deadly commonwealth and remove hit markers are a must for me, I usually go to a gun mod and skibadda weapons overhaul to mix up vanilla weapons. I play on xbox so it's limited in some sort but still has a ton that are being added and supported all these years later. It's amazing how long this game has been around in this day and age of gaming

Great video! Something that stuck out, however: you said "weary" but you clearly meant "wary" in context. Just a heads up.
The Liberty Reborn Minutemen mod makes the minutemen dress up in combat armor with a blue paint scheme and it allows you to hire guards for your settlements, which some of them add happiness. It's great, giving you the ability to have a powerful armored faction without siding with the technonazis.

Trying to get back into it after a skyrim modding binge, need something to scratch my open world FPS itch since Cyberpunk's continued delays and this helped.
I've always been a PlayStation gamer my whole life, but recently built my own gaming PC and got Fallout 4 from steam since I loved it so much there. Also just started getting into modding games too, since the PS4 doesn't allow it and even though FO4 allowed it there, I never tried it there. I'm using Nexus and Vortex and this video definitely helped with picking some good mods, but sadly the link in the description for Pack Attack NPC Edition didn't work and I can't seem to find it anywhere on Nexus... so that sucks. But great video nonetheless, loved it, super helpful!
A few modders removed their mods from Nexus due to a bit of controversy, one of them was Greslin.

I've never heard of survival options! This could be so helpful. I hate how you cannot save, and you could have good wepons and armor and get killed pretty easy. Anyways thank you!
For me the fade to black transition was the scope blocking your sight because you are pulling the scope right up to your eye.
"Tales from the Commonwealth and atomic radio" without the atomic radio combined with "Atom cats radio" are seriously my all time favourite mods.
Hey, you might want to take advantage of chapters/timestamps. It makes the viewing really convenient especially if I want to skip a section or rewatch a section

@@Chunga5836 It's a collection of a few different mods by fadingsignal. I have it on Xbox. You get the Beretta M9-FS, MRE's (great for survival), remote explosives with detonators, Warby Parker Griffin eyewear, brahmin feeding trough for the workshop (no more lousy bathtub), and West Tek Tactical Optics (Incredible mod). I think that's everything, and it's only around 30MB, clutch. Maybe try searching for one of those mods individually? The M9-FS, glasses, explosive, tac optics and MRE's are all LL integrated, too. Also, you can use weapon replacers for the Beretta with the mergepack version. There's an M9 Samurai weapon skin mod that can be used with it, too, it's badass.
@@Chunga5836 You know what buddy, I just checked the mods on Xbox and it doesn't look like the merge pack is available fir download anymore 😕 I only still have it because I downloaded it before it was taken off. Looks like all the individual mods are still available, but at the cost of much more space. They are still top notch mods, though.
NPC's Travel is probably my favorite mod. There are TONS of others that are amazing I wouldn't play without, but nothing else makes the game feel more alive than this. You can control 100% of the mods options and really tailor the game to your playthrough. My personal favorite is to up to ghoul spawns and use TWD and turn it into a zombie fallout. Because ya know, that makes sense!
Top 5 mods for me... PC
1. Spring Cleaning + Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch... Scrap most stuff in settlements. Just be careful not to scrap the floors in Sanctuary, if you have the option selected in the Fomod installer.
2. Place Everywhere... Settlement building became easy.
3. Transfer Settlements... Make a perfect settlement, you can then save it as a Blueprint, as well as load pre-made settlement design Blueprints, from other people.
4. Outfit Switcher... Make outfits for Combat, Trading, Building, Radiation, etc... and swap with a Hotkey button press.
5. Rename Anything... The Vanilla game, has a lot of limitations for weapon, and armour renaming. This fixes it... I like to add prefixes to weapons and armour, but the vanilla game wont always let me.

@@siegfried2k4 I've never had any problems with Spring Cleaning, except a couple of things that can't be scrapped. Such as the Elm Sapling, but I just use the modpos z -200 command on them.
I have to use the Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch, along with it. As one of the Bethesda updates, broke the mod without it.
I've been using Spring Cleaning since it was released, with zero problems. Except the Bethesda Update one, that I mentioned. Which got fixed with the Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch.

I checked Scrap Everything, and it has less bugs in the bugs list, only 21, as opposed to 113 for Spring Cleaning, along with a more recent update... July 2019, as opposed to Spring Cleaning's last update in July 2016.

I use Spring Cleaning, and Place Everywhere, along with the Blueprints... Transfer Settlements mod. To build, and save almost all the settlements in the game. They're in my published save game starts I have.
I'll have to test Scrap Everything again, to see if it has any features that Spring Cleaning doesn't.

Pack attack does have some issues, it is very demanding on the game script engine so it has a tenancy to cause CTDs when you have large numbers of NPC's interacting at once. Usually when you have 15 or more in an area you see games become unstable.
Right handed hunting/lever action/handmade rifle animations are pretty much mandatory for me, they just look so much better than those of the base game.
Militarized Minutemen is another great one and the numerous customization options put it up there with some of the highest quality outfit mods in Fallout 4.
America Rising because I feel this would have been the perfect game for the Enclave to make an appearance, considering our character’s background.
I like knowing even more that it was released on the Marine Corps birthday.

my favorite Fallout 4 mod is Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
I loved the mod called junkmaster. It was basically wasteland imports but WAY bigger. It added loooads of power armor, weapons, ammo, armor, junk. It added things from fallout 3 to 76 like classic enclave pa, ultracite, secret service, WAY before the stand alones. They added more paints overall like hazard paints adding poison resistance. Super stims, fixer, 9mm 12.7mm, Chinese assault rifle, 45 pistol, plasma caster, gause minigun and shotgun. Merc armor raider armor, bennys suit. It was ANAZING it was a must have and only 600 mb but when I looked last it was gone and I can't find it. It was made by kufuman I think. Now I'm sad

The problem with See Through Scopes is the entire field of view zooms not just the area covered by the scope. It's very distracting to me and it's the reason that Bethesda uses the black overlay to block your view of that nonsense. I just use a simple setting in the game that makes the transition when aiming through a scope happen instantly. setgs fScopeEnteringFadeOutSec 0.000001

I love vogue, its the only ENB I have really like in Fallout 4. I never disliked the lighting Fallout 4 had, it just felt lacking but the overal look and feel felt great and vogue just builts on that very nicely. It feels like Vogue ENB is how Fallout 4 was meant to look.
Currently re downloading Fallout 4 and getting a feel of the modding scene currently by watcing a tone of your fallout 4 videos you made over the last few months. I wonder how Vogue looks with NACX Legacy Edition.
I dont see how anyone can play a modded survival run (at least on xbox) without survival options. Gotta be able to quick save or the frequent freeze n crash would be torment

I have it installed but only for the quick save and food alterations. Currently I'm using Better Locational Damage to rebalance difficulty but it would be interesting if I could cut that mod out for my next play through (even if that's in a few years😅). I like to run as few script heavy mods as possible.
