Thanks for the constant support - means a lot to the team! Hopefully by the time we finish making expansions (and an actual decade has passed...) we'll still have earned this title.
@@deathdude42 I second this. The settlement system should be as hands-on or hands-off as the player desires, including letting NPCs automate the process and fend for themselves using supplies you tell them to gather (or donate to them). If you wanna micromanage and build the place yourself, cool. But if you want to set a mayor and a city plan, then go for it!
See, if Bethesda was smart, they would hire geniuses like your team to recreate the god tier games and content like they made back in the day, skyrim as an example, bringing back the high reputation that Bethesda used to have back then.
Hey Juice, Crime and Punishment is out now and I'd love to see a video of you covering it. I think it's one of the best mods of all time personally and it only just came out.
@@twm0904 It's honestly really hard to explain how it works in just one comment, because there are so many features that you would need a whole video talking about just the general aspect of it. Basically, it overhauls the entire gameplay by adding in karma, crime, punishment (like going to jail or being executed), bounty hunters, alternate quest endings, disguises, holdups, kidnappings, and so much more. The mod itself adds in well over 6,600+ lines of dialogue too. I've played it for myself and oh my God, it just changes the game entirely.
Travis Maxey think of your actions have consequences like similar to red dead, but with more rpg aspects. (For example)- you can hold up npcs in a robbery, kidnap or get kidnapped, take bounties at a bounty board or get hunted by bounties depending how many crimes you caused, prostitution, get punishments equal to your crimes, etc.
I would like to add Age of Airships to the list. It's an amazing mod. It adds blimps, warships and several new areas and quests. The only drawback to it is it's size.
It's unusual for critics to be creative. They usually have a parasitic relationship with creative people. I also don't like what happened with MXR allegedly as a result of juicehead claiming copyright. How can it be right that one critic using direct links to mods he reviews, but that he had no part of creating, is able to use UA-cam to prevent another critic from using the same mechanism? Wouldn't it have been better all around if MXR was also able to have direct links to mods he features? At least MXR uses proper English and knows more words than "tons".
Yeah, not a whole lot of content released for Fallout 4 between 2010 and 2015... But I suppose he's technically not wrong as all the content was released in the prior decade, of course you could say the same thing about a game that was released in late 2019 and still be technically correct...
im so bummed sims settlements always crashes my game it genuinely is one of the best settlement mods and when it did work the settlements were so gorgeous and well planned :pensive:
I just started a new play through and decided to finally check out Sim settlement and I will never play another restart with out it. It makes building and managing settlements a lot easier and more pleasing to look at especially as they level up.
If you were a character in this game. You'd be the one good guy that monologues. Not sure how that should be possible, but that's how the start of these videos are. Hope all that extra explaing is gettin that ad money Happy birthday M8.
Happy belated birthday! These are all great picks, but there is one thing that surprised me. On the subject of companions, I'm very surprised you didn't at least mention Heather Casdin or Ellen The Cartographer. Both are very highly endorsed on the Nexus and for good reason. They both have lots of dialogue with good quality voice acting. Ellen has a quest, Heather has many quests and they both have in-depth backstories.
HB Juice. Don't know about everyone else. But one of the best mods ( For me anyway ) has to be Scrap Everything. Sure. You can accidentally scrap something you don'''t want to if you ain't careful. Like settlers, and quest related NPCs for instance. But, after clearing out a bunch of hostiles in a soon to be settlement. It is always nice to be able to get rid of the evidence. Scrapping is better'n burying the buggers.
Happy (at this point) belated birthday!!! Hope you had a wonderful day that day and from the moment you released this video! Thank you genuinely for this video and many amazing Fallout 4 mod videos, sat through the entire video with advertisements, how it’s really been an adventure since your first video of modding here’s to many more until Fallout 5 releases on next next gen consoles
I am sorry I'm late but I subscribed earlier today. Happy Birthday dude I love your content bro, your probably one of my favorite Fallout youtubers now!
The best part of Sim Settlements is how you can even set up a city plan and one of your followers (Or additional mods can make other NPCs) into City Leaders. Then they can build up the city according to the city plan automatically, only requiring you to come back to check on things once in a while and collect your profits and goods. I also like IDEK's logistics station addon for SIM Settlements since once you put down an industrial plot and turn it into a logistics station you'll get an automatic supply line and even a new settlement item you can place that lets you access settlement/workshop inventories even from Home Plate.
Happy birthday man congrats on your progression in your career on UA-cam if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know what I needed to know when I first started playing FO4 N all the information with 76 ect.
There should be a Mall in Fallout 4. I would like to see a mod that puts the Boston Mall into Fallout 4. I would also like to see a mod that puts the Boston History Museum in the game.
I picked up the stg-44 mod for this game and it’s a powerful weapon. It’s very useful and helps me build critical hits faster. It’s max damage is 124 damage with commando 5 and more than 200 damage with semi auto.

The problem with Horizon is you HAVE to build the load order around it, otherwise there'll be so many conflicts the game will be literally unplayable. That's why I hate these overreaching, all-encompassing mods. I guess it's meant for people who want to be done with modding quickly and install a single mod that does it all, instead of building up a list of mods.
Obviously, in the department of quality, it isn't as good because it's an older weapon mod, but I think my favorite weapon mod is the Scar-H by The Shiny Haxorus. It's sorta the OG of the weapon mods we are getting now. It felt like it layed the groundwork of what weapon mods would and have been.

But as soon as you put the assignment options back to auto, the city leader takes the settler off the artillery and assigns somewhere else.
