There's a Terminator mod that makes one hunt you and one protects you that literally changes the style of the game. Sleeping gives the assassin a chance to catch-up to you aswell as fast travel. It's also a gen5 synth making it difficult to fight with 3 difficulties that stack on the vanilla difficulties. Making you decide if fast travel and sleeping are actually worth it at the time. And killing it is near impossible. Making playthroughs just that much more difficult and immersive.
After my 3k+ hours on Fallout 4, in my humble opinion, CBBE and Sim Settlements (1 or 2) are my absolute musts. The settlement building was so lackluster in Fallout 4, and Sim Settlements really stepped into that void. And CBBE - well, it goes without saying why everyone needs this mod.
I like the mod Journey as a fast travel system. Can fast travel only between settlements you've set supply lines up between. Can also send stuff to settlements if you meet a caravaner (to the two he travels between). Transporting stuff that way costs a fee, which is fine, but I do wish it was determined by weight rather than by the value of the stuff being sent as that feels more logical.
I had no idea Redux was pronounced 're-ducks'. I was especially stunned when fact-checking. I thought it was pronounced the same as Redo and thought the word was rooted in French. So wrong was I. Still, they mean the same thing, Redux is just fancier XD
I know that everything in Fallout is supposed to have this "Mad Max retrofuturistic atompunk" design, but I would like a mod that makes the UI and HUD look more modern, is there something like that? 😅
I'm more in the camp of minimalistic (I never want stuff to get in my way or remove me from immersion), but both DEF_UI and FallUI allow you to tweak your HUD & UI to your liking. FallUI is more expansive and has more options/capabilities, but it is subjective what is 'best' in that regard.
Essential for me is Live Dismemberment. Makes targeting limbs worth it and i use the deadly headshots feature too. I imagine combined with the above, it makes for tactically blowing off limbs to neutralize enemies as needed.
America rising 2- legacy of the enclave is a criminally under rated mod, if u want a good story and a WHOLE new faction use it. And also USE buffout 4!
I never got STS and Tactical reload to work properly together, no matter what load order or optional patch I installed, so I just stopped using both as both seem to be very buggy
1. Tactical Tablet - I can no longer stand vanilla pip-boy, nor the Pip-pad mod. Once you use TT for a few minutes, you're never going back. 2. Looks Menu, Looks Menu Customization Compendium, HD skin & face textures, eye mods/fixes, hair mods, teeth mods/fixes, skeletal mods/fixes, CBBE, BodySlide + presets...essentially the necessities for creating better character appearance. Looking at your character with every conversation, I want to like the look they have. 3. The Midnight Run (TMR) basic modlist - FO4 requires so many bug fixes, tweaks and tools to get it running stable and smooth, that I always start with TMR's basic mod list and then build upon that with any other mods that enhance the game. 4. Sailboat Abode - I only play survival (no fast travel), so this mod brings all of the right aspects without breaking immersion or introducing fast travel in a way that 'cheats' (IMHO). You have a limited number of docking spots, it has to be on the water (except the dry dock in Concorde), travel isn't instaneous you get actual cutscenes of your boat pulling away from your docking location, and you cannot teleport the boat to wherever you are, you have to return to where you left it to use it. The boat provides all of the necessities that a settlement does (beds, stove, water, storage, workbenches, even a shower and toilet if you couple with CWSS) except crops, so if you wanted to forego settlement building and just want to go around doing missions, the boat truly becomes your traveling home and the only 'settlement' you need. Lastly, you aren't gifted this boat/home by some NPC, it doesn't require membership to some faction or just have it given to you by the game from the outset. You have to travel to FH and find it, take ownership of it and then it becomes yours, meaning that it doesn't become available until you not only can survive long enough to get to FH, but it isn't just sitting in some easy to get place, you'll actually have to go a fair distance, through some areas that would present a challenge for any low level character and then you have to go through some enemies to access the boat.
In stead of start me up I like using the Mod Another Life where you can start up in the Brotherhood from the Pridwin or Play as a Gunner and the Gunner faction aren't enemy and won't go hostel same if you plat as a Raider.
I appreciate the purpose of Start Me Up, i just wished that the "This is a memory" option acted similarly to the dream route in that my character would wake up in the wasteland after the events of the vault.
I've tried survival options, but han's worked, didn't get the tape and don't know how to open the interface at the min 3:31, actually my survival game is having trouble because bethesda taster choices bug, as always, but will need to select my options to adapt the gameplay or maybe even fix it.

This set of mods turns the commonwealth into a massive war zone. Jetpack Overhaul makes you power armor or your MS-06F Jetpack fly. I use this instead of fast travel. Conquest settle anywhere allows me to build my base in the skyscraper next to the tall Mutant skyscraper, or a barge off the coast. Gunners and Raiders are FOR REAL and spawning in packs, while Zombies are spawning as Endless Warfare spawns all kinds of stuff, everywhere. So I start a game with some bat files that equip me and then trick out the T-45 in Sanctuary with a minigun, missile launcher, jetpack and grenades to take on this uber warzone. You might fly into Lexington and drop down to see a gang of Gunner fighting a mod of super mutants led by a Behemoth- and some synths vs, zombies around the corner. I also go without the t-45 and use the tactical suit little jetpack. A sniper rifle and silenced Steyr-Aug. in hand. To use the little jetpack without dying, use Legendary modifications to put Acrobat on two pieces of armor.

I disagree with survival mode as i prefer rpgs to be power fantasies and while i am playing on Very Hard currently (just to farm legendaries), i am level 65 and wipe the floor with everyone. I dont get why you would want to die tons of times with a mod to make it harder.
Because a harder game = fun. It makes you think about gear, approach methods, resources, weather, time of the day, health, drugs, traps, companion gear and whatnot. It is fun to let us pick our fights and also to suffer the consequences of our decisions. Being an OP dude/dudette running around blasting everyone is not fun for many people, but it is for others, so it's ok
How is 5x damage for encounters with boss type creatures like the mirelurk queen, or vertibirds / power armor? I mean, I would appreciate if enemies such as these took more time to die.
I don’t know if anyone is going to see this I’m on Xbox and start me up redux is a great mod but unfortunately I had to uninstall it because the quest getting a clue kept glitching up on me that Nick Valentine gets to the office but the dialogue between him and Ellie won’t start I really hated that I had to uninstall start me up redux because I really enjoyed the mod.
Navigating though the sea of mods on Xbox & learning mod orders trying to find the perfect combination, Start Me Up Redux has been a gamechanger. Starting off a new playthrough as a drifter in the Boylston Club was my first experience with the mod. So cool being able to start with gear/levels open while still keeping it immersive is just amazing! Also using Random Encounter Framework and LEO(legendary effect overhaul) just makes each run feel fresh. If you're a fellow hoarder/collector like me, I'd also recommend New Bobbleheads, You're Extra Special, & Kentaros Framework/Magazines. Just be careful of Kentaros Treasures as it can cause instant crashes in Far Harbor =(
I haven't played for a while & i was wondering if there is a mod that takes into account the type of armour being worn by either npc or player, so if i was wearing a complete set of power armour i expect to be able to survive most fire arm attacks unless 50 cal or tesla ammo, i certainly don't want to be killed by a shotgun blast or a knife or at worst a punch, unless i wasnt wearing a helmet so yeah a well placed head shot would put me down, so hoping there is a mod out there that caters for this,

Check your physics fix mod. And if you don't have it limit your FPS to 60. I found out that when the game runs above 60 that's when I get issues more often with loading times.
I only recently got into modding the game. I got a whole bunch of cool gun mods and some neat vtac armor. I concurred the Commonwealth as the general using sim settlements. But I decided to finally get a skin mod to make the people look more natural and less soulless puppet-like. And that broke everyone in my game. Just a bunch of people with stretched-out faces and skin. I don't know how to do the skins very well...

I get the same effect of damage with better locational damage and tweaking all the damage resistance bullets have

I can agree with low ttk the game is more fun. Sadly this also affects Deathclaws, PA-Units, Mirelurk-Queens, Behemoths.

SS breaks workshop scripts for me, so it’s a hard pass unfortunately
Even with the downgrader I’m getting infinite loading screens from my previous load order.
Check your physics fix mod. And if you don't have it limit your FPS to 60. I found out that when the game runs above 60 that's when I get issues more often with loading times.

I only recently got into modding the game. I got a whole bunch of cool gun mods and some neat vtac armor. I concurred the Commonwealth as the general using sim settlements. But I decided to finally get a skin mod to make the people look more natural and less soulless puppet-like. And that broke everyone in my game. Just a bunch of people with stretched-out faces and skin. I don't know how to do the skins very well...
Skin mod? Like 8k skin?
@@kls1836 it was something like natural complexion and high poly faces. I just wanted people to look better and I made them look worse lol oh and dreamy eyes or something like that. Idk I uninstalled everything after that horrific failure
