All forms of Mutant Menagerie Horrors of the Deep Fog breaks Far Harbor and causes a CTD going towards where the Synths are. Probably a Vanilla Game Engine problem, but one that should be looked into.
Loading time is one of the biggest mechanical gripes i have with the game. I don't mind loading screens in general, but Fallout 4's load time is especially terrible. Anything that decreases that is a win for me.
To me it's just a game that I go back to every once in a while, so haven't done the mod approach though some of these do look interesting. Any chance we could get a top 10 list of mods that don't rely on other mods that can only be found off site from Nexus? War and Peace look fantastic but rely on mods not available on Nexus and I'm not all that good at file managing to begin with.
Good mods list. My personal favorite is the mod that turns all the deathclaws into Macho Man Randy Savage, complete with full audio. Literally did laugh out loud the first time i came across one. Too bad the devs didn't follow through on a PS4 mod.
Gotta say I felt SSChap3 was by far the weakest of the 3 with how much it forces you to rejig your version of the commonwealth to the ss3 story, if i've already armed the settlements in question to the teeth having them auto-lost to the gunners made me a bit grumpy.
Sim Settlements Question: Should you install and finish Chapter 1, then install Ch 2 and after that's done install Ch 3 or should you install all 3 and it'll deal with making sure you don't get overloaded itself?
If you are on PC, get all 3 chapters, active them all. The main questline chapters progress in order anyway, there is no jumping ahead. The content gets unlocked in chapter order. If you are on xbox where space is strict, you can install and finish one chapter before installing another.
@@beebscalicorThanks, that was exactly what I was hoping to hear. Sadly some DLCs and mods adding content and such well before it makes sense like in FO:NV if you had all the DLCs you got a ton of radio messages as soon as you walked out of the doctors office and there was also a ton of stuff you could pick up and be over geared early on. I wasn't sure if adding all 3 chapters might do something similar to where I'd start finding gunner outposts or something before reaching that part of the story.
I'm playing through the Enclave Rising 2 Mod and I'll be honest, I haven't seen them as evil yet, but, there's a chance that I'm way to early in the mod. I also realize why they didn't include the Enclave as a normal faction, especially the way it's implemented with the mod. As someone FROM The old world, of course you would want that back, Nate especially as a Soldier would probably engrain himself into the chain of command and attempt to get his old rank back whatever that was, and with the characters as presented at the start, they're all rather personable, rightfully wary of you at the start. I haven't encountered anything evil yet, but I'm assuming it's only a matter of time...
Are there many problems adding multiple quest mods to a single run through? Would like to experience a few quest line mods but would be nice to do them in a single play through.
The institute not using plasma weapons and being weak was a problem. As fighters they should stink but the armour and weapons including plasma rifles and grenades would be a mitigating factor. Not a fan of Sim Settlements,I like my own mods. The rest of these I have to try. I have a character just for trying new mod loads. Okay the first three mods are buggy. Upon testing though the final 7 work as stated. Perhaps the bugs were after you used Institute technology overhaul, sims settlements 2, and Faction Reinforcements? Or maybe I suck at using nexus. After all is said and done I only liked 3 enough to use them in next play through, disc cache enabler, Bleachers 2, and Mutant Menagerie-Life finds a way. Still that made the video worth watching.
The Fens Sheriff's Department mod _looks_ absolutely incredible, but unfortunately the writing is nonsensical dogshit. It reduces the player to the sidekick of an insufferably annoying, unfunny, cartoonishly sadistic lunatic who all the other NPCs seem to think is the best thing since sliced bread. It's basically Fallout: Poochie Edition.
@@ph0759 It's a shame, because while I had some issues with The Bleachers it was at least vaguely competently-written. This one, on the other hand... not so much.
iam still sore, that fallout 4 got so much care over the years from bethesda and the modding community made so much for it, while fallout 4 just a few fixes to an old version even back then and the modding community did almost nothing for it. those 4 versions runs such different build, that almost every mod after 2019 doesnt work right which tinkering an self made adjustments. but since i got my vr headset, it cant play games flat anymore, is such a step back for me, as going from 3drendered back to 2 rendered. its all about 2 things: depth perception and a total different way of eye catching compared to flat gaming, and feeling much more natural due to hand, body and head movement
Didn't like Bleachers 2. Just didn't have the writing quality of the 1st part while reducing the PC to a sidekick with the author of the mod getting angry when people didn't like that. I think they thought their writing was better then the base games when it was far from it.
I like Sim Settlements a lot but i judt want to build stuff without the quests being attached. Ah well, there's always the 3-in-1 version and Conqueror.
One thing that always annoyed me with Fallout 4 is the way enemies seem to randomly spawn into your environment, there doesn't seem to be a reason for them to be there other than attack you. It would be great if they would go on more patrols or have places to live etc instead of just existing randomly within the wasteland triggered by a player walking past.
I would greatly appreciate a 2024 top quality of life mods list for a new play through. Reinstalled the game after watching the new series 😅 Mods that don’t dramatically change the gameplay, but make the game fresh.
Fens Sherrif's Department was a lot of fun. I started a new playthrough just for Life Finds A Way. I ignored all of the vanilla story line and quests and set about to just survive in the world with hunting, fishing and herb gathering. Taking of of #1 and the Commonwealth can just take care of itself. It made for a very different game. The mag feature of Wars reminds me of what it was like to be a soldier and carrying 8 to 12 loaded mags in my pockets. America Rising 2 was well done, although I found the oil rig to be a P.I.T.A. as it a) was too big and b) it usually killed my frame rate. But the story and integration into FO4 was truly well done.
I tired to like the fens sheriff department i really did and I guess some people dont mind it but I quickly got sick of how every character in that mod makes a poimt of making your character feel like an idiot all the time plus lily is easily the most insufferable follower ive ever seen in a mod period.
This is one heckuva list. Yes please and thank you. Now I just need to find the download that put all these together pre-patched so I can click n play lol
I know it seems like a tedious request. But I wanted to ask if you could use chapters in your video in the future, so it's easier to find each individual mod you're talking about
I want mods that will change the combining wheel for the better. I get through all the junk and c*** cars. Trucks trailers destroyed trains and replaced them with new settlements and rebuilding the commonwealth

I think Disk Cache Enabler would've helped me more around 7-8 years ago =)
Bloatflies shoot rockets is insanely funny and I recommend it, also a rocket pack....
"And for some of you, _thousands_ of hours."
Eight. Eight thousand. I may have a problem.
All forms of Mutant Menagerie Horrors of the Deep Fog breaks Far Harbor and causes a CTD going towards where the Synths are. Probably a Vanilla Game Engine problem, but one that should be looked into.
nicely narrated, thank you!
Man, i need to download a few of these tonight, especially the disk cache one!
Lost world fallout mod is incredible this is my first time playing the game and i love the aesthetic
@JuceHead you should honestly like yearly or monthly release a massive mod pack on nexus i would 100% play it
Fine... I'll play the game again...
Loading time is one of the biggest mechanical gripes i have with the game. I don't mind loading screens in general, but Fallout 4's load time is especially terrible. Anything that decreases that is a win for me.
“Lore friendly creatures”
Shows a giraffe in Boston
Thank you for this video. Subscribed !
To me it's just a game that I go back to every once in a while, so haven't done the mod approach though some of these do look interesting. I usually just play it in survival mode and that seems to be good enough. My four border collies keep me entertained elsewhere most of the time. Kudos though for your efforts and love of the game.
Hopefully we get the next gen version of F4 this year with all the mods with it. Just like what we got with the Skyrim AE one. It would be a good reason to replay and I've still not played nuka cola dlc yet lol.
they need to fix the PBR support in FO4
No offense but why would you want that update it is probably goona break all mods
@@epicforger12345 I'm dreading it, because one of my favourite mods has been abandoned by its author since 2020 - so if it breaks, it'll most likely be broken forever 😥
@@philiphunn194 hopefully there will be a game update downgraded like there was for Skyrim
for wars id like to see a fast reload where you drop the mag onto the ground, and a slower one that takes longer, but lets you put the spent mag straight into your pack. Myabe add an option where you can hotkey them to different buttons?
I hope it is like the Enclave Reborn mod for HOI4 Old World Blues in which the decisions are profound with a reformist and purist faction and the effect that has on the core faction. (I have not played through the America Rising mod yet)
Any chance we could get a top 10 list of mods that don't rely on other mods that can only be found off site from Nexus? War and Peace look fantastic but rely on mods not available on Nexus and I'm not all that good at file managing to begin with.
I'm always looting Institute Weapons to sell the weapons or scrap them for parts.
At this point I just want Fallout:London, I'm just wondering if it will be like a huge pack of mods or just all in one pack, hopefully number 2 tho
Quick question can you have all three chapters of sim settlements installed at the same time? Or just one at a time
Newermind is my favourite mod author
Dude your fallout game runs so much smoother than mine 😂
America Rising still works btw, survived the FONG purge.
Good mods list. My personal favorite is the mod that turns all the deathclaws into Macho Man Randy Savage, complete with full audio. Literally did laugh out loud the first time i came across one. Too bad the devs didn't follow through on a PS4 mod.
Winter of atom should've been a dlc
Gotta say I felt SSChap3 was by far the weakest of the 3 with how much it forces you to rejig your version of the commonwealth to the ss3 story, if i've already armed the settlements in question to the teeth having them auto-lost to the gunners made me a bit grumpy.
can u make a video about all the mods u use, ur game looks really fun. it be fun to know your mods😅😅
Dang, that Sim Settlements 2 mod seems cool, if only I knew how to download nexus mods on steam deck☹️
I don’t think the enclave is that bad lol I mean yeah they are pretty ruthless but in order to establish order you got got to break a few bones
Kottabos Games and theDeluxeSam have both been doing let’s-plays of the mod, and they definitely do get pretty dark.
@@philiphunn194 Oof, I guess that's to be expected. Guess my protag is betraying the Enclave later...
It's crazy cuz I can't find a single one of these mods when searching them up by name
It's one of the worst quest mods I've ever played. Writing and voice acting are both terrible
@@ph0759 It's a shame, because while I had some issues with The Bleachers it was at least vaguely competently-written. This one, on the other hand... not so much.
Still better than thuggysmurf's mods tbh
mutant menangerie life finds a way has a nasty CTD when you kill bee swarms
iam still sore, that fallout 4 got so much care over the years from bethesda and the modding community made so much for it, while fallout 4 just a few fixes to an old version even back then and the modding community did almost nothing for it. those 4 versions runs such different build, that almost every mod after 2019 doesnt work right which tinkering an self made adjustments. but since i got my vr headset, it cant play games flat anymore, is such a step back for me, as going from 3drendered back to 2 rendered. its all about 2 things: depth perception and a total different way of eye catching compared to flat gaming, and feeling much more natural due to hand, body and head movement
Haven’t heard of or seen the mod but I’d be interested. Is it compatible with see through scopes?
Wars and peace is kind of a headache to deal with in general for modding though So just a heads up
I tried War in my load out. It never changed! Its had no updates....it never changes!
Reinstalled the game after watching the new series 😅
Mods that don’t dramatically change the gameplay, but make the game fresh.
My hype for fallout London is crazy
Fallout London this year, Elder Scrolls Skyblivion next
HI, Just wondering do all these mods all work together.? Cheers
I personally don't consider the Enclave to be pure evil. It jist depends on whos running the show.
But the story and integration into FO4 was truly well done.
man i wish i could get back into this game
I tired to like the fens sheriff department i really did and I guess some people dont mind it but I quickly got sick of how every character in that mod makes a poimt of making your character feel like an idiot all the time plus lily is easily the most insufferable follower ive ever seen in a mod period.
Yeah, you're not alone. Hated every moment of that mod and had to stop halfway through. Just couldn't stand listening to Lily anymore.
Thank you juice head for being the last of the real and the providers of the fallout universe even after the hype train departs
This is one heckuva list. Yes please and thank you.
Now I just need to find the download that put all these together pre-patched so I can click n play lol
What hardware are you running?
No attachment pack?
Thank you so much. ❤
Disc cache worth using on a new computer with 32 gig ram + ssd 990 pro thats already ultra fast?
If I haven't played any SS2 chapters, must I install one chapter at a time or can I install all three and still experience it all?
I’m still trying to figure out how to add any of sim settlements to my game and trying to find a mod that adds the heavy guns in 76 to 4 as well.
