    I am SO glad to have found you! I’m 66 years young and getting back into rebounding after moving to Portugal with my husband. Finding TRULY Beginner routines with modifications is darn near impossible - till YOU! I have hope that I can master this at my own pace now. 4.5 years ago I was paralyzed from the waist down with Gillian Barre Syndrome. Still working on getting my strength and balance confidence back. Thanks so much!

    I have been looking for a beginner's class and this is perfect! I tried some other classes but they were not truly for beginners. They didn't explain well and were way too advanced for a true beginner. I love the choices you clearly offer and model for difficulty, even for beginners. I am hooked!

    After doing the 2 videos with you and your grandma, which I really like by the way, I decided to try this one. I like that you can can add as much intensity (or not ) as we see fit. I also like how you tell us how much time is left and no loud annoying music. Thank you so much! I did hit the subscribe button. :)

      Yay welcome to the rebounding family… I could give you some information it would be to make sure moderation is key you don't wanna go into a 30-40 minute workout until you are used to it....
      Listen to your body and always do a cool down after every workout, not all rebounding teachers tell you to do a bounce cool down to reset your nervous system it's very vital ...
      Happy rebounding🎉

    Thanks so much for this beginner's workout. Its so hard to get motivated to start moving again and then frustrating when I can't keep up or the moves are too hard. This work out is perfect. I can dial it back if I need to, but it also gives me something to work toward by adding little extras in as I feel ready. Thanks again. Exactly what I needed!!

    Glad I found this channel, love the way you teach rebounding step by step,I’ve had mine a few months but wasn’t really sure how to use it properly. Your lesson in using the feet and legs was very good, a lot of the channels go straight into a work out without really explaining the right technique. I was doing park runs and c25k but have put on so much weight it’s hard on my back, so this is fantastic. Thank you. Look forward to repeating and going through your channel

    This is the 1 st time I tried this one - went through the 10 mins for beginners , & 15 mins - another 15 min one . This one is excellent for me , as I realise with this , as you break down the movements to slow & modified , just how uncoordinated I am . Also noticed , with my discoordination that I sometimes breathed through my mouth . Had time to notice the details of little bad habits bc at a nice slow pace . I feel I have time to notice & get back into correct deep breathing through the nose . This is really teaching me to be better coordinated . Thanks so much . Can't tell you enough how great all your vids are ! So many here that there's no room for boredom .
    Btw , it'd be briiliant if one day you could make us a video concentrating on leg strengthening & cellulite . Thanks again Earth & Owl 😄👍🏻👌👏😀🙏❤

    Hello, I found you on tiktok. I'm very grateful for your youtube! I like following along. I've been doing many different youtube videos on rebounding for about a month ish now I enjoy your encouragement, your breaks, and your voice! Thank you, this is perfect for a beginner like me.
    One thing though... in your thumbnail it's you, with a BAR and in the actualy video you aren't using a bar. So i was slightly thrown off... So It had to be slightly modified for me. It's hard to find videos where they use the bar, but for super beginners i still need it!
    But thank you very much, will 100% be trying out your other videos

    • @EarthOwl

    Wonderful workout, but the very end I feel like there should be a cool down… So those who are beginners who don't know much about about rebounding don't just abruptly stop at the end just let your body calmly slow down with the bounce and just let your body do what it's gonna do and then it'll eventually come to a stop you have to let your nervous system calm down after working out…

    Thank you great workout just sharing some vital information that I have learned in my research…

    Love this! It's great how you set it up as beginner, but it's easy to bump it up to more intermediate too. I have a Jump Sport rebounder as well, and upgraded my bungees about two years ago to the four knot ones. Now they are very customizable! Do you mind saying which Jump Sport rebounders you use there? Is it one of their Pro styles? Or do you know which bungees you are using? Because your mat barely moves when you bounce. I sometimes struggle to stay in sync with the instructors I bounce to, and it can be frustrating. I'm not sure if I should upgrade them again or just keep making them tighter. Thanks so much for these videos!!

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I use the Jumpsport 350PRO on the middle to firmest setting (4 knots). For me, the tighter mat setting and firmer bounce helps me keep tempo a little better in my more challenging bounce 2 & 3 workouts. Some people prefer a softer bounce for various reasons. A soft bounce is great for my bounce one workouts and can certainly work in bounce 2 & 3, it just makes it more challenging to keep tempo. All personal preference! I always say, do the moves you can at the pace that works for you.

    Thank you for this! I have been rebounding for about two months now so I still consider myself a beginner. I increase the intensity of this workout by taking my feet off the mat if desired, but find the timer you set and the 1-minute breaks between sessions very useful. I rebound on a bellicon, and their "posture" (at least in their official videos) seems different/unique to other trainers I've see on youtube; that is, they propose a tall, straight-body posture that "lengthens" the spine. Yet I've seen many others do it your way - with a slight hinged forward back. Could you share what the pros and cons of each might be?

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  3 роки тому +9

      The posture I suggest, an athletic ready position, certainly helps with speed and tempo. As you head into the level 2 videos you'll see most of my workouts are paced. My #1 tip is core engagement. If the abdominal muscles are not engaged, it puts much more strain on your low back. Lastly, the more effort you put into pressing down into your mat, the harder your body works. I find an athletic ready position helpful for that push down. I could see an upright position being fine for someone who is bouncing more for lymphatic flow or not keeping tempo as long as their core is engaged. In my personal experience having a bit of a knee issue in my right knee, it's pretty important to keep that slight bend in your knees. If my knee joint accidentally locks out, my knees moan and groan. For that reason, it's helpful for me to stay "athletic ready". You could always try both and see how your body feels after each and certainly the type of workout could play a factor. Hope that helps!

    If anyone is hypermobile, bracing the core can be counterproductive. Hypermobile people tend to brace all the time anyway and further bracing can cause pain, tension in the muscles and shortness of breath in some cases.

    • @EarthOwl

    • @EarthOwl
      @EarthOwl  2 роки тому

      Hi! That is a difficult question to answer. It varies from person to person depending on their fitness level and the intensity at which they are working out. I just read a comment from someone that they lost 15 pounds in the first month rebounding, but again...I have no idea what their beginning weight was, how often they are rebounding, or their nutrition. If you need to lose 10-15%, I'd say there is a very good likelihood that if you are consistent you'll see weight loss fairly quickly.

Maybe 1A video very low with bar or no arms. 1B the next level , 1C with bigger move variations and big arms. I would also have liked it to start explaining correct form, it doesn't show it till later on, and more side views of each move for form because we beginners are thinking about not falling off (especially if they are heavy or seniors) and we need form reminder more often. Also you keep telling the viewer to slow down if the pace is too fast that means that your pace is too fast! I think instructors forget what beginner means.
