4:28 : When a questioner is at their best they have the self discipline of an upholder, the reliability of an obligor and the authenticity of a rebel. This was the best line ever said for the questioners !!
I just took the Quiz and came to UA-cam to check for more info on how to “tame” myself as a questioner or how you put it to accomplish my goals. As an entrepreneur being a Q can be a very good thing because we know EVERYTHING but it can be awful because we won’t do ANYTHING ...this makes sense as to why I’m so much better at fixing other people’s project then starting one of my own from scratch. For other people I quickly analyze and pull something cool out of my never ending bucket of knowledge ... but for me... I just keep thinking “no that’s not good enough” ...”nope” ...”let’s try another one” ... ugh ...long story short thanks for letting me j ow I’m not crazy and providing some advice!
I’m at a stage in my life that I said fuck it, time to hire coaches and mentors loll its just ridiculous. I am also a Q and its gotten to a point where I’m like “I know exactly what to do, how and why, but won’t pull the damn plug and actually freaking do it” lol its been 2 years that all I’ve been doing is starting projects and never finishing them. I went from learning about entrepreneurship and having an interest for the game, to today, knowing how to make billions with IPOs and LBOs. Its been 2 years of studying. Now I need money. This is why I got myself a mentor. As he says “ill hold ya dick to the finish line” 😂😂😂 its only going to cost 10% equity but its better to have 90% of something than 100% of nothing!
Abriana, You're not crazy! I have *many* clients who feel the exact the same way. I encourage them to design their business in a way that they always have things to respond to and "question". Not all of us are wired to come up with things on our own. If you find yourself getting stuck in your creative or decision-making process, try pulling in someone you know and trust who can brainstorm and give you ideas to question and respond to until you land on something that feels really right.

Only halfway through this video and I feel so much better about who I am and the way I navigate the world. *Research Paralysis*. How enlightening and inspirational! Thank you, thank you!🙏
I LOVE data!! 😍💕 I have spreadsheets and tracking systems for almost every aspect of my life lol... maybe a little nerdy, but like you said, data doesnt lie!! By checking in with it regularly, I can make sure my efforts are aligned with my inner goals!! Thank You for the video, Imogen!
Thank you for the informative video. And this is completely aside the point but you are astronomically attractive to me lol. Beautiful looks and beautiful voice :)
I think this is really interesting, but I also think there are different flavors of Questioner. I definitely question everything. But, and I think the stems from my CliftonStrengths, I gather my data through taking action and social communication. My Top 10 is: Activator, Strategic, Positivity, Futuristic, Woo, Communication, Input, Command, Ideation, Self-Assurance. So I rarely have analysis paralysis. But in order to do anything, I have to know my WHY, and my motivation comes from that. If something doesn’t make sense to me, it doesn’t work for me. This is one of the reasons I work for myself. But I wanted to throw this out here because of some Questioners actually gather data through action, and then we rework our models as we go.
It sounds like it's difficult to make this video without getting distracted with thinking too much while speaking if that makes any sense. It's like you are constantly analysing the best word to say next (I feel that) 😂
Questioners are also motivated by external rewards and punishments, but the cool thing is we are also good at finding ways to game the system and leverage parts of the system against the other. For example most organizations say you must obey orders from above, but of course some orders are stupid and malignant. So the questioner goes along but looks for ways to prove that the person giving malignant and stupid orders (sometimes just to punish a group of people they are bigoted against) is violating rules themselves, is harming the organization, and even personal flaws that they can use to emberass and in the case of the malignant narcissist or psychopathic boss blackmail them into rejoining the human race. In milder cases for example you can point out to HR that the person being malignant has embezzeled from the company, sexually harasses people, makes catastrophic decisions that hurt the bottom line etc.
All of these traits and tendencies are alive in each of us as a product of our social and gender conditioning, experiences, environments, traumas and self-protection strategies. So yes, it's possible to have a strong dose of both, and also to change over time (Gretchen Rubin and I disagree on this point).
@@ImogenRoyCoaching That's what people say nowadays when they actually wear real fur, because often times real fur is even cheaper. Fake fur in the 80s wasn't fashionable so I doubt this is even true. Doesn't matter: real looking fake fur still encourages the idea of wearing fur. It's a thoughtless action, not thinking about the cruel consequences for animals.

I'm a questioner. I think the world needs more of us.
Or do they?? 😉 (joking I am a Questioner, and I totally agree!)

Did you just unlock a whole new perspective on how I view myself out of the blue? Well guess I have a lot of questioning to do now 😅

Ugggh this is the reason I don’t think I can make ONE video ... always thinking...too many ummms ... she did way better than me as a Q!

What is the name of the tv journalist you are talking about? Can't quite catch it!
It's Louis Theroux! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Theroux
I relate so much to this as well as your Rebel video, is it possible or common to be both?

@@ImogenRoyCoaching I was listening to her audiobook and she said their are rebel leaning questioners.
So sad this lady is wearing fur. Just makes everything she says less authentic.
It's an "authentic" acrylic faux fur from the 1980s!
