@@MaxWilliams-z8q since factory clear coat can withstand Death Valley at 120 degrees I figured the underside of my forearm is just right. Think of it this way. Black car in hot sun over 100 degrees, you can still touch it quickly with your hand and why I don’t use my hand. The skin under the foreman seems perfect and what I use to test the heat. So far 31 years in Pdr, I haven’t split paint using torch heat and always tested with underside of my forearm. Hope that helps.
Always gotta be someone like you complaining about something silly like music and never mentions anything positive. So the loud pounding wasn't an issue? But the music playing over his outro you felt needed mentioning? GTFOOH.
I have no idea why you went from underneath. It’s wide open through the tail light. Better leverage, and a better angle to access the damage is through the light
I use a torch through a tube to keep proper distance and glide it over the area I’m about to push with intensity. Metal holds onto heat pretty well and I get it hot enough to not have paint break issues. What I don’t like about a heat gun is I can’t use it anywhere and it’s a pain to have running all the time and not a necessity. Be well have fun!
This video gives me hope! My Silverado is almost identically dented except on the passenger side
my truck went sliding going down hill slope & the trailer hit my passenger side by the tail gate 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I have same dent in my Silverado, as this, my daughter backed into it. The Truck was less than yr old

Nice work, and great explanation.
What did you use to heat up panel & how hot would you say you should go? Would a heat gun work?
