My father was a fender body man for 50 years. I wish he were alive to see this kind of work! I seen him work magic on the older heavy metal panels of the older cars and trucks. Fix holes, stretch and shrink metal, anvils, pick hammers, flat head hammers he had em all. All his tools are safely stored but I have no idea what to do with them almost nobody does hammer nobody work with the new thin high strength memory steel used these days. To be honest it's almost unbelievable to see you do this kind of work! Extremely well done video and great content!
Your dad was the man!
it's not worth the work.Old-fashioned.............
@@wilsoncougar4267oh it’s so worth the work. You won’t find it in a collision shop but I work in restoration and you damn bet we hammer them as flat as we can
Fake?
I love this video
If I didn't see it I would never believe that was salvageable. Incredible work!
Es muy cierto por eso digo que me quedé como rgum preguntándome cómo lo haces buen trabajo maestro
Want to go to work on my car some idiot hit me hit and run driver they want $2,000 to fix it
I have been doing auto body/collision repair for forty years and never would have believe this had I not watched it with my own two eyes, that was amazing to say the least,I subscribed

It's refreshing to watch a quality bodyman make a repair--AND--without needing paint !! YOU, sir , know your craft !
as a red seal body tech I am offended by your suggestion that we don't do quality work....
He’s not a body man, he’s a PDR technician . This repair still needed paintwork and probably a skim coat, but he clearly stated the customer wanted a 90% repair and didn’t want to pay for a flawless repair. Paying attention helps
Sir you are a metal genius we need more professionals like you
I do have to say myself the man if steel is more of a wizard of metal. I'm 56 years old and been doing body and paint work since I was 13 years old, specializing in restorations and customs. I used to think I was above average at working metal until I watched him in action and by far I believe he's the best I've seen.
Thank you for your comment
I have to agree. He is VERY good!

The man of steeeeeeelll. You’re a legend! Incredible content and the passion you put into your videos is incomparable! I’m subscribing in hopes to be a fraction as good as you are in dent repair.
Seriously man, at this point, it’s beyond skills or art, it’s either magic or alchemy.
Laugh out loud funny thank you for your comment

Kevin right on you made my evening with your great comment.. thank you
You're an artist, bro. If this is 90% you have a lot of pride in your work.
New to the channel and about a year and a half into body work. You sir are already making my life easier. Killer skills.
Josh Welcome to my channel thank you for subscribing
WoW! I didn't think that was possible to come out so clean. There were so many potentially nasty areas - tight creases being the worst. Well done - magic AND alchemy! Greetings from an autumnal Britain.🙂
Thank you for your comment I really appreciate it

@Jay O they are stamped. Not very spectacular. This repair however is very spectacular!
Dude that was awesome thanks! This cuts down on repair costs ! Your on a gold mine with that ! Totally amazed 😲👏
It's amazing how easy, a competent/skilled worker makes this look.
Very nicely done
Good to know still some people are this talented, patient, and not just a replacer of any damn thing!
Seriously this was a piece of work that was not near but beyond perfection without any teardown.
I wish I could learn this art technique from you.
New subscriber and I have to thank you immensely for your videos because they have taught me so much! I'm used to working under the hood, so body work has been a who new ball game for me, but your videos have been great and saved me a ton of money

This type of repair is old school. The problem today is the younger body techs want the easy way out, replace and paint.
Great video. I'm normally an engine guy, but this video was really interesting. Wish you would have shown your hammer in focus. I would like to have seen the end of it a little better.
I finally did PDR for the first time. I can’t believe how much it works. I use to work at a Corvette body shop for years. We always replaced stuff or broke out the hammer and dollies to straighten metal then the stud gun and on to bondo and europrime and guide coat and into the booth it went.
My kids car was blasted by a lady that ran a stop sign making a left into his drivers side front tire.
I spent the weekend replacing suspension parts and using epoxy to fix the headlight. I decided to give PDR a try after seeing your videos and buying the tools from Amazon. I have to say I was shocked at what I was able to do with no paint work. You can’t even tell it was hit.
I spent about 30 minutes with my buffer and some pads with superduty and finishing compound. It’s like it was never touched.
I just wanted to say thanks for the videos. I learned enough watching you to do this on my own and the results were amazing. My kid still thinks I replaced the fender and bumper. That says something about the information I picked up from your videos.
New subscriber, as a cold rolling mill operator ive got a great respect for how you morph and manipulate this magic material!

New sub here. I’m not sure how I found this channel but your work is next level. I’ve done a little dent removal in my time but nothing like this. You are the Man of Steel. Just wondering how much the typical dent removal cost?

$900-$1200
@@DentDiscountPDRBodyShop I am a new subscriber. Would this work on a car that had been repainted? Assume it had filler, epoxy primer then base and clear. I am guessing filler would have cracks preventing a perfect repair? Also, I believe you said customer wanted 90 percent repair ... how much extra to finish it to flawless like it never happened? If you were near me, I would be sending you my business. Really enjoy watching you work.
Insane SKILLS!!!!! You are as much a wizard as a tech. I have done body work 35 years and I can't pick and file bare steel as good as you repair a painted surface.
Glad I found your channel. I appreciate the metal work. Anyone can slap mud on a dent but this is amazing.
😁I love that :"it's too easy to replace the Fender"💪

If I had a fraction of this knowledge in how to heat, shape, and manipulate metal, I would never have to worry about where I park to avoid door dings. This level is only achieved after years of hard work. New sub here.
Absolutely amazing, this is the bodyshop of the future, had a PDR man I use save the roof of my classic car after a car bonnet fell on it which was tied to the garage roof, he did an awesome job, I buffed up the roof and it's perfect, but this is another level

I have been a professional locksmith for over 25 years and like you, having the passion and dedication and the ability that set's us apart from the others in our respective trades although very different is the ability to think outside the box and approach and accomplish jobs that others have either given up on or just afraid of taking on in the first place!
I'm 7 years away from retirement and have practiced pdr on all of my families vehicles for the last 5 years and love it enough to hopefully get into pdr full-time when I retire if my body permits me to, ( I've had several back surgeries and joint replacements that your videos have been so inspirational to me to not give up) you are the perfect example of true persistence and incredible ability!
Please keep making the best videos on UA-cam, thanks!

AMAZING WORK, MAN OF STEEL DELIVERS WITH CONFIDENCE!
Just came across your channel. I'm a car mechanic. Just know enough of bodywork to know how difficult it is, and that I'm not good at it. We take our cars to bodyshops. None of them came out as clean as your results. Very very good!
His non-flawless repair work is so excellent that I think I would NOT do the flawless repair at all! I am truly amazed.
you are brilliant man 👍🏻, I shall call you "the man of the dents art work", keep up the good work
Thank you
You earned a new subscriber. Amazing repair work. Watched you fix a quarter panel on one right before this I basically laughed when you said it could be done. Being in the collision repair trade for most of my working life I didn’t think it possible without paint cracks or super stretched metal. It was immaculate when you got finished up, figure this fender you could do with eyes closed. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

Awesome work, true artistry, subbed.
I pulled out the rear of a vehicle that had been back-ended with a u-bolt through the rear frame at the center of the collision secured to a chain around a tree. It worked, but didn't come out quite that well well aligned or tidy.
Currently have a dent above the rear light of a Dodge Caravan to push out, but haven't find a good access point, everything enclosed in metal. May need to take out the decorative panel inside, drill a hole, and cut an access point.
Fantastic work! OMG! first time on your channel, and I am so impressed with your skills! absolutely brilliant! I am retired now, but used to be a panel beater and sprayer,,,, never with so much perfection in taking out the dents as yourself! It was a matter of reducing the amount of filler to use by taking out as much of the dented panel as I could, using dollies and hammers etc to finish .! thanks for a very informative and interesting, entertaining channel!
All the best, Les
Les thank you for your comment and appreciate it
Nice ! C K I'm an amateur pdr handyman with amateur pdr tools working on my own car. I've been watching pdr and pdr training tubes of all kinds for about 2 years and your channel is the best I've seen by far. I've got a 2017 toyota with a much easier "hunted by a buck at the beginning of hunting season" dented fender, that I screwed up by impatience from my first pushing experiments with improvised pushing tools, dang. I put a bunch of stretched pimples left over in the fender, that I thought while working I could knock down and shrink. Plus the beginning of an oil can, barely noticeable on the passenger door I stayed away from while I did a 90% repair on that door already. Hot box, pro push rods? Everything else I've done was all glue pulls using amateur tabs.
I've already watched about ten of The Man of Steel excellent videos and have gotten a few new ideas about how to proceed from here to the next level with dents on 2 doors, hood, and the (fender I may need to replace and spray with code 4X1 steel blonde, waterborne) if I can fix the huge crowns.
++ just saw the links below this video to some tools I'll need.
Wow man, new subscriber here. I work in dent repair as you do but nothing pdr related and I’d love to begin! Watching your videos is quite inspiring and I can’t wait to start getting some reps in on this whole new game. Keep it up friend.

I remember as a young man working at a dealership back in the 70s, the car metal was so thick we always drilled and used that dent puller and then hammer and grind and bondo. so much metal to work with . now the car's metal are so thin the techniques have changed as a necessity.wish i could find a shop like this in houston.
Right on
That’s incredible. I’m going to try these techniques on my truck today.
Did it work?
I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Aside from some light damage on my hood and front fender, my car's body is cherry. However, that damage to the hood and fender HAD me discouraged to get it fix, but after seeing this video I can see how they can fix it pretty easily now. I'm too broke to buy a new car and this one still works great. I'm so happy that I watched this video.
The result says a lot about the master. The master is super!!! If there was an opportunity to become a disciple of such a master, I would be just happy...👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you I really appreciate that
