The most amazing part to me is the paint, it's flexibility. The fact of seeing the paint "stretched" to such a degree and then manipulated back, without a crack is incredible.
Ive seen dent repairs before and im always in shock. When this popped up on my recommended i had to watch. You sir have done a fantastic job, this is real skilled labor right here. Have a pat in the back. Good job, good job, good job,
Yeah, I went through years of school and OJT and got a degree in paint/fender/body, and when I would ask about PDR, a lot of the guys would scoff and say it was fine for small dents, or maybe after hail storms. They'd all want to remove/replace fenders, cut/weld/fill/sand/paint QP/SP and door skins. I'd ask them why they don't try to manipulate the dent and make at least reuse the original fenders etc. Most would say it was easier and faster to do it their way. I'd still hold on to the old parts and practice manipulating the metal, but if I had been able to see this channel when I was still working there and going to school, I think I would have been able to convince the instructor as well as the owner of the body shop I was working at to train me on it. I'm not knocking the other way at all and understand that in certain instances it is definitely needed. However, an alternative is always nice to have.
@@jmackinjersey1 I remember reading about this technique of repairing small dents years ago. This method of dent repair has improved and progressed beyond repairing just door dings.
My first time watching this gentleman...master craftsman... work was truly amazing. Never would believe fixing the panel as he did was even possible... but there it is... Also, praise to Subaru for using a paint and clear coat that stands up to this kind of work being done.
This gonna sound weird, but watching you being a master of your craft is both calming and on the edge nerve wrecking at the same time. Also new subscriber.

This guy's work is incredible! The funny part is he really makes it look easy. The patience and eye for detail is of the charts. The weird part for me is that I get it. Before he even started I thought the same thing about the process. The dent kinda tells you where to start. But honestly never having done this the technique and artistry behind it kinda blows my mind.

@@nedanother9382 Same. I “fixed” my girlfriend’s fender a few years ago - you can still see all the custom hammer marks!
I'm totally with you there.
You have my absolute respect, sir!!!! I just discovered you yesterday and I have already watched 7 of your videos. It is impressive what you do.
I've been doing body work for years and this was absolutely amazing!. I'm throwing away my paint gun to learn this brilliant craft.
This is honestly incredible, I can’t believe what I just watched. Very well done sir! You give the industry a very high bar to meet 🙌
Jack thank you
That is seriously an art, the way this dude does it.
I’ve known for a while now that PDR was being used for say little door dings and minor little bumps here and there. No clue that people were doing dents of this magnitude! Absolutely incredibly work!!!
This is just insane. A true CRAFTSMEN. may you continue to succeed
Gizmo thank you once again
This guy's work is incredible! The funny part is he really makes it look easy. The patience and eye for detail is of the charts. The weird part for me is that I get it. Before he even started I thought the same thing about the process. The dent kinda tells you where to start. But honestly never having done this the technique and artistry behind it kinda blows my mind.
Oh man. Fisrt video of yours that ive seen. I have been doing stuff like this for years on mine and my buddys rides for the simple fact we grown up broke and always trying to flip beat up cars. never has it come out anywhere close to as perfect as this. And I never knew about PDR before this video. I mean we were shovin rebarb with different bends in the end down the quarter panel, fender, and door panel to take most of the dents out of a side swiped pontiac my buddy bought for $250 and we made it look a whole lot better but I didnt realize just how much we were on the right track until now. Please keep posting I am going to absorb and utilize all the information you are so kind to share for free. Thank you. Brain geers fully turnin now! Im excited about this!
Brian welcome to my channel you have a great story
you have experience when a dents not moving and you keep pushing till it comes out
Been a heavy rebuilder for 45 years , I always try to pick first . You Sir , are the master ! I'm really kinda jealous . I'll be back , looking for more .
Respect! Metal stretches (gets longer) when it bends. How you manage to massage it all back to the OEM, die-stamped form, with no paint damage, is epic! Pure talent. Can't read, or write a book on this magic!
Is this legit, or a bunch of camera tricks? Stumped
Easy to fake a video. Don’t believe everything on UA-cam.
I knew a guy like him many years ago. He was an artist, really. He was everyday drunken in the workshop, but his work was phenomenal... ;-)
I’ve been doing PDR for almost 20 years now. You sir are in another class of PDR entirely. 🔥🙌🏼👍🏼👊🏼
How'd you get started?
I'm a new subscriber and I work for a dealership that just got PDR tools, we're learning through a lot of people including you.
This is insane. It looked like a total impossibility, but the metal was forced to surrender to his will, and he makes it look easy. Awesome video. 👍
Metal is liquid
after all.. he is the "Metal Mentalist" LOL
"Every touch, clutch."
Legendary. Can be used for so many things. Had to subscribe!
Rich thank you so much. great comment muchly appreciate it and welcome to my channel
This is extraordinary, clearly a lot of skill and experience on display here
Man, I try to fix small dent and it already took me like 5 hours and it is still not perfect. Huge respect for all this knowledge you put into such repair.
UA-cam recommended this video out of nowhere I watched it all the way through completely amazed you have a new subscriber
Ryan thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel
In the beginning i thought there's no way it can be done ( without the cutting and welding process ). Wow..the result is amazing. With greatest respect for your excellent work.
Frasen Choy thank you for your comment I appreciate it
What a fantastic repair. You would never guess what that panel looked like at the start. Absolutely flawless!
This guy is a magician best I’ve ever seen & I’ve seen plenty in real life (not only videos) #1 hands down a true LEGEND ! Bravo 👏🏻
The only people you want doing repairs, are perfectionists like you. Outstanding job!
True
After 45 yrs working in body shops and from painting to structural repair you have to be the best I've ever seen. I work at a high-end shop in a large city. The wooden glue tabs are genius. I'll be using that idea for sure. Thanks for the lesson.
My dad has a shop, doing work for 40 years, i showed him this and he was like "shiiiieeeeeeeeet, hot damn!"
Ricardo thank you so much for sharing my video with your dad I really appreciate it
Dent man i must say you you are an Ace at this kind of work. I wish i could have such a steady hand but i do not do to a... Car crash yrs ago which makes me right hand
This is nothing short of magic. Outstanding work.
I had no idea this could be done to this level from that extreme of a dent. Incredible. New subscriber here.
This guy is a legend. Respect. Truly craftsmanship
Amazing job! 👍 It's fun to watch an artist like you that pulls this dent so it looks like this quarterpanel never was dented before. Please keep up the good work!
