Good gains. This IS the hot setup for NA power. Had a 3D-printed version on my previous VVT swap. Never dyno'd but the gains were felt after install and retuning the Megasquirt. Intake air temps read by the MS3X were only ever 5-10 deg F over ambient at rest, hot engine.
I might be interested in one for my 94. Yes, I finally bought that local, two owner, no rust, Central FL, 94 Miata. Nice original body & paint minus engine/trans. The original engine/trans (included in the deal) was a basket case. Owner made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Rebuilding the 1.8L (low compression on #3 according to PO.)

Only I have a '99 NB but I,m sure that's not a deal breaker for I'm sure some modifications can be made. I'm really looking forward to see where further development will take it. One thing though, will running the tube/pipe over the radiator not cause the incoming air to heat up? Keep up the good work.
I believe this does work on an NB with no problem, but I haven’t tried yet. The radiator might heat the pipe up a bit, but the stock intake runs right next to the radiator as well, so the difference is minimal. The colder air from the front of the car should also definitely help negate that.

I'd like to put something like this on my car (STS class) since down here in Texas it gets crazy hot when I am racing (105+ ambient this past weekend). However there really isn't any good options like this for a 1.6 car.
I’m thinking you could modify the AFM location and put it sideways right where we have the IAT sensor (metal pipe) and just extend the wires. Although I don’t think this is STS legal. Your best bet might be the weird squire intake extension that some STS guys run. It pushes the intake up really close to the clutch master/firewall.
Sadly we did the Skunk2 install before we really started with the Wednesday videos. We also didn’t dyno just the intake manifold and throttle body. The 150 wheel dyno run was 15 hp higher than without the Skunk2 IM/TB and this intake setup, so that shows really most of what the intake manifold is worth.

I've been trying to talk Joefis Racing to send their intake built through Flyin' Miata but he is dragging his feet for some crazy reason as Flyin' Miata IS LOOKING for People to Partner with regardless if the pieces are 3D printed or Not. Perhaps your guy could get in contact with Flyin' Miata and strike a deal with them. PLEASE let me know what you think of this other guy could get a hold of me as well. Seems to be ok! It has some throttle hang issues here and there, but it’s not that bad from my experience. I only drive it one a week, so Dylan might have other ideas haha.
It’s solid. Still chasing some rev hang with the TB but it’s not bad at all. Also the car feels a bit on off with the gas pedal but I think that’s in large part to how free flowing the intake is.
You would have to extend the wires for your AFM and stuff it between the radiator and the engine block. It’s a tight fit but I think it can be made to work. No promises.
This sounds too good to be true lol. Am I missing something? Nothing else has been done to the engine besides CAI and an intake manifold? 150 WHP is like 60 more than stock.

It’s been around for years, but it’s really hard to find someone who can make one without charging an arm and a leg.

You can get all of the correct pieces out of silicon from siliconintakes.com
Where did you put the MAP sensor?
It runs on speed density, so there’s an IAT sensor in the intake and there’s a vacuum line running to the ECU for manifold pressure.
IL Motorsport has exactly that in production for years

There was a “filter”, but not really. The kit I sell now does have a good filter on it haha.
Good hp gains but a noticeable drop in torque. Interesting maybe needs to be tuned.
Torque peak stayed pretty close.

Does it fit if the car has AC? The AC condenser would be in the area where the pod filter fits.

What inlet manifold are you running?
Skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body.
