Укроп не заменить луком. У укропа другое действие на кишечник. Он успокаивает, снимает спазм и газы. А лук наоборот раздражает, вызывает вздутие, газы. У тех кто имеет проблемы с кишечником.

If you grate the cucumber instead of slicing, and do white wine vinegar instead of lemon, it becomes Greek Tzatziki and you have it with pita bread and falafels. So healthy! I made it today and drank the drained cucumber juice with a shot of lemon, and half seltzer. Zipped me right up.

Cacik is more soupy and the cucumbers are sliced very small. This is more like an actual salad as it has thick yogurt (not much) and mostly only cucumbers. Cacik is often just eaten by itself too with a spoon. This is more like a classic cucumber salad as it’s usually made just like she did & with dill (like she showed). She just added some yogurt to make it creamy.

Dill is not a tropical herb. Here in the Philippines, one can never find dill in the local markets. It is hardly sold even in big supermarkets in Metro Manila - and mind you, I love using herbs when cooking, so I just use what's readily available (whenever necessary): lemongrass, basil, lemon basil, celery, chives, leeks, curly parsley, kinchay, dried bay leaves and driend oregano.
Otherwise, I simply make do with just the basics: garlic, onion, black pepper, chili and ginger.

Yogurt has its origins in Türkiye, but Greek yogurt is a thick yogurt like cream cheese with the whey removed.

В Корее похоже запах чеснока с утра никого не парит. Они же готовят данный салат каждый день. Полезно же для кишечника)

So you basically made cacık without slicing them into tinier pieces like we have in Turkiye as side dish next to our dishes. I agree that its yummy. we have both watery and drier version like you did so watery one is good next to oily dishes and drier version like you do is good next to dishes but also really yummy as spread too!

Hello, I am from Iraq. I saw this recipe, and it is completely identical to Jajik. It is a type of appetizer we have, and it is my favorite. I always make it. I did not expect that dill is very expensive for you. Here we treat it as a natural plant. The important thing is that you try the recipe and be happy.

I like how Asia discovers Balkan and Mediteran recipes. Something we eat regularly is new somewhere else.
"Hard to find dille" - it's not the same without dille. Before dille gets to you very supermarket in Asia you can use finely chopped parsley instead. And ditch the lemon juice. Greek yoghurt is sligtly sour and that's enough.

Yes that's right and you can also put plain yogurt and you can also omit the garlic and put black pepper sometimes. Sometimes I put homemade tomato paste instead of yogurt, it's also delicious, or you can't put parsley or something else, just lemon, yogurt and cucumber, it's delicious and fast

this is a mediterranean classic. you'll find distinct versions of it in greece, turkey and the levant. i grew up with the levantine version, which often uses mint rather than dill, and regular yogurt rather than greek yogurt, but is otherwise just like what you made. in the middle east and generally in the west dill is abundantly available and you buy big fresh bunches of it, not a precious few grams in a sad little plastic package as is found only in a few of the best supermarkets in east asia (in china it would be grown near shanghai and you could order big bunches of it on taobao, but otherwise in china it's the same as what you're finding there in korea). however, i'm not sure why you didn't use the dill you had. it's not quite right with green onion. and i don't think anyone in the mediterranean would eat it on toast. but these are small criticisms. it's impressive to see someone from the far east make this in such an authentic way
