As a hardcore Glock and CZ fan, I just bought an XL last weekend because I was so impressed with it. Sig absolutely killed it with this one. It checks every box with zero sacrifices imo, which is hard to find in a ccw, even harder with large hands. Highly recommend this to anyone.

M It depends on how important width (or lack of) is to you. they both shoot very well, I find the P10s to be easier to shoot well, but it is significantly thicker, which makes a big difference if your a skinny guy and dont want any printing. Cant go wrong with either, if you REALLY dont wanna print at all, go with the Sig.

I just handled a P365XL today - and it fit my hand better than any "smaller" CCW piece I've ever encountered!

The 365 is so damn ergonomic and comfortable to shoot, its like a glock except you dont have to change the sights, trigger or stipple the grip lol

sig deserves mad props for the size efficiency of the 365
I was happy with P365 with the 12rd magazine. I wasn't interested in the P365XL until I shot it. Needless to say it's in my carry rotation.
P365 and P365XL are sweet pistols for sure.
I love my CZ’s, and will keep them, but my 365XL is by far my favorite carry gun.
I've got the p365 and the 365xl. 2500k through the p365 and about 1500k through the 365xl with no issues. The p365xl has changed my mind about carrying a glock 19, and being honest I have not carried a glock since I started shooting the p365. I've got the p320 xcompact too. I like the sigs better than glocks period. I've been a glock owner since 1988.

Glock has to innovate if they want to stay competitive. Most people who carry them at this point for CCW only do so because of the Glock name and track record. Worth something, but they’re definitely falling behind.

The P365 is actually a little smaller than the Glock 43. I've owned both, and kept the Sig. My Daughter now carries the Glock. Both are good, but I just like the 365 a little more.
The 365 is the same size as the glock 42. Its thicker than the 42 and obviously heavier but height and length is the same.
Jay Coy My daughter got my G43 too! LOL. I had the P365 but it was too small. Got the P365 XL AND the G43X. I love them both.

@@Pler1978 I agree. That’s why I sold my 365 and got the XL. Almost lost the 365 because it with the holster flipped around and fell out in my jacket.
I just bought this side-arm without even considering reviews because when I was firing at the range I just fell in love with it. Originally I wanted a Legion, but the ergos, the width, length and the Romeo RD sight it came with; I couldn't say no.

I am a hardcore 1911 guy …. Been carrying them since I joined the Army in 1985. I just bought my first polymer frame, striker fired pistol and it is a SIg P365XL … in no small part due to this review. I’m going to the range tomorrow for the first time with it. I will be shooting a Kimber Custom LW 9mm and the Sig P365XL … clearly two very different pistols. And I have about 1500 rounds through the Kimber, which is my current daily home defense. But I am very excited to see what the P365XL does and how it shoots.

I carried a Taurus P111 for years, then I got a P365 and I like the 365 much better, It's lighter, thinner and slightly smaller then the P111.
Just bought mine today. I fell in love with it when I held it in my hand and bought it on the spot. The amount of upgrades available for it is awesome as well.
What upgrades would you consider???
@@RayDoyouagree Threaded barrel, 21+1 mag upgrade, TLR7-Sub, Holosun 507k, and if you'd prefer a heftier grip then also a grip module to your specific taste. I snagged the X Macro grip mod and built the TacOps uncomped version.

Great review. I have the standard and the XL both and really like the way they shoot although I have slightly smaller groups with the XL. I carry the standard daily with the flush mag. and it is very comfortable to wear.

I love your review on the Sig P365 XL. I have tried them in my gun shop and am going to buy one soon. I handled the Sig P365 about a year ago before the P365 XL came out and the grip was to small for my hands and not comfortable. The P365 XL rectified that problem and feels great in my hands!!! Keep the GREAT review videos and GOOD SHOOTING.

Bought the standard first and fell in love with it, now I own an XL with manual safety as well. I carry both with no problem but the standard with the 10 round is my go to summer clothing type carry where the XL is my winter clothing type carry. Both will get the job done and really the XL could be carried all year around with its slender form factor and it’s the flatter shooter as well. Sig just knocked it out of the park with these guns! Thanks for the honest review brother!!
Just added the Wilson combat grip module to my XL with the tungsten weight kit and the changes were terrific! I’d like to see you review the XL with the W/C grip module and tungsten weight kit Don, I think you’ll love it!
I bought the p365 expecting to hate it. I had a G43. I loved the p365. It’s just right for me. It’s cool that they made the XL because it’ll probably be better for people with wider hands.
Why would you buy a gun that you were expecting to hate?
I’ve owned a P365 for a year and it’s my EDC. I just ordered a P365XL with a Sig Romeo red dot. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Ma'am you made a wise choice. I'm not the biggest 9mm fan around, and prefer the .40. But how can you beat the P365? To have such a concealable little gun is amazing. That's all I carry now. Good luck.

I was finally able to find one a couple of weeks ago. I bought it and now I'm carrying it instead of my G26. Sig finally got it right with the XL. What a really nice gun!!
I agree ! I got one a couple weeks ago and it’s the best choice I could have made. The only problem I had , was choosing to buy it with the Romeo zero, or the normal sights that come on it! Only $100 more for the Romeo version, but I went for the one without . Never really been a red dot guy anyways lol.

Sootch your the best I always watch your videos before I buy a firearm
I am 5' 6" and fit, so I don't have a lot of real estate on me to hide a gun. I carry appendix and was carrying a Remington RM380. Such a small gun disappears on me easily. Carrying the P365XL is not really a big jump. The overall size difference is very small between the two guns. With a form fitting tank top I can still carry the P365XL in front, and with a claw on the holster it still does not print. Having a total of 25 rounds of a larger caliber on me with a back-up mag gives a lot of comfort, compared to a total of 13 rounds when carrying the .380. I love this gun. Fits my hands perfectly, and easy to control.
Nice hat hair!!!! Lol. Love the reviews keep them coming. I love how you are not biased one way or the other. I own a P365 NRA edition and have put over 2,000 rounds through it with no malfunctions.

Hey Sootch great info !!! The XLP365 s extra size seems to tame the gun a little more and just when I almost ready to get one .......... Springfield Armory introduces the Hellcat ....... so I am on hold again !! Please request one soon and compare...... looks like Christmas now for me . Yes man I can’t decide between these 2 guns, I hope the you tubers start dropping side by side comparisons. But truly I’d like to run a couple boxes through each and see which I prefer, I suspect it’ll be a wash.
I was deciding between the two as well, and ended up going for the 365xl for two reasons. Just like the p365 I wouldn’t be surprised if this first gen of the hellcat has some issues. I’m going to wait for any flaws to be addressed before I get one. My other reason is because I like the feel of the 365xl better. I have big hands so the grip made a big difference.
Great video as usual, Sootch. However . . . on facebook live I asked you specifically to compare it to the CZ P-10S (which you said you were going to do - insttead, you opted for the G26) for a few reasons. 1 - both pistols are 12+1 capacity right out of the box. 2 - They both have a great sight picture and are optics ready right out of the box. 3 - These are the two top contenders for when I buy a new belt pistol for when I do get my conceal carry permit. Now perhaps you can do a 1 on 1 comparison of the 365XL and the P-10S before you have to send the Sig back. Thanks again for all you do. Long live the Republic!!!!!

Don, thanks for another excellent review. The original P365 (with the 12 round mag) is a perfect CC option, especially in warm/hot weather. The 15 round mags in a back up capacity complete the package.
Thanks Don! The size of the original P365 is hard to pass up and currently on my belt. It's an easy carry with a solid round capacity.
That's what I'm carrying. P365 with a 12rd mag in the gun and a 15rd mag as a spare. Next month taking a class with our local Sheriff's department using this pistol.

Thanks for this review and for throwing in the Glock 43X & 48 comparisons. I really like my 365 and my standard Glock 43. I switch off with these for CC using a DeSantis Slim-Tuk minimalist holster for each. I'm a short , rather rotund guy and these holsters and pistols sit perfectly using appendix carry for me. I think I'll stick with the Sig 365 carrying the larger mag for back up and the flush mag for carrying. Thanks again. I always appreciate your reviews! You should get the new Springfield Hellcat. Optic ready, more capacity than the 365 XL. Better trigger. Better looking for sure
I like my p365 it fits really good in all my pants pockets, its my everyday carry.
I've put 450 rounds (Sellier & Belliot fmj) through my Sig P365 XL with NO Malfunctions. Love this gun soo far

Around here the price comparison you did between the 365 and the 43 is just the opposite. $499 all day long for the 365, $560 for the gluuck.

@Dream Theory you’re right, I love a flat trigger and I like a red dot on my pistols since my eyesight is not what it was when I was younger. Just got an XL with Romeo red dot. It’s perfect.
Very good review. I have the 365 and the xl and the xl is by far a nicer shooting gun.
The biggest advantage, I see, is that the XL fits the hand without having to add pinkie rests to the base plate and the flat wire recoil spring. The XL is about a half inch shorter than the M&P shield EZ (which I carry in my jeans pocket sometimes) The Sig XL fits even better and has 12 + 1 rounds rather than 8 + 1 My wife can rack the XL but not a Bodyguard.
Shot the p365 it was nice, but with 12 round mag was basically same size mag length as xl. Might as well have xl extra barrel length accuracy, recoil, sight distance. It shot like it was choosing me. Bought it on the spot. Xl was amazing.
I want one for the optic and for use with a suppressor.
I am a huge CZ fan and carried a P10S for over a year. Decided to buy a 365X and carry appendix. Still love my CZ’s but the 365X is lighter and it shoots AWESOME

I just got my CCW and bought the 365 3 days ago. I needed a carry pistol. With nothing else to compare to, I love this little gun! There was an XL laying right beside it for $100 more. I passed on it. In hindsight (20/20), maybe I should of, but I like this lil one. I got a 12 rder on its way. I definitely need to practice! Don't get me wrong, if your on the wrong side of this sucker, you're in deep trouble, but I like to target shoot for further enjoyment than just carry. Wanna get my groups a lil tighter. Idk if 3" is obtainable at 10 or 15yds or not. Time will tell! Great video!

if your used to carrying a G19 or G26 then go with the XL , if your used to carrying the G43 then go with the standard P365, Ive carried both, or carry the standard in summer and the XL in the winter if you live in a state that has a winter. Great review!
Im 175 lbr 5' 11 and the p365XL conceals extremely well in the apendix position.
