I’m halfway through making it!! Doubled the recipe, just made the filling so far and stuck it in the fridge. It tasted DELICIOUS! Finished them!! Came out to 60 sesame balls, they were amazing omg. Thank you fo posting such a good recipe! I did have to add a little water to the dough just because it wasn’t sticking well.
I used this video to make sesame balls today and they came out perfect! I also used your kophiek video the other day to make the noodles and they came out really good! I'm Hmong and I am so happy I've found someone that can make the dishes the way I like them, how my parents, uncles and aunts made them. Thank you!
I’ve been trying a lot of recipes because my dough never comes out right. Made your recipe today for a family gathering. Finally, success! Nice and hollow in the middle with the dough crispy outside and chewy inside. Not one left. Super easy too! Thank you.
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I made many attempts but unsuccessful. Your is the only one of many that I’ve successfully made it. Again, thanks for sharing your recipes with us!
Hi beautiful lady...your recipe are so amazing...i tested it and it really2 comes out so perfectly...thank your for your sharing...for those who want to make it..do it now..because i make and tested so many sesame balls using other recipe only this make me sooo satisfied...luv you n thanks...
I made this for my first try and I passed it taste so much better than the ones I always buy at hmong store. I love it how fresh and crunchy it is! Thank you so much for showing us nyab 5gs how to make these lol
My husband and I just had these yesterday. Store bought. They were so goooooood! Great instructions. Looks like it may be easy enough for me to try! Thank you!
Thank you for this recipe! Heard making sesame balls can be a very dangerous ordeal, but so glad you cautioned that if the fire for the oil is on low medium, shouldn't have issues with them exploding. To my great surprise, none have exploded! Yay! 🎉 It's my first time making this food/recipe, but your directions were simple and straight to the point. Loved your advices throughout the video for getting the best cooked sesame balls. Unfortunately, I do not like any bean fillings for my sesame balls. I made them plain, all rice flour/glutionious flour only. I noticed if you have "no filling"/plain sesame balls, you should cook them longer at 25 minutes instead of 15 minutes, while stirring/flipping them occassionally for even cooking. Otherwise, loved the recipe! Again, thank you so much for sharing it. ✨
This is one of my favorite snack. So much work todo this recipe, well it doesn't matter I have to try to cook sesame ball that will add to my other recipes. Thank you for sharing.

Hi i love you recipe for authentic way of cooking sesame balls! Thank you for sharing your brilliant and inspiring recipe! Stay well and God bless you and your family!😄😁😊
I'm really looking forward to trying out your recipe! I love the tips you gave us, super helpful. And if the rice flour we use isn't glutenous, does that affect the expansion/hollowness of the ball? I have non-glutenous sweet rice flour and baking powder, but I'm not sure which ingredient makes it expand more, or is it both?
Hi beautiful CHerCreations! Thank you for sharing your video with us. I’ve followed your cooking . How do you fries/cooks this balls without popping?! I tried several times and it popped in me.😢
I love these at dim sum and wanted to make them at home. I am single and live alone can i make the dough and will it keep for a few days in the fridge i want to make some sesame balls for the game but that is in 5 days or should i wait and make the the dough that day?
I plan to use this recipe for a Christmas event. Can I possibly prep everything the day before (with the fillings in and all, except the frying part) and fry them the next day? If so, should I leave them out in room temp or place them in the fridge before frying?
You can make the filling a day before and have it all rolled out and place in the fridge. I recommend doing the dough the day of though. It will have a better texture.
I love you this recipe but I need to cut this recipe in half it’s a little bit too much for small family. Also did you say I can use boiled 1/2 cup smashed boiled potatoes? Thank you so much🙏
Can we make this but keep it in the frig than fry it when we wana eat it? I like it fresh and hot. Dont want to fry it all at once cause after a few hours it gets kinda soggy lol
I've eaten 3 so far just this week, I'm craving them so much and plus side, they are gluten free! 😍 I'm gonna make these, they seem so easy to do 😊 And that crisp at the end oouf, what a nice sound! 🤩🤩
Would you know why the balls would explode when you go to fry it? Has that ever happened to you? I had try another person’s recipe and when I went to go fry it, the balls started to explode after about 5 minutes. They’re recipe is similar to yours so thats why I was asking if you knew why? I’m gonna try your recipe next. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes as soon as I dropped the balls into the fryer they sizzled and bubbled right away. I turned the heat down to med and after about five minutes, one by one they blew up in the fryer like bombs. I never knew how dangerous these thing were to make. I tried your recipe and cooked on low and my balls turned out great. YES definitely cook on med to low!
I’ve tried and tried and failed at making sesame balls every time. They burst open and I find myself ducking from the oil splashing and popping. What is going on???
These things are AMAZING!!!! Had them once and omg my mouth just 🤤🤤

I always thought the mung bean was a egg yolk 😂🤣🤣🤣
Glad I’m not the only one.

Might be thinking of another dessert type, I forget the name...

You could always use tarots as filling ❤it’s very nutritious as well 👍

Thank you for sharing your recipe. Can this be air fried?
Thanks for your recipe! Just made some tonight but instead of mung beans, I used fawm kauv filling.
I plan to use this recipe for a Christmas event. Can I possibly prep everything the day before (with the fillings in and all, except the frying part) and fry them the next day? If so, should I leave them out in room temp or place them in the fridge before frying?

Hemmm yummy in indonesia it is called onde onde, thank you for your recipe, always be successful
Very nice your place...
Wow
What type of flour do you use
Happy New years to you and your family. Immune family is from south east Asia too.

Omg I love sesame balls.
My favorite snack!
I'm looking at buying mung bean but none look the same as yours... is there a certain brand?
Perfect😂
Look so good
I love these!
I love you this recipe but I need to cut this recipe in half it’s a little bit too much for small family. Also did you say I can use boiled 1/2 cup smashed boiled potatoes? Thank you so much🙏
Yes you can on the potatoes
did she mention how she makes them keep it’s round shape?? mines do not look round like hers when they cool down.
looks delisious
Looks easy, I'm going to have to make some. Thank you!
Ok definitely going to try, is there a way to make the dough and filling together in the ball a day ahead? Then fry the day of?
These are best to make the day of. They will dry out and crack if you make a day ahead.
Thanks for sharing the recipe. If I use air fryer, how long and what's the temperature should I air fry it ?
I thought she meant that you could reheat it in an air fryer, because I think you need the hot oil for the initial cooking?
With this recipe, Does the sesame ball stay crunchy and round all day ?
1 of my old bf was cambodian. He would bring me these. I just thought of them & i want them soooo bad! Ima make them!
Love you saseme ball sis
Thank you so much for this I’m going to try making this on my own soon!
Thank you for your recipe, I made according your recipe successfully
Wow....so delicious...tq chef
Can we make this but keep it in the frig than fry it when we wana eat it? I like it fresh and hot. Dont want to fry it all at once cause after a few hours it gets kinda soggy lol
No, I don't recommend it since they will dry up and crack. I rather fry then reheat when you want to eat it again.
Can we make this ahead of time, put in a freezer,&fry it only when you have the craving? How long it stay crispy?
I'd fry them and store in the freezer. I wouldn't fry them raw since they will dry up and crack. They usually stay crispy for 2-3 hrs
We do make sesame balls in India but with jaggery and jaggery syrup as well...try our recipes too...love from India
I've eaten 3 so far just this week, I'm craving them so much and plus side, they are gluten free! 😍 I'm gonna make these, they seem so easy to do 😊
And that crisp at the end oouf, what a nice sound! 🤩🤩
Doesnt the green bag of rice powder have gluten in it though?
@@MyLady22 no glutinous just means stretchy but it doesnt have gluten
Delicious 😋
Will try to do that

The oil was probably up too high. Did you notice your oil heating up too high?
Yes as soon as I dropped the balls into the fryer they sizzled and bubbled right away. I turned the heat down to med and after about five minutes, one by one they blew up in the fryer like bombs. I never knew how dangerous these thing were to make. I tried your recipe and cooked on low and my balls turned out great. YES definitely cook on med to low!
@@evelynstar9448 Yes, that's one of the reasons why they pop is because the oil was too hot. I'm glad to hear it worked out for you this time.
Thank you for the recipe. It came out great!😄😄
I’ve tried and tried and failed at making sesame balls every time. They burst open and I find myself ducking from the oil splashing and popping. What is going on???
Make sure the filling is fully covered (touching) with the dough without any airpockets. Airpockets within will cause your sesame balls to burst.
We have something like that too in Indonesia. It's a traditional food called "onde onde".
