I always feel bad that I don't know how to cook or make more hmong food or just southeast Asian food, but then I realized that I was just never taught either. So thank you thank you. Your efforts don't go unnoticed

I thought the same too but it’s actually very simple once you make it. I don’t really like fillings in the middle so I stick a couple of mini marshmallows in the middle to make the sesame balls hallow. Give it a try. You’d be surprised.

Do you know how to make the red bean ones? Especially for a hmong touch.
I have to do this recipe for my mom. She's a huge fan like your mom.

Your recipe looks simple. I tried making this with a different recipe, made a huge mess in the kitchen and the balls didn’t even turn out. It was pretty sad because it’s time consuming.

Dun worry if you say roll it with your palm, people usually relate it with the ones in your hand.

My sesame balls always pop no matter what recipe I’ve tried. At this point, I’ve given up. I do love watching others post their recipes.

When you are forming the dough around the filling, you need to make sure there is no air trapped between the filling and the dough. Any air pocket present will grow and explode due to steam build up as the sesame balls cook.
