great job on the jerky Taku! my daughter and i have been bonding over mushroom foraging and went out a few weeks ago here in Ontario, Canada. we found many honey and lobster mushrooms. We made a hotpot with them and also she has a dehydrator and processed them that way. what a delicious free treat that means so much more when you can find and cook them yourself with the ones you love :)

Many thanks for another great production! You are truly blessed to have the King Boletes as plentiful as that where you are; I have only found a few in the 50 years I have been gathering mushrooms where I live. Lots of Chanterelles and Morels which I have been dehydrating for many years. I will take the dried mushrooms and run them through a food processor, turn them into a powder and mix that into fresh pasta dough. Makes awesome pasta! Best wishes for the two of you in the Holiday season and the coming New Year.

Great found! Awsome foraging! In Poland we dry them outside on fresh air, put them on sunshine. I personally put them on a wicker plate. After they are dryout we use them with meat to flavour the meat and gravy and of course we eat then with the meal. Nice video :)))

nice, dude. when you're in Santa Barbara again look me up. I still have avos and pink lemonade lemons and arugula for you any time you want to drop by. There's also a nursery right here (la sumida) that has a grip of organic seeds, and I have my own collection. It's all less than 2 minutes off the Patterson exit off the 101, within 6 minutes of goleta beach/pier, so if you're in the area lemme know and we can do a quick hand-off, or go fishing (I have 2 surf kayaks and there's the pier). I do have a safe driveway with charging too if you ever need that. A lot of people avoid this area because of the "no overnight sleeping in a vehicle" laws but it's mellowed some, and you wouldn't need to worry about that in my driveway. I'm still waiting for that seaweed salad with the fresh "sea lettuce" (Ulva) if you can find it in a clean spot! Happy hunting! oh btw way "mushroom HUNTING" is the term, to differ from tripping... heh. My godfather was a hunter, and one of his best friends is my old bio teacher from city college, who now runs tours sometimes (after rain), foremost authority in mitochondrial science in at least this area, so if you want to link up with him I can reach out but that will take time and RAIN. peace, see you tuesday.
