The lyrics it alway sounds to me like is talking about matrix, we are all one, part of the same future machina the álbum name and cover digimortal too. And we Will never ser the end to the Dreams the machine put into us, thats the depresión part of the lyric. Like if you saw matrix movie, the song appears to be sing by someone connected into it
Fear Factory is beast as fuck. Industrials best band in my opinion. Because you actually feel like your in another universe with all these machines around you and it's just bad ass. I also love the double bass in this song it sounds like a machine it's self. I need to learn to play like that.

This one I liked but it was definitely different because it just oozes “y2k” vibes. And similarly you can hear Archetype has an extremely “post-9/11” feel to it.

Fear factory was way way ahead of their time.. Their style and instrumentals were unique but they always maintained that heaviness and metal sound even with the fusion of electronic music to fill the gaps. To me fear factory sounds fuller and I really enjoy the thumping bass on a good pair of earphones.
I slept on Fear Factory for way too many years. I'm just now fully appreciating Bells "soft" vocals over the heavy music. Gives it this righteous edge to the metal.
