Lyrics:
Corrosive
Tainted by my sin
I'm spilling blood
And I can hardly contain it
Corrosive
Hallowing the hand
Stiffened
I eat away
Eat
Eat into the surface
Yeah, you push it
Yeah, you push it
Yeah, you push it
Explosive
More violent more violent
All consuming
Throbbing
Straight to the circle
Explosive
Move on reaction
I slow it down
I slow it
Down down down down
Yeah, you push it
Yeah, you push it
Yeah, you push it
I see it, I need it
I see it, I need it
My mind is corrosive
I trip on corrosive
I freak
See through me
My eyes are explosive
I feed on it
Black out
Crucify me
Yeah, you push it

Anyone still listening to this in 2023-2024?
Me!!!
Of course
Me
Discovered in 2023 and still listening in 24, don't worry brother good metal will never die
Yeah Dude
I just found this band in 2024! Who's jealous I get to listen for the first time? So damn good!
welcome to the new yet old
lol I just found this band yesterday myself and I've listened to this song more than 10 times already.
They're on tour right now, if you like 'em a lot you should see if they're coming to your region
@@bibbyshibby just doesnt seem right without wayne static to see static x.
Nah we look it up for fun. Cause i wish power man 5000 stuck.
Met Wayne at a Motocross jump contest in Vegas. There wasn’t a full crowd as most people were over watching the bikes. Loved the music. The mosh pit was bare enough to have my son in it on my shoulders. After he performed we congratulated him on the great music. He said he just signed a record deal and gave us a tape recording of his music. Wasn’t even labeled. Just a blank tape that had recorded music on it. He was so super nice and polite to my husband, son and I. I hope he rests in peace. My husband is also now long gone. That day lives on as a great memory of mine
Wonderful story
@@arvydas0069 thank you

Man hard to believe this song 20 years ago turned me onto static x and I'm still a big fan to this day. Rip Wayne, you're sorely missed
I feel the same way
I cant believe all those great records from the 90's are 20-25 yrs old now.
I know this is like classical music and stuff

Same 1st heard it on "Duke Nukem: Land of the babes" lol
Very much missed indeed
anyone else still listening to this😳
You bet 😁
Absolutely
Same
Of course
Ofc
I miss Static-X.
R.I.P Wayne Static.
Just know you are a VERY fond memory of my high school days and I still love your music to this day.
That cat died? Oh man.

@Faith Fuldeeds
whaaa?!?
tron cohle19 cool
What happened?
Remember when music this heavy was regularly on the radio? lol those were good times.
Never cared for nu metal but I absolutely loved Static X and Spineshank (I felt that both bands were more industrial metal than nu metal actually)
Still relevant as ever and forever part of my teenage years.
Spineshank will always be known as the music at the best part of Freddy vs Jason to me.
Everyone in this band looks like a custom character from a Tony Hawk game.
I love that
So they should.
This song sounds like it would be in a pro skater game
LouieTheGreat Actually this song appears in a Skate game named Street Sk8er 2 for PSX.
@@spectrum9441 Was Sk8er 2 any good? I remember the demo for the first Sk8er being awful compared to THPS.
Got into Static-X just about a week ago, can't get this song off of loop now. Wish I found it sooner, RIP Wayne
Dude same here. Started getting hooked since they're touring with rob zombie.
You got a lot of music to catch up on. Every song they made was a banger

This is a highly underrated comment
and let's not forget their other song "Love Dump" for those days when you might need a little extra motivation
#bestcommentever LMAO
was lucky enough to see them live once. Wayne sounded exactly the same live, as on the album. you sir will be missed.
Joe Bryant I saw them open for Godsmack in 01-02 I immediately liked them
Awesome. I saw them at house of blues in Orlando, great show.
Joe Bryant same here. been a favorite since my freshman year in high school (2000) those days are long gone. but I'm glad I got to see a favorite before he cashed out :(
Sounded exactly the same live.
I respectfully disagree. I saw Static X live in 2004 and they sounded even better live! Few bands can say so. They were the opening act for Korn, and I can totally say Static X was even better than them. Rest in glory WAYNE!
Never heard of Static X until today. WOW! How did I miss this? Freaking awesome!!!
I've been listening to these guys more than 20 years and LOVE THEM!
This should be the soundtrack playing in all delivery rooms.
Lmao!
Haha fuck you broke me!
The 2nd verse is definitely diarrhea.

You are in highschool, going through the motions of freshman year, wading through the stereotypes as you try to make it to the end of the day. You get home, exhausted and pour yourself a Mnt.Dew, and turn on Mtv. Total Request Live with Carson Daily comes on and you see that Static-X is in the top 5. You then go on your computer to launch Napster and load your new online game, EverQuest. Life is good.
Replace mtn dew with surge and Everquest with Ultima Online and that was me.
Yeah, I do feel like those days were optimal, in retrospect. I think the last time the world was *that* carefree was that year in which dubstep got really popular. It was downhill from there, barring that brief period in which Pokemon Go was at its peak and everyone was walking around all happy.
Tony Hawk 2 for me. God I miss the late 90s.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wayne backstage after a show at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. He was such a great guy.
First bus I ever got on. I was 18 and lame and they were so gracious and cool to us
you lucky!!
I grew up in Pawleys Island, SC which is south of Myrtle Beach & I went to that show as well at the HOB in North MB, SC. Great show from an amazing frontman & the band as a whole was on point! Didn't get to hang out with them but I did manage to Get Wayne & Tony to sign my copy of WDT by waiting outside behind the HOB where bands load in & out. They were really cool about interacting with those of us that were waiting by their bus. I wish I'd been a little older bc I may have been able to hangout but I was only 16 at the time & had school the next day. RIP Wayne & Tera

Hate to burst your blimp but this is industrial metal
@@testiclegaming810Hate to burst your blimp but this is not Industrial Metal it Nu-Metal because the band brought a lot of Industrial and Alternative Metal to their Nu-Metal sound
Apparently it’s frowned upon and I grew up listening to Nu-Metal when I was 10 years old
@@testiclegaming810 Nu-metal is literally a blending of various alt metal genres....funk metal, rap metal, industrial metal, along with elements of electronica and hip hop. Static-X were deemed to be a nu-metal band that strongly leaned more towards industrial (just like limp bizkit leaned more towards rap metal/hip-hop). Nu-metal is more a catch-all term for bands from the mid-90s-mid 00s that had elements of the aforementioned genres, and that made it hard to label them as any one of those genres.
