Thanks! Very informative. I like that you explain the reasons behind why you choose the different brushes. That is what I was missing from other tutorials out there.
You're an extremely good teacher. Kindly keep making sculpting, Retopology and rigging workflow videos. And also if you can explain remesher in the newer version.. thanks
Great video. I like it that you are fast. If I need to review something I just go back a bit or slow video down in that particular action. Then return to fast again.
im trying this and when i click the Dyntopo and click on the object to draw, it turns the subdivided object back into a cube. theres no "Apply" button when i use the subdivision surface modifier.
Hi I am a total beginner and can't figure out how you apply the same brush to different sides at the same time. at 3.50 you draw one thing but it appears as you apply two. How do you do that. Hope I could explain my problem.
I sculpt cartoony head models for ventriloquist dummies. How can I add two straight lines one each on either side of the mouth and parallel to each other, to indicate where to cut the jaw out of the model? Thank you.
ran into the same problem myself. just press ctrl + a, after changing the settings to 3. crtl +a is a apply command there. or just go right above that are and click on the arrow down and it shows the apply option.
right in the beginning when he does the subdivide , there is no apply button , u have to trigger the drp down menu next to it and hit apply...👍 or u get stuck w a cube wire frame still ....
I've noticed that the smoothing with shift strength isn't relative to the strength of the current brush, It's relative to the actual smoothing brush strength.
I know I'm like 5 months late but if anyone sees this you're welcome. (Edit) I'd also like to say that this may only be an issue that I've been experiencing.
I need help. When I'm trying to sculpt it doesn't work, they aren't moving. Am I supposed to buy a graphic tablet or IDK what to do? Can anyone help me?
When I generate the head, the mesh is split. Looks like I select almost exactly at the middle of the mesh, can't get a similar result as you, but, I think I need more practice...
I notice that when you mention change the "relative detail" to "consant detail", I didn't get the same result, so, I leave the option "relative detail" and I get a better result - still, not the same as you, but, small steps are done.
I notice that the brushes has an option called "Enable tablet pressure sensibility" > next to the "strenght, radius, etc" options. For the "Clay Strips" brush, keep the strength at 1 and unchecked the "Enable tablet pressure sensibility". For the other brushes, changed as you try. Example: I leave the "Crease" with the strength option to tablet pressure enabled.
Grab the top left corner, near the "Editor Type", and just pull it to the right (or downwards), and to close just right click between the windows, select join and click the window you wanna close
If you're sculpting humanoids it's really helpful but just having some references to compare your work with should help. Really having references is probably the most helpful thing but give your self a small course in anatomy you can find videos on UA-cam for that
Not necessarily it’s definitely better to understand the anatomy so you know what comes next but the more you practise the more you will know it. Just have some references

@Bithiah Ogazi I think G is Grab. If you notice the circle sticks to the mesh as he moves around the mesh which shows exactly what will be grabbed when he selects G.
Hi, I have several problems too, in my case i had to check the mesh we need enough vertices, that's why he used the tool "Draw" at first, to subdivide the mesh, then I also had to Apply Scale (ctrl+A > Scale), then check the normals too go to edit mode, select all with "A" and Ctrl+n, check if you have a modifier without apply and if you have it, press "Apply". After all this I finally get to work and it went great!
Slow it down then. You have that 3 dot thing on the channel of UA-cam and that's where you also have the Play Speed, Resolution and Closed Captions in the right hand of the screen and take it from there. Hope that helps.

Maybe use dropbox
google drive, dropbox, mega, things like that
thingiverse?
Art station. It's where you can upload more than just the blend file.
Sketchfab?

How is yours so smooth? When I grab and drag, it's always jagged in certain spots of the elongated piece.
Just check the option on Dyntopo. After check the dyntopo, make sure to check "Smooth Shading" inside of dyntopo

How do you use mirror tool and dyntopo at the same time? Seems like you had mirror tool from the beginning?
toolbar (right menu) --> active tools -> symmetry and mark it.
