I purchased mine 9 months ago on May 1 2021 and today Feb. 21 2022 it burned out. I’m very disappointed in it and that DeWalt has not fixed the problem. There are so many cases like mine out here. Only way to fix it is to get a new motor. Place like Home Depo will replace the saw straight up but only if they have one in stock. DeWalt Service will tell you that you need to ship the saw to their service center and in a few months you should get your saw back, it might actually cost you $300 if they decide that it was your fault why it broke in the first place.

Good vid! She really shines w/ the 9 & 12 ah batteries! 6ah isn’t optimal for me personally/half day if that. Buy the Kapex hold down clamp and a top of line blade & bang bang boogie! Then she truly shines! Very bulky & heavy yup! I believe the difference in sound is bc direct current vs alternating current, the electrons flowing different cause a different noise in the motor or something like that. Some1 told me that bc I questioned it when I got mine. No I never use that little switch lol I just do the... lock it!? 😆 I’ve cut That fence too many times 🤦🏽‍♂️

There is actually a way to loosen and tighten the rails so that you can add or remove resistance of sliding.
    Steps:
    1) Completely unscrew and remove the slide rail lock knob.
    2) you will see another hole right next to where the knob screws in. In that hole, there is a star drive set screw.
    3) Buy tightening or loosing that screw, you can adjust the resistance.
CAUTION: Be careful while messing with that set screw. If you loosen it too much, you will add slop in the rails.

I’ve had this saw for over a year, and I love it! I agree with the sliding on it tho. It has a little bit of resistance. The Dewalt 7 1/4 has a smoother slider. I wish they do a refresh with the 20v 7 1/4 and make it a duel bevel. That’s the only thing it’s lacking I think. But again love the content man! Keep it rolling brother man!

I think it is cool that a person can go between battery or cord. A person could get two and have two cords just in case something happens to one, and enough battery’s to rarely die. I am thinking about doing that when I get my business big enough to need two.

The ONLY 120V tool they have. I'm a little disappointed they haven't made a 120V 10" or 12" table saw. For now I have to rely on my powerstation. Batteries-wise, a couple 9s or 12s would give a better performance for energy output. I'd love them to come out with a BL upgrade to the 7-1/4

Mine Leaks OIL. I have the non-sliding version of this saw. After about 20 cuts, I noticed oil on the wood. I called Dewalt, they said a little is normal... But it now appears to be a continuous leak. Called back, They told me to ship it back to them. Not sure how I’m going to pack it securely, we’ll see.. Otherwize, it did cut well.

3:11 I don’t own this saw, but have used/tested, & this in one of those “nitpicky” features that wish was “better”.
4:15 For the clamps.....not sure I’ve found any miter saw that “has a good clamp system” out of the box w/o some modifications, lol.
5:45 Far as the slicing n dicing (comparing this to using the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 12” Miter saw 2739-20), don’t like the Milwaukee’s “Dust Boot” on their saw, kinda gets in way; & afraid gonna break it, lol.
Banjo music & “voiceover”, like I always say LOVE your reviews & the “interesting, playful, fun” ways you create them for us 👍🏻
Unfortunately, there just isn’t a “PERFECT” Miter saw out there, just gotta choose the one that best “fits/suits” you & what you’re happy with (especially if it’s a money maker).
    Cheers✌🏼

Well like on many sites cordless tools are very very convenient yet do require electricity to charge. So I'm guessing the idea of this is for flash people that really want the option. Maybe you're having to move your saw around or you're just finishing a job, you can quickly set up and not get the power lead out. You'd still have to have a charger to the mains, but maybe it's at a charging station with mains. For most people this set up is pointless for most. Doesn't look like it works better than the corded equivalent. The corded literally forces your hand upward on the handle with the power.

To my understanding, if Dewalt use standard cord then they have to put extra electric components into the saw motor which makes the saw slightly bigger and heavier. In fact, the cordless feature is the standard setting of this saw, and the corded function is an extra add-on.

I have one! Had 2 of them in my career. The problem am having is that the bevel angel is not true to 0 degree or 45 degree ... or any degree. Is about 5mm out. Anyone has this problem? As I am! And it’s driving me crazy!?

You came adjust the bevel with the wrench that it comes with. Look in the manual and it will tell you how to do it

Tool Review Zone yes I have done that few times and still the same problem. DEWALT has replaced it for me with a brand new one and still same problem... so but confused 🤷‍♂️

You need to get it to 0°/90° then adjust the little red arrow on the scale so that it reads 0. After you get it to 0 you can then adjust for 45, both left and right. Make vertical test cuts then check with a good square. Make sure you run your square on the edge that was sitting on the table them run it up the side that you cut.

Seems dewalt did not really put a lot of thoughts into making it all work flawlessly no matter how you use it. And you pointing them out all the flaws had just steer me away from buying it because it is just not worth the investment.
