I don’t don’t tell people who use a sewing machine that it doesn’t count as hand made anymore since they aren’t hand sewing. Same should apply for knitting machines!
Yes!!! My thoughts exactly!!!❤️
I thought of that same point exactly! You’re absolutely right
Ok I agree it’s a tool but ya totally added Pom by hand and label 😀
You’re helping work up my nerve to use my Addie, Thank you!! I will be using your video to guide me through the process. And I agree, that hat is handmade. Enough needle work for sure to make it so 😉 My goal is to have my first market in the Spring of 2024. And your encouragement is a big reason I’m heading that way 😊 Thanks ☺️
Its a learning curve and you gotta know how to do your tension. I tried hand knitting and it just doesn’t work for me so this is a way of knitting 😊
Thank you! After watching this episode, I bought a machine and wirhin 4 hours of receipt, I'd unboxed it, put it together and knit 3 hats! I'm also super glad you showed the part about adding extra waste rows. Takes a few minutes longer, but is SO much easier than accidentally dropping stitches when binding off the way the machine's instructions suggest. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I'm so glad you're enjoying your new machine!! :)
I need to tell you, I look so forward to your videos on Fridays! I crochet, but just for myself not for sales, and enjoy every video. Thank you always being so upbeat and happy and sharing all that you do!
This just made my day! So glad you enjoy them, I have so much fun making them!🥰❤️
You are the best crochet tutorial teacher. Your very clear and it is so easy to learn from your teaching style. There is some amazing crochet artists out there but often I don’t get what they’re try to say. But you always have your camera placed in the right spot so it is so easy to see what your doing
Would love to see a tutorial on your new born beanie with the ears or the two pom poms
Thanks for all your very hard work 😊
Thank you so much for the kind words! :) I have some more tutorial ideas coming in the future, so stay tuned! ❤️❤️
I have off-brand ones but I have one the same as the king size and two of the express size. I love my machines and love how quick they are to make headbands and beanies. Definitely a great addition for market stalls for quick makes if low on stock as well ❤️
I totally agree!:) what brand is the off-brand?:)
First time machine user here, I got this knitting machine for my birthday and I was having trouble figuring out how it works. Thank you for such a simple tutorial. I'm happy to say I got it on the first try! I can't wait to keep practicing and work my way up to more complex projects!!
this was super helpful!!!! i messed up halfway through and ended up making a realy cool scarf instead! now i can give all kinds of stuff to my friends because of this video
This got to be the best tutorial for casting off. I made 2 hats already using your method. First one it was a mess so I had to rewatched your video. Second and third time was perfect. It did take me over half hour but not bad for just learning to use my Sentro. Thank you 🎉❤
❤️ I'm so glad I can help! As you use your Sentro for a while, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! :)
Thankyou. I just made my first project, a double layer hat. Thankyou so much. It,s my first successful project on my Sentro.
I didn't use the tension thing, Just let the yarn flow between my thumb and forefinger.
I am saving up for an Addi.
I would love to see a comparison video of the two different knitting machines!
Sounds good! :)
Oh WOW! Im brand new all this, and after purchasing my Addie, I haven't really known how to use it. Thank you for the easy-to-follow tutorial. :)
I'm so glad it was helpful! I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get some time with it :)
I’m just going back to some of your older videos now u til a new one and I’m so fortunate to see this one. I watched the comparison so I don’t think I will waste money on the Sentro(I read the comments). I never used one of these but it looks like fun.
If you have the option, I absolutely recommend the Addi!!
Love love love this tutorial!!! Finally the trigger I needed to order the Addi ❤
Rachel from Good Day Crochet Co.
Awwww so glad you loved it, Rachel! You would love the addi machine! It’s a lot of fun :)
I was thinking about this the other day. The sewing machine is exactly what I thought of.
Right!?❤️
Really pretty beanie Camryn, thank you for sharing!! I just saw a woman's video the other day where she made 5 "baby sized" Addi machine hats and attached them to create an adult hat!! It seemed like alot of steps but the finished product came out pretty!!❤️
Wow this sounds so interesting! I’ll have to check that out:) glad you loved the video!!!
@@camryns_cute_creations Good morning Camryn, hope you're well!! Btw, this is the video I mentioned by Alina Hera Designs. It's interesting how she attached them, and the edging she made!! You can't even tell it's 5 hats attached, it looks cozy and I hope to try it, hope to see if you do as well!! Have a blessed day Camryn!!❤️🥰🙏🏼 ua-cam.com/video/DyYuABspB-Y/v-deo.html
Go bestie! Work that machine 💅🏼💕😌✨🧶
Heck yea🥰🤩😂❤️
I got obsessed with my addi and after joint Knitting machine queens on FB, I ended up getting all of the other knitting machines too. I just got the i cord and have to try that one.
I haven’t heard of that one!!! You’ll have to let me know how it goes for you:)
I use the elastic to make the pom poms removable - I put a button inside and fasten the elastic to it, that way you can take it off to wash the hat.
Great idea!!!❤️
I use a sentro and it is fussy with certain yarn and there is a trick to run your yarn through a dryer sheet of choice and helps it go smoothly lol but thank you for the tutorial of how you put your poms on ❤
Great tip! Excited to try it out next:)
I find #3 weight yarn works best or a thin #4 in the knitting machines. 👍🧶
Can't wait for the comparison video!
I can’t wait too!🤩❤️❤️
Love your tutorial. Ty.
Love mine and my screw drive attachment works great.
I've heard many great things about that attachment!
❤great video you make it look so easy thank you ❤
You’re welcome 😊
So cute. Ty for sharing.
Ty for hanging out!❤️
Love your mindset ! Yes comparission video please
You got it! :)
Thank you so much ❤
I am inspired
❤️❤️ :)
I just got the sentro! I would love a comparison video
Same❤
Yesss you’ve got it:)
I grabbed on the zevtbye version of the sentro machine. I love it. Would like to see a comparison between the affordable toy version vs the Abbie.
Coming soon!:)
I do leatherwork but this was very satisfying to watch. Cool to see how hats are made very enjoyable video to watch. Where can we purchase these?
So glad you enjoyed this! My shop is currently not up as I’m building more inventory, but when it is, you can purchase on my website camrynscutecreations.com
I would so love to crochet full time.
I think that's an awesome goal to have!! Can I ask what steps you envision taking to get there? :)
Thank you for this! Where can I find the tools you used to mount it to the table?
Thank you for the video it was great. It would be nice to compare your machine and other budget-friendly versions. I also bought your pricing calculator but had to start making up pricing for my pieces because in my area crochet doesn't sell very expensive.... or people don't want to pay. Eventually I will need to start a page to sell my stuff.
Love this tutorial! I can't wait to get my own Addi to try making these cute hats! Would you link where you get your logo labels from? They're so cute and customized so perfectly!
I order those off of Etsy! Here's the link to those: www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
thank you for the very in depth tutorial! your hat turned out amazing. Can I ask how and where you have your leather tags made?
Hey there! I'm glad the tutorial was a big help! Here's the link for the leather tags that I use!: www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
Love this
❤️
Very nice! ❤ TFS!
Of course!💖💖
Hi.. so cute.. where do you get your little label tag???
Do you suggest getting the row counter too?
Love the tutorial! So easy to follow! Where did you get your tags from for the beanies?
I actually order those off of Etsy! Here's a link to their page :) www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
Cute. I have a sentro machine it’s great. Love the poms . Where do you get your cute tags?
So awesome! I get those from Etsy:)
I think using the addi is just fine. I think what wouldn't be fine is if you lie to ppl, or lie by omission/try to hide it. I sell my knits, all hand knit. I'm looking into the addi because I had a fellow vendor who sells his screen print clothing approach me about partnering with him to make beanies that he could sell with his patches etc. I think there's totally a place for knitting machines!
I totally agree! And I think we should be honest when someone asks about the process of making something that used this!
And it's so awesome that your fellow vendor approached you! :) That's an exciting possibility!
Hi I have the addi express king but i am having problem with the chank it makes a lot of noise and it get stuck when i try to work it around i am new at this and i do need help can you please suggest what i should do i love your video i will subscribe i love love your energy
I think it’s a great tool. Still by hand. Try cranking with your feet😊
Also good for people with arthritis.
That's a great point!
Would you recommend if you wanted to use velvet on this machine to actually have tight tension as opposed to where you were saying, barely holding it so that it wouldn’t worm
I just bought one a cheaper lets see cant wait to start, thank you
That's so exciting!! :) I'd love to hear what you think of it!
Loooove thiiiis😍
I’m so glad!🥰
Addi comparison video please!
Yesss you’ve got it!🥰❤️
I can crochet very fast and I am always proud of what I produce.
On the other hand, if I try to knit it usually makes me so frustrated that I want to cry. But I’m pretty sure I bought a knitting machine (…25 years ago) and I don’t think I ever went back to it. That was a straight line back and forth, not a circle.
I’m wayyyy faster at crochet than I am at knit too!!!
HEY Camyrn! Great tutorial !! Thanks for making it!
H 11” W 7” BEFORE you roll it up. What does your Beanie measure AFTER you roll up the bottom? (To make the cuff where your tag goes)? THANKS!❤
I’ll have to go double check on this! So glad you love the tutorial!❤️❤️
@@camryns_cute_creations ok thank you
! I really appreciate you doing that!
@@camryns_cute_creations hi did you check the measurement of the beanie? Thanks!
I’m hoping to buy this machine really soon. What age hat does this size make? I’ve tried to see where you mentioned the age.
What is the yarn thickness and what kind of material is it? I can't open the website because it's blocked for Germany ;)
Acrylic Medium Weight:)
I loom knit hats and scarfs the machine is just like the circle looms
Love that word re fluffafy
LOL thank you😂❤️
Where do you get your tags from? Even blank tags?
I have never used a knitting machine but have been considering one. Do you use the king for baby-adult size beanies or do I need to have different size machines for each size?
So I’ve actually been able to make a bunch of sides on this machine with rows & tension! Maybe I’ll have to make a spectate video on how to do that:)
@@camryns_cute_creations this would be great! Im considering on purchasing a machine and thought i'd have to get all different sizes to make baby-adult
@@camryns_cute_creations yes please! Before I buy a machine 🤣
How did you arrive at the hat length?
Hat is beautiful
I wish you would wear one on one of your video chats
Just to see how 115 row look on a head
I'll make sure to pop it on in one of my upcoming videos!
How much do you sell these for? Can you post where you get the tags super cute! tks
I get the tags on Etsy! here is the link! www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/ I sell mine for $28!
Can I ask why u haven't started with first black pin instead of in middle of pins please.many thanks x
It doesn’t seem to matter too much where you start:)
Where do you get your custom tags that you sew onto the beanies?
I actually order those off of Etsy! Here's the link to the ones I use: www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
What size is the machine? Can you do both adult/kids and babies using this one? Please could you do a comparison with a cheaper option. You give me so much inspiration x
Yes of course! Comparison video coming soon! This is the King Sized Addi machine :) You can make different sizes with it by using different tension!
@@camryns_cute_creations thanks lovely x
Interested!
Hi Camryn can you tell how you make the 2 colored beanie? Your work is awesome 😊
I've actually never done multiple colors on here before! But I can definitely play around and make a tutorial for that!:)
Sounds great 😊
Can I do this same thing using the sentro 48 needles? I just bought one and it arrived today
If it is the same size, it should work!
@@camryns_cute_creations ok thanks!
What size hat is this meant for (115 rows). Thanks! Adult?
What size pom poms do you use?? You make such cute stuff.
Thank you so much! I use 10cm poms!
I have one from Amazon but have difficulty casting off ?? Any tips plz xx
I haven't had issues with this yet but let me know exactly is happening and I can try to give some pointers! :)
Hi. New to your channel and just watched this video. I only know how to crochet, but this machine blew my mind! Ifninwerebtonlook for one, that wasn't Addi and over $450CAD, what would I need to know?)
Sizes?
Width/circumference?
# of hooks?
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to thise machines. Any help and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🇨🇦
Hi! Totally:) I linked the exact one I got in the description:) it’s the King sized addi!
Guess I'll have to make a bunch of small stuff and save up a lot for one. They are so expensive here in Canada 🇨🇦
Can this machine make a cabled hat?
I bought an addi and have never slowed down I have beane's and scarfs for Autumn , winter , spring.
Can you please make a video talking about different size beanies with this machine?
I haven't tried any of their other sizes yet, but if I do, I will certainly make a video!
What’s the biggest size knitting machine available 😊
Can i use the 48 pegs? I think this it out of my budget
I haven't tried that one! But you could definitely make child-sized hats with that one, I assume!
Do you sell the knitting machine and crochet beanies for the same price?
What size would this hat fit
Would love an addi comparison video! Hook us up!
Yesss you’ve got it:)
I see what you did there 😉
Would I be able to use Red Heart super Saver yarn? I’ve heard these machines are picky about what yarn to use 🧶
I was gifted a bunch of red heart and want to make beanies to donate to the needy in our area, I’m hoping I can find a machine that’ll take Red Heart yarn 🙏🏼
I haven't tried it with that yarn yet! If it's a similar weight I'm assuming it would work! But sometimes the machines can be picky, so I'd test it out! :)
@@camryns_cute_creations Thanks ☺️ I’ll try it out! Wish me luck!! 😍
Is that the Addi express king with the 46 needles? I just see it says Addi express
Yes it’s the king size!!!
Hey, just a question about the pom-pom, is that real fur or synthetic?
The poms are faux fox fur!
How do you sew on the baby velvet tags? The thread won't go through the little holes.
If it's really giving you grief, I would suggest trying a smaller thread of a similar color!
@@camryns_cute_creations Thanks, I got some heavier floss and that worked. I love your videos and your enthusiasm. It's addicting in a great way. You inspire me!
Where do you get that tags w/your name on it??tks Ann
I actually order them off of Etsy! Here's a link to who I get them from: www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
How do you change colors and around what row?
I haven’t tried changing colors on here yet!
I’m a hand knitter. But I also have an Addi! I could hand sew, but no one complains my items aren’t hand made if I use a sewing machine or overlocker!!!!!!
People say ridiculous things. I don’t listen to them. And I don’t tell people about my fabulous Addi 😂😂😂
Where do you get your tags?
Etsy! Here’s link! www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/
So you charge $28 for the addi beanies and $45 for the chenille ones?❤
Yes right now those are my prices:)
Hey I'm new to your channel but I would love to see a comparison video 😊
So awesome! I totally want to do this:)
I have not yet bought any machine. This is me, doing my research.
1. Can any type of yarn be used?
2. Can two different yarns be used?
Thank you
So long as the yarn size fits, it can be used, but to varying degrees of quality. Velvet yarn, for example, tends to worm and get torn up. And you can add in another yarn, you just have to enter it into the chain in a certain way to make sure it hooks!
Hey Camry Suloa Here from S&J creations and I love your tags on your beanies . Is there any way that you can help me with these. Xo maybe the link …
Hey there! Those little leather tags I actually order from Etsy! Here's their link: www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/25-pack-custom-faux-leather-tags?ref=yr_purchases
Why do you start before the black peg on the machine?
You are right that you are supposed to start at the black! Usually, I do, but to be totally honest, I don't think it effects it too much, so sometimes I might start before!
Could you put a link to the faux poms?
Yes! Here are the affiliate links to the poms I use :)
- Black amzn.to/3hpGRJa
- White amzn.to/41xTRiE
- Brown amzn.to/3Y6w720
Hi, where I can buy knitting machine? Like you have.?
Hi! Here is an affiliate link to the exact Addi machine I have: amzn.to/3CrwoF4
@@camryns_cute_creations Thank you.
Do you make your own tags?
The leather tags are from Etsy :) www.etsy.com/listing/748299562/
@@camryns_cute_creations , I thank you so much doll ❤ I have a cricut that I never used yet.... I could make these if I only knew what svg the tags are. Thank you for sharing this ❤
So this machine only make 1 size hat, is that right? You can change the number of rounds you do, but u cant change the number of stitches in each round?
Yes but if you play with tension you can make different sizes :)
@@camryns_cute_creations Thank you! I would definitely consider this if I ever went into doing markets. Amigurumi takes too much time to build inventory so this would be excellent for adding to the inventory.
Could you make a crochet tut?
Yes I can!
I absolutely love your videos sooooo much they are EVERYTHING! out of curiosity... are your tags stamped or engraved?
I believe the faux leather tags are with a laser machine! I order them from Etsy so I’m actually not entirely sure:)
Why do people who make beanies never try them on? Are they kind of small? Thinking about getting a machine.
They do not come out small, and in fact fit really well! These are one of my most popular items!
How much are u selling these ?
I sell my Addi Beanies for $28!
Please I need sentro machine tutorials 🙏🏻🙏🏻
You’ve got it :)
So I do make these, and the crochet hats I make by hand sell better than these do. I still make them because I like them a lot.
My crochet ones still sell really well too!
Supposed to start with the black ones so it counts better
Thanks for the tip!
Comparison video please!!
You’ve got it:)
