- Learn how to make a super easy and cozy beanie with your circular knitting machine with this step by step tutorial and free pattern!
You can use a Sentro, Jamit, or Addi machine to make this knitted hat. If you've seen those tutorials on Tiktok and wanted to learn how to make it, I'll walk you through the whole process nice and slow.

Ok THANK YOU! I have never made anything in my life. I had gotten this machine for my middle daughter for Christmas. She crochets everything by hand so I thought she'd enjoy this. She hasn't used it since I had gotten it for her. Well, my oldest daughter has just been diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer in August and has already lost all of her hair due to the aggressive nature of the chemo she needs. So I decided tonight to see if I could find a video and make her some hats. Oh my word!!! I did it thanks to your video! I've gotten one done and I'm so so excited!!! Thank you so much!! You have given me the ability to make something for my daughter to wear so she'll be reminded that I'm always with her and thinking of her during this horrible time. ❤

I hope this doesn’t offend but if you still have any of your daughter’s hair you can velcro a fringe (bang) inside the hat, my mother in law did this, and used to switch it from hat to hat. You machine stitch the hair to one part of the velcro and interchange it. I know this is a strange thing to share with a stranger but my mother in law found it comforting. Sending best wishes.
Hi Crystal, I'm just a regular old car guy that's wanted to make his own beanies for years. I didn't think I had the attention span to complete this project. Got my Sentro machine yesterday. Bought yarn today and used your video to make my first hat! I had trouble casting off, my tail thread was not long enough so I dropped a couple of stitches. Found a video on how to fix it everything turned out great. Thank you for showing a 75 year old man how to “knit”!

This was my first project on my knitting machine and it was so easy and fun to make, and it taught me a lot about the machine so right after I made the hat I made a scarf, a tube top and another hat with the knowledge from this video and my first hat! The first hat I made following this video was far too big for my head, so for the second hat I did 130 rows and it is PERFECT for my pea head - just an FYI for anyone wanting a snugger fit.
Great tip putting your finger over the live stitch when casting off.

Just used this to make my first project on my machine! Fixed a few dropped stitched and still have some wonky ones but overall a really good first go that used up some left over yarn I had. Gonna make another for my brother before I attempt a sweater

I Love Hand Knitting and Crocheting my Beanies for Charities but the last couple of years I had life changing setbacks that knocked me off track and I wasn't able to make enough Beanies to give away. How many rows for a hat
Depends on how long you would like it, cuff or no cuff, and head size. I did 120 rows I think.
