That tensioner is cool! I'm going to have to look into one. I've had an addi for years but am just now getting into how to use it to it's fullest potential. Although if I can't master the panel setting it's about to go out the window 😂
Thank you for the video. I just bought this tensioner for my Sentro machine. I would love to see a detailed video for the Sentro machine. I would also love to see more detail given on the different tensions. Sample yarns to use with each of the springs and how much to screw the white piece on also. Is there any way you could turn off the background music in the video? It's loud and overwhelming and not at all needed. Thank you.
@@MelDell-z5b Thank you very much for letting us know! We will add these recommendations to our list of videos to provide. We will work on the music too!
I have the large Addi ... and I have the Geonocci Electric Adapter for the machine. Will this work on my Addi with the Adapter attached. Thank you kindly.
@@marycomer1978 Hi - page 4 of the guide goes over the springs. For 3-4 weight yarn, the gold spring with the adjustment knob tightened to 1/4 way in on the shaft is a good starting point. The adjustment is dependent upon the machine since they all wear in a little differently.
Oh what a great idea. I'm always holding my yarn to try and keep the tension uniform. Unfortunately, the shipping to Australia is nearly as much as the cost of the tensioner.... and that's on Etsy Australia. It doesn't look that big? Surely $33.61 is over the top for shipping?
@kamilasmith unfortunately the international shipping prices from the USA to Australia are completely out of our control. The packaged weight of our tensioner by itself is just under 8 ounces and we completely agree with you on the costs for international shipping. We’ve found that anything shipped over 8 ounces in total weight almost doubles the international shipping charge to the UK, Canada and Australia.
It allows you to use the Addi Knitting Machine without the need for holding or guiding the yarn going into the machine and keeps a very consistent tension throughout your project so all of your stiches are perfectly uniform. You won’t end up with random loose or over tight areas showing up in the middle of a big project.
@@gregorylipscomb5688 Hi, it is true, some machines are picky when it comes to the Red Heart brand yarn. I have not had much issue with it in my Addi. My Sentros are another story.
HI, I loved your video. It was very interesting and informative but must you have that annoying music? What you do is interesting and entertaining enough without it.
Okay, now I need an addi!!! ❤
Thank you so much for teaching me how to use my new addi express king size knitting machine with the ultimate tensioner correctly. I love it.
Awesome Work. I just got my Addi in the mail today. Thank you for sharing.

Hi! can I use the tensioner to make the stitches tighter?
Is the kingsize machine suitable for smaller objects, such as socks ?

You can do panels in circle mode

We will work on the music too!
I love my tensioner!!!
Have to put clip to hold on arm feeder door and tension eron
If you do a lot of colorwork, we make a "Colorwork Edition" that will remain in place on the machine even when the yarn feeder door is left open.
Hi, this looks great. I will to know if this is useful to the sentor machine too

Hi- yes, The Ultimate Tensioner will work with the electric motors. We do recommend caking your yarn first to remove any knots or tangles.
Mine just came today. My question is how do you know how tight to tighten the spring? Thanks. 😁
