I am brand new at learning how to use my first Sentro machine. I started my first beanie on Wednesday, New Year’s day. A great way to kick off 2025 incorporating a knitting machine instead of completely by hand. Make more items faster. Next step is to include more knitting machines of various sizes. Practice makes perfect!!
@@AndreaRJames That is a great way to kick off the new year! Glad you’re having fun! Check out my playlists and that will help you find your next project! 😊
I love your explanation. Thank you. I work at an adult day program for adults with developmental disabilities. I find with them they like 140-160 rows. Weird I know right. They like some slouch to their toques and a very wide brim that they can pull down over their ears due to our very cold climate in northern Alberta. Thank you so much for your channel.
Hello! Thank you so so much for this video. I just bought my Addi Express King Size and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why everyone’s suggested rows were so varied. I first hat was also way too tight on my head. I relaxed my tension just as you suggested and it fits like a charm. I’m really looking forward to making more beanies for the Holiday season. Cheers and thanks again!
Wow, my 120 rows is super long. I use tension, and my brim can be 2-3 inches. When I get more time, I'm going to do your video and see what I like. Thanks for the great videos. All of them!!
Very helpful video. I wish I had found it sooner! I'm a charity hat knitter, and am a little frustrated by the rickety nature of my new Addi 46. For the price, I would have expected better of it. Anyway, now I have guidance for sizing and don't have to spend any more time looking for a decent pattern book. I hope I'm not too far off with the pile of 120 row hats for our homeless men. Seriously, if you wrote a book with photos, charts, patterns, yarn suggestions and sizing tips, I would buy it.
Glad it was helpful! 120 rows may be a bit too short for men. If your 46 needle is finicky I would say that it’s because of the yarn choice. 99% of the time that seems to be the reason. 🥰
