Doc John has one of the most important roles on this series, not just as a doctor, but a crew member and friend. His attitude towards life and wise words are truly something to live by.
Hey guys, I actually "live" right next to you(see my channel for what I do/how i live). Any chance we could meet up? I'd love to see the builds and would love to pick your brains about some tech questions on my current setup. And I'd love to have the opportunity to do a walk around on some of the rigs to let my subscribers(although admittedly I am a tiny channel) see your awesome setups. You guys have been very influential for my lifestyle change and I'd love to have the opportunity to meet y'all...Although I did get to meet clay a couple years back in the wholesale sports parking lot
Hands down the best part of this is watching your son grow and learn. It's so rewarding to see someone learn on the fly through real world trial and error.
Your journeys are absolutely AMAZING!!! The places you visit, the photography, the wildlife... simply breathtaking, Thank you all so much for bringing us along with you!
For most local Alaskans in the Palmer area, this is a normal day trip with the kids. No expedition required haha. Jim Creek is great and the view at the Knik glacier never gets old.
I was about to comment the same. A 12-year-old and his friends on 4 wheelers go from the parking lot to glacier and back in a day. Hell, i know a high school kids who went in and out on a fat tire bike. Kudos to the filmmaker for editing it into an epic story though.
This is unbelievable!! The production is absolutely amazing! I feel like I am watching the Discovery channel or Nat Geo! Huge fan here though guys! I have been following XO for a long time and I am constantly entertained! I look forward to new episodes, great work!
I lived in AK for two years and I loved every moment. Alaska and its people will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for the amazing content and for taking me back to one of the most beautiful places on earth. You can definitely feel that God spent a little extra time here creating all of it.
Absolutely incredible episode! Brings back memories of watching my very first XO episode of your first Alaska trip and thinking damn, this is what I want to be doing. And then... I did it. Thanks for the constant inspiration folks, this was my favourite episode yet.
Wow !!! Watching these episodes of your journey through Alaska just makes me want to go back again. My wife and I took a cruise for our 30th anniversary up to Alaska (Aug 2019). We did some fun things Ie; Kayaking through Icy Strait, taking a helicopter up onto a glacier, seeing and HEARING a glacier calving from the deck of the cruise ship. Horse back riding through the back country outside of Anchorage. Clay seeing you sit and absorb your surroundings while at Knik brought back all these memories. Thank you. As I told my wife if we ever get the chance to go back, the way you are exploring Alaska is how we need to do it. Hands down some of the best videography ! cannot wait to see more!
The content that Clay and the boys produce is above and beyond any other overland series! Keep it coming boys!! Maybe you could do sweepstakes and one of your fans could join!!
Couldn't agree more. Make memories (now) with your loved ones. It doesn't need to be an epic location like Alaska, just a weekend or a week long road trip. To a place you haven't been to before. Discover new places. Enjoy each others company. Enjoy theses moments while you can. They're priceless. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next episode...
I took my stock Tacoma to the Knik glacier 2 weeks after getting it from the dealership and it started raining hard on the way back and I thought I was about to lose my brand new truck in a flood 😂
Man , machines and nature !!!!! What absolutely beautiful footage and story line ….. I’ve followed you since your original videos …. Thank you for all the incredible energy and effort it took to make these incredible videos to share with us !! Please continue…. What beautiful place our world is !!
Those bush planes and pilots are badass! Good decision on that river crossing, live to fight another day. Wow! To see wolves in the wild is a rare treat. Such majestic animals. Spectacular is an understatement when describing the experience of seeing those glaciers. SENSATIONAL!!!
One of the best series I have ever came across on UA-cam! Even though you're not in the trip but still helps you learn soo much, helps you understand yourself just by watching it. I wonder how amazing it would to actual experience such things. Always hope of doing it someday. Just amazing and breath taking. And very special applause to the way you guys captured entire trip, getting out of the truck placing cameras, scenes from drones in such conditions that's just something else.
So cool to see Justin back again! Back when I watched the old Alaska trip I used to be a hardcore Toyota fanboy, but that one episode where the Xterra and the 100 was forging through a river crossing in slo mo, from then on I started believing in Nissans :)
Dang… I watched everything you guys have done since finding XO and this was my favorite for so many reasons. You all have gotten so detailed in the things most people will miss in these videos. So happy to you all for doing these videos
I had to write and say a big thank you for all the content you create, but this series and this episode in particular just blows me away, it’s 100% some of the best content I’ve ever watched, and it’s truly inspiring. I’m watching your Nordic series as it comes out and I’m now planning my own Nordic trip for 2024/25 in my Toyota Proace van.
Excellent as always. The Wolf pups might have been the coolest thing I've seen in awhile, such smart animals. Good to see the kid go up in the plane and get some seat time in the trucks. Cheers ! from N.B. CAN.
Beautiful photography and videography and storytelling. Great to see a father's reaction to setting up his son for a lifetime memory. Really appreciate the time, talent, and treasure expended to make this available. Regardless of how well built the rigs are, I'm starting to think the bush pilots are on to something.
Incredible. Such a well done film. This takes me back to the old days of XO; a lot has changed, and I know the team has gotten better, but I still like some of those earliest films best. Power to you guys moving forward, and happy adventuring!
I live in the Palmer area and remember seeing your rigs and wondering who you were and what you were up to. Thanks to UA-cam recommending your videos, now I know! Hatcher Pass is my family’s favorite playground, especially in the summer. It’s fun watching other people experience Alaska the way the locals do! Can’t wait to finish watching the series to see where else you go.
Cliff hanger ending!!! Awesome episode! I hope to take my son to see Alaska one day! Clay your vision, drive, determination, team building and leadership is so inspirational...oh and your quotes are unforgettable!
Another awesome Trail Run awesome footage again thank you folks for sharing this adventure 👍🇺🇸🗽👍 Your Rigs are spot on 👍 The Vermonter in the ❄ 🏔 Snow!!
We flew to the Knik Glacier when we were in Alaska last summer. It was incredible; my (and my kid's) first ride in a helicopter. Maybe someday I'll drive it like you did. So far this series is a preview of a trip I hope to make in the future.
It's very amazing to see the big giant glacier n all of your crew members are very lucky to see the white beauty of nature. It's awesome to see this series looks like am seen Discovery Channel or Netgeo. Thanks for showing beautiful landscapes. Keep moving. Love from East.
I grew up in Anchorage and every weekend would go out there and mob our trucks, and I have lost three trucks out there! Good times and beater learner trucks but still fun times and a great area to explore back there!
Clay you have such a great voice for storytelling...Alaska so amazing, teaching your boy's in real life you must be a happy and proud Dad. What cal. are the handguns your carrying ??
Simply BRUTAL !! What an awesome episode !! And with expensive donuts and all, LOL !! It was worth any waiting !! Very well done, cant wait to see the next one !! You're really pushing all of our buttons with expectations ... and its working like a charm ... I´M LOVING IT !!! THANK YOUUU ! Cheers
Canadian living over here in Queensland, Australia. I am running a Hilux platform so watch with interest how you are doing up the trucks. Good to see the Patriot going well over that on very different terrain that we have over here. Surprised you went up there without a snorkel on one of the rigs! Reckon further episodes will bring you into contact with more at depth crossings, so keen to see if ended up taking on any water! Sidenote that I am surprised staino snorkels havent taken hold over there - these are now much more dominant over here against the Safari’s. Really enjoying the series and distinctly different that the wheeling series we have over here. You’ve got a high quality production value and the storyboarding is excellent. Hopefully a few tough tracks in future episode that push the limits of the rigs and your drivers.
This is insane! One of my best days this month was the day I got the notification this video was dropping.Living vicariously for a day is what gives me great ideas for my next trip
I kept waiting for Clay to just push a big wad of mud in Dan's face. This makes me want to take my Z to Alaska even more, summer is coming time to see if I can swing it.
Doc John has one of the most important roles on this series, not just as a doctor, but a crew member and friend. His attitude towards life and wise words are truly something to live by.
You have to be 💪 and smart to do anything in alaska let's be honest 🗻
Doc John honestly a top 3 player in this trip. He is just a well intentioned wise man and has so much to offer.
Thank you for watching! This is one of our favorites, we learned, we laughed, and we can't believe its been almost 9 years since we were here last!
I remember the last Alaska visit like it was yesterday. Thanks for the incredible memories.

Are you serious That's amazing a everyday trip seriously
@@cornell833he said “day trip” not “everyday”. As in they go there and back in one day

Wow off roading camping and donut delivery, that's living! I really miss Alaska.

The boys are so lucky to be out there in back country with their dads !!
Super cool! Never went in the summer, but winter is pretty sick. I can now say I’ve done donuts on a glacier

Hometown Wasilla boy here. Hatcher's Pass is our back porch. One of my favorite places up here in AK.
I kept waiting for Clay to just push a big wad of mud in Dan's face. This makes me want to take my Z to Alaska even more, summer is coming time to see if I can swing it.
Always looking for new content and channels I can follow.
