- After arriving at Torfi’s cabin in the middle of a dark and stormy night, the team begins to plan their route into Iceland’s interior via the F Roads with local legend, Torfi Johannsson, and his one-of-a-kind 1991 Toyota Hilux. Clay gives a rundown on this 4x4 ready truck with 42" tires, solid rear axle, and 80's series Landcruiser front suspension system.

I've lived in Montana most of my life. I love it here and think it is stunning. But , Iceland is absolutely blowing my mind. It's absolutely amazing.

Thank you for taking us to Iceland. We visited this amazing country in 2021 on the 3-week solo 4x4 trip and we just couldn't believe such places existed. Iceland sets the 4x4 expedition bar high, as your cinematography and storytelling.

At 20:32 Hvanngil huts : I`m traveling to Iceland since 1990. And my last few trips always I made Solo Hikes into the Highlands. I reached this same hut in late Winter on my 2014 Solo Snowshoeing Triip along to Landmannalaugar and even further North. This Hut was half buried under a Monster Shitload of Snow. And being their totally allone was something super special. So I could 100% empathise with you about this trip and Landscapes..

I remember the 2010 eruption as we were overlanding in Africa and luckily were able to fly back to Canada via Amsterdam. Fantastic adventure! A new "standard" for overland adventures.

I went to Iceland in February a few years ago. It's a completely different looking landscape when there isn't any snow. Almost like a totally different planet. Looks like I'm going to have to go back.
