We’ll Never Forget this No Agenda Overland Adventure!

- It was time to get out and do some wheeling and camping with good friends and we purposefully left our agenda open ended so we could explore without too many time and distance restrictions. Well it turned out to be an expedition none of us will soon forget. We kicked it off at the Trona Pinnacles, camped for the night an then set off to explore Death Valley. We had a full sized AEV RAM truck, my Jeep Gladiator with a Patriot Campers X2 Trailer, a Jeep Wrangler with a trailer, a Toyota Tacoma and a well build Jeep Wrangler rock crawler on this overland trip. Good people, good food and awesome stops along the way… I think you will really enjoy joining us on this adventure. #jeepgladiator #jeepwrangler #ramtruck

I love that Marco ALWAYS has a smile on his face.
Always smiling!
@@TrailRecon Truly a great guy !!
I appreciate that!
@@mountainbiker6098 Thank you!
That's 'cause he isn't eating the chorizo 80 miles from nowhere. Plus...he seems like a good dude.
As an Australian I find it pretty amazing how you guys can be in the desert in the morning then be playing with snow capped mountains behind you later on that day!
California seems like a beautiful mix of land scapes!
It's a beautiful place for sure, but I hope to one day get to spend some time out in exploring your neck of the woods.
@@TrailRecon Brad will eventually get a landcruiser to explore Australia. You heard it here first!
When Marko is with you I'm always hungry after.
Channon Spencer haha Thank you!
Heck yeah! MARCO!!!!!
Brad you are blessed to have such a wonderful group to go adventuring with and I must agree, Marco is truly a gift. Not to diminish the sentiment but who doesn't love the one who feeds us? Unless they happen to be a terrible cook, right! PEACE
What a great adventure. Marco never fails to amaze with his Marcomatic Frother haha.
HaHaHa! "Marcomatic" !
Love seeing all the different rigs !
Looked like a great group.
It's amazing how this channel stays interesting and fresh.
Oh man, chorizo con papa! Tastes uber delicious with homemade salsa, warm corn tortillas and cotija cheese
Your JT is looking really cool Brad. Love the stripe. Also, like the green color of that Ram. I've seen a couple Jeeps in that color.
That AEV RAM Prospector is a beast!
My brother and I did this trail in his first gen 4Runner back in December. It was amazing!
Had the day off today. Been watching trailrecon videos all day. I'm loving every single one, keep it up guys.
Brad you know how to enjoy life... You surround your self with wonderful people... Pure joy. Keep on filming, and keep on WHEELING......
8:15 that burrito looks so good I want to go home and make one right now!!!!
Since I can't go Xscape work and City Life I have to enjoy your videos please keep them coming
It was weird hearing him say CHOR-IZO instead of CHOD-ISO never heard it said that way I’m New Mexican
Watching these videos get me through my desk job and for that I appreciate content like this
You guys are so lucky in the USA, you have the best landscape for this sort of adventure. It is impossible for me to get more than 100 yards from anyone in the UK
Uk here as well, do you 4x4? you should take a trip to strata florida in wales or salisbury plain
Lot of areas in the US like that too. You are probably as close to wild areas like Shetlands, Faeroe, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Portugal etc. as some people are to the SW Deserts here.
Australia has some really good wheeling spots from what I’ve heard, so does Mexico and Canada, but the US has everything from dense forests and mountains in the east, mud bogs, deserts in the southwest, more mountains in the north west, you name it, we got it.
@@tennesseecurtiss5741 certainly dont forget Australia which has the biggest spots
Awesome channel! I’ve owned my Tacoma for 21 years original owner and just blew a head gasket, checking out over land videos commentary on trucks I’m looking at, and wow this is a great channel!!
Once again, I loved the adventure you took us on! Your storytelling ability is what really makes the videos just a bit better than most!
Kind of unsure about a trailer-definitely see the advantages but not sure if it’s for me. Heck, I’m just trying to get out there-and in the end that’s what it’s all about!
Looking forward to some “lean” JK videos where you ground tent again. Cheers!
Actually the stuffed peppers called ‘dolma’ and the recipe is originally from Armenia. It has beef and rice on it and you can make it not only with bell peppers but also wrap it into grapes leaves (my favorite), zucchini, eggplants, tomatoes and other veggies. I’ve never tried it baked on fire and after watching this video I definitely want to try it. Great video 👍
we need to make on our next trip. ❤️
biuregh parseghian Please! Give me the correct recipe!!!
Edwin Carapetian ❤️
Want to see a walk around of the prospector! Love those rigs
It's such a great build!
AJ has a video on his YT page about the build 🤙
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your high quality video from the start till the finish. I love the camaraderie among the teammates.
Superfast update! glad to see you guys on the trail! (tan Tacoma kid)
8:10, been doing this type of a burrito for years. Once I tell others to try it, they never go back to scrambled eggs. Nothing like yolk dripping out while you eat it. Great video! Can’t wait to take this trip. Oh yeah, thanks for the tip about the filler neck on the Tacoma.
Hopefully you’ll give us a separate vid on your full perspective of the X2, and the idea of trailer altogether?
Your friend Marco is a gem he cooks breakfast for everyone with love and compassion
That Ram rig is sweet!
Made the other rigs look like a struggle.
And here I have a 3500 thinking I need a Jeep. Watching that Toyota thru the sand its sounds like a dog.
I’m trying to figure out if that’s a power wagon or a turbo diesel.
@@darthwader99j53 at 14:23 you can see a good shot of the ram. I can't tell on my mobile what the badging is, but it might be able to help see what it is. I'm sure there's a build interview on the channel somewhere!
Do you have the link for AJ’s YT channel?
My fiancee (wife in 2 weeks!) and I have been looking to purchase a Jeep in the near-ish future and I stumbled upon your account. I'm so glad I did! I love following along on your adventures and the history of the sites you explore. Also, I wish I had a buddy that could cook as well as Marco!
Keith Ivens Thank you! Congratulations on your wedding!
Been to Barker ranch back in the 90's... I signed the guest book... Quite a trip there
AWESOME JOURNEY ! BREATHTAKING VIEWS BEAUTY COLORS SCENERY VIDEO WEATHER LANDSCAPE & DRONE FOOTAGE TOO 👌 LOVE THE HISTORY & SEEING IT FIRST HAND WITH YOU'LL ! MARCO DID IT AGAIN ! GREAT FOOD & FRIENDSHIP COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE ! GLAD EVERYONE MADE IT BACK HOME SAFELY 🏡 THANK YOU 🙏 BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS 🙏 ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
This is one of the best posts on overland camping that I have watched!
Great to hear, thank you!
So here is my thought sequence everytime I watch your episodes:
First, I'm excited with the trail. Second, I love the rigs you guys are hauling, and lastly, Marco's menu keeps me hungry all the time.
I was so excited for this video after seeing all the stories on insta. Well I was not disappointed.
Great to hear, thank you!
Marco is worth his weight in gold! All his cooking looks soo good!
Gladiator being red looks good with that blue behind it just need a dash of white now
you guys inspire me to become an offroader 😍😍
Best adventures are without an agenda! Awesome trip!
This is such a cool channel.... I don’t get the amount of “dislikes.” Get a grip unhappy with life people.
3:56 the sound of wheels on the small stones....waw amazing 👏
It's always good , to get out , and do Not-A-Thing , and have fun... OH,,and you guy's had Marco to feed ya's...LOL
"accidentally" found this channel while home sick from work and I love it .. hoping to get a Jeep within the next year or so before I retire .. seems like a great group of folks here and wow Marco gets it done doesn't he! Keep up the good work!
Thank you and hope you are well soon!
I hate being poor. Can't afford adventures like this.
such an amazing trip! such a great group! you guys had it all! an aev dream, a taco, gladiator, a few trailers, and a rock crawler !
Man I like that RAM’s setup so much. But your Gladiator is the best of the pack.
Beautiful trip Brad, looks like everyone had a lot of fun...
BTW, towards the end of the video I saw the value in those rear facing amber lights.
Hi Brad, looking forward to seeing new adventures of you and Regina and the TrailRecon family 😊
I can just imagine cowboys riding through those canyons
That RAM is a freakin' BEAST!
Loved the vid Brad!!! You guys are my hero's. I want to get to the point where I can do these things as well.
Thank you!
I think Marco needs a fully customized X2 so he can bring his camp kitchen to another level. If its even possible for it to get better
Awesome video! I love to eat so, Marco stole the show for me personally but the rigs and scenery were great! I have caught some videos in the past and recently heard your name from the LiteBrite channel so I subscribed!
David guitar madman Thank you very much!
Marco says ‘..it’s a new recipe but I think it will be very good...’ Was there any doubt !
RAM, Jeep, Toyota...it doesn’t matter. This video encapsulates perfectly why we buy 4wd’s.
US$5 a gallon. Plenty of that in the more remote parts of Australia.
Cheers from Oz...
Amazing..
10000000000 like, and thanks for the ride 👍😉
Brad, that was some fanatic CGI effects on the Toyota. Everyone knows that Toyota's never ever break. I love the way Marco acts like, ok everyone if this isn't good it's because I've never made it. Knowing darn well it will be delicious.
LOL!
Man this was amazing! Love it. Keep them coming!
Awesome! Superb! what a driving! what a road!.. Just loving your vlog.
Made it out there in my honda cr-v during milkyway season. some of the darkest skies in california, also saw some fighter jets flyover driving in
When is milky way season
@@AveragePatty Facing south during April and May the pre-dawn hours are best. From June to early August the best time is near midnight, though the Milky Way will be visible almost all night. From Mid August through September the best time is soon after the sun has set and the sky has grown dark
@@HIYAHHHHHHHH thank you!
I wish these videos were weekly! Keep up the great work!
Alex Barboza Me too!
God's creation is beautiful! Thanks for the share!
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump It sure was! God created the heavens and the earth for His glory, and it's by God's creation that we have a purpose: to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever! It's truly truly a beautiful thing that we should be so stoked about!
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump everything is just a grand accident.... Happy ?
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump looks like someone's projecting.....
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump more projecting..... Come on kid, you gotta do better than that and have better ideas than happy accidents and coincidences over 13.7 billion years.
@Vladimir_Bone Spur_tRump You humiliate me ? You were a humiliation to your parents the day you were born ( that was truly an accident, your dad wasn't careful enough with his condom, no doubt). And conversation ? No kiddo I am schooling you.
Thanks for the reminders! I loved exploring the abandoned places of Arizona when I lived there. I miss the southwest.
To see Marco smile at his own cooking 👌
انا عربي من العراق وتبعكم احبكم😻💔💔
I am an Arab from Iraq and I love you💔💔
So awesome!!
Everyone needs a Marco in their life.
Got a ton of inspiration from watching this trip! Not only was it an awesome escape, but the terrain was manageable enough that my modest XJ could probably handle it. A good reminder that you don’t have to beat your rig against the rocks to have an adventure. Plus, if I could apply like 10% of Marco’s passion for trail cooking to my day to day life, every meal could be an adventure!
Awesome Nathaniel Thank you!
Hey Brad, awesome video as always. I'd be interested in your thoughts on how Marco's Smitty trailer held up compared to the Patriot. Looked like it held it's own and at a fraction of the cost.
His trailer held its own for sure, but I would upgrade it to an off-road hitch assembly and it's pretty bare bones, so lot's of custom work needed to bring it up to speed to be a chuck wagon kitchen.
@@TrailRecon That's great. Thanks for the response.
Jason, I have the Scout Trailer and have taken it on the White Rim trail outside of Moab. It has held up very well as he have never had any issues with it. It a nice trailer for the price, being a fraction of the cost of a Patriot camper but it’s bare bones.
@@sbanks1491 Thanks for the input. I love the Patriot camper, but it is definitely more than I want to spend.
Trail Recon is awesome and now that he has a Power Wagon I am hooked! Even though Brad was a Squid! Live this channel Hoorah!
Who hits the dislike button on something like this? Either a mistake or a very unhappy person.
I think if you dislike you name should be posted on this video for everyone to see.
Commiefornia Demonrats! I know, I live here!
It's likely they are deep south trump supporting Gadsden flag sticker slappin' Virginia pro-gun lobbying jeepers
zom zom huh?
@@greygoose4x46 you know what I mean.
Awesome weekend trip and video, as usual. Thanks for taking us along. Marco needs to start his own overland cooking channel. I salivate every time I see what he conjures up!

imzeppy1 😉
I get hungry when Marco cooks...
Brad, great video. I’ve been watching for few months. I’m in the Midwest and we don’t have the terrain like you guys have. I look forward to your material. Keep up the good work buddy. I know you’ve been doing it for a long time. Just remember a jeeper is born every day.
my wife & i've been following many of the adventures since we discovered the channel a couple weeks ago (June 2022). We will say this about that : ) Awesome gatherings AND >> Good on Marco for "incorporating 'Soy' " in the stuffed chili peppers as we were wondering how this non-meat-eating couple could mix come any meal times. We live just north of Las Vegas and call this area home.
27 degrees = bitter cold😂. It’s been below zero for the last week in Minnesota. It’ll be in the mid 30’s for the next week and I’m excited!
Brad,
I have noticed a move away from Brand recently.. Or is it just me? no decals on your jeep.. removed watermark on your videos plain hoodie.. ect. whats up?!
I'm not trying to be a NASCAR Overlander
@@TrailRecon Thats why I love this channel!
TrailRecon haha! Touché! I guess once you’re getting the UA-cam algorithm there is not much need for physical advertising for your channel anymore.
Loved the video btw! As always!
A true pro.

I recently took the stickers off my windows. Looks a lot better.
With all the sponsors you have, you can't get away from being a NASCAR overlander
What an awesome outcome, so many great stops. I'll be trying to copy this itinerary for sure when I can finally travel west.
This adventure had a bit of everything a little creepy and a some crawly
Only started watching your videos in the past few weeks. Loved that you mentioned the vegetation, and that it is ACTUALLY thriving. So many throw respect to the wind in the desert. You got a new subscriber. 🤙
Wow that gas price hurts to even hear out loud
Oh yeah this is exactly what I needed while getting ready for this weekend. Not gonna be quite as epic of an adventure since it's just one vehicle, but I'm looking forward to getting out of town for the night. Thanks Brad :)
Everyone is wishing they had a friend name Marco
Marco’s Jeep in the shop...again. Waiting for Marco to show up in a 4Runner in the future 😁
LOL! He'll be back up and running soon enough.
TrailRecon that’s good to hear.
That would be downgrade
This is where the ending scene of Star Trek V was filmed. I've always wanted to see this place in person!
What an awesome trip. Such awesome footage. Thanks for sharing Brad!
Man, what a great bunch of folks. Love to go along with you on of these days.
Nice assortment of vehicles
Great vid to watch and plan while recovering from COVID. Can’t wait to hit the trails again next year!
Production quality, narration, sights, all top notch! New sub👍
I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but Carlos you are the hero of your troop!
Another great video! Thanks for your continued sharing and leaving it better than you find it!
I am loving your adventures, these types of events is why my wife and I bought a jeep and we can’t wait to get more involved
Thanx!!
I really love your desert videos! I grew up in Boron. I live in Oregon now. And I really do miss that California desert. I never made it to the pinnacles. But I did play football in Trona! They can’t grow any grass there. We played on a dirt field. Thank you for making such awesome videos.
So cool. California's deceptively BEAUTIFUL
The Tacoma filler neck issue is due to the dual battery tray. It hits when the motor flexes on its mounts.
Marco is so cool and what an awesome cook!! Great video and awesome rigs. The Steppenwolf is "Bad to the Bone"
i waited all weekend for this vid!! Thank you for the awesome cinematography and narration!!
#Toyota should recall the filler neck! Great job on the fix guys! Another great episode. #respect
Love the colour of that Ram.
Good to see men enjoy themselves
Incredible video! Loved the rigs and views. Great narration too.
Thank you!
Awesome to see the vehicle diversity..great vids
What a amazing adventure! I like it! I love it! This is my dream life!
Always such an epic adventure
