I can't believe a tiny 4cyl engine managed to tow all of that through all of that. After all the toxic hatred towards the new Prado I was beginning to doubt the purchase of my new Prado but after watching your truck handle that so well, I was impressed and relieved. Cheers
Have never seen a vehicle get more hate from people who have never seen what one can do, to be honest, this thing blows my last car out of the water in the towing department, that had a bigger engine, smaller tyres, and more power on paper. You made a great decision
@@antonilavin2488 That old 2.8 seems to have proven itself over a long period of time. Probably why Toyota chose to instal it rather something brand new.

Great video as always. Lil you're so funny hiding down in your seat. Looks like the new car is going to be perfect for your needs. Seems really capable. Hope you guys have a great New Year and thanks for the wonderful content throughout the entire year.
The Prado looks awesome with the new huge mud tyres. And towing the van up that long sand hill was an impressive feat for a shopping trolley. New Prado 👍
Your tripple rule is about right. Always wear shoes out in the bush! It is easier to cross dunes early morning when the sand is cooler and a little more dense. You could also have dropped all the tyres to 15PSI without any issues. Thanks for the video.
Hi Love this Episode 😂 Did you ever heard of you take the high road and I take the low road 😳 🫡🫣 High road is the most difficult path 😉 but not for the A Team 😃 . Great Team work. Have an amazing week 🦘🦘🏕️🐾
Nice setup , my only comment is I wouldn't have put those big tires on. Given your towing and doing a fair bit of off road work your just putting more strain on the diffs , cvs and reducing your range. You may find your gearbox over heats a bit more too when towing .
Good Video again, interesting place. As a property owner myself I would appreciate a wayward traveler to stop say G'day & explain how & why they where there
Hope you had a great Christmas, yes you are a wise man Jake. 😉 Top stuff to finish off the year, i bet you had Jim's money Lil. 🤣 Have an amazing new year 🎉❤️🥰✌️
Hi Jake, you dropped pressures but do you recheck the pressures every few hours as by late day the ground and a day of flexing the sidewalls have increase the PSI by 2-5 . psi (tyre dependant). First thing in the morning the sand is hardest and your tyres are their lowest pressures (maybe why you got up the hill so easily).
Looks great, from what I can see from states and other recent reviews and also the 200 and recent 300 issues! Id seal that airbox well and get a snorkel before any other mods hopefully someone soon will make an AF airbox for it! Im diffing the new Prado, but nit a fan of first gen, but if ya do what any of us would normally do to future proof our 4wd u will be fine! Bummer about the feet I also love being in bare feet always getting something in my foot thankfully we dont have snakes here! Well not the slithering on the ground type plenty in power 🤘
Hi guys another great lil and Jake video, have you thought about of carrying a bogout kit until you get a bullbar and winch? Safe travels and happy new year.
How do you go with payload? Our van is 3T also with about 260 - 270 on the ball. We were quite keen to go down the Prado track for some comfort, coming from an Isuzu NPR truck, and to not get bogged would be fab 😂. But upon looking at payload it’s like less than 600kg, which nearly half of that would be towball weight, add the fuel, then 160kg of people and smallish dog, don’t think we would even be able to have a fridge in the back, let alone basic tools, and my partner loves his tools, hence the truck. So ended up ordering a 76, definitely not gonna be as comfy as the Prado but has 1200kg payload, and will be more comfy than the truck and wont get bogged on wet grass 😂. Unfortunately not a V8 but same motor as the Prado. Good to see what you can do with your Prado tho!
@ are you sure the payload is with full tanks? I always thought that kerb weight was with 10 litres of fuel. Everything I’ve read says the altitude is 580kg payload. If that did actually include a full tank then I’m spewing cos we could have probably have made it and be able to have a few things in the back like a fridge. But if the payload figure on our 76 is 1200kg after a full tank of fuel gives us an extra 100kg. Weighbridge trip the day we pick it up I think cos it will have a full tank of fuel and we won’t have added anything else yet.
