    - Leave in conditionner for 30 min
    - Dry hair by scrunching it with a micro fiber towel
    - Use one or two curling cream(s), scrunch a lot, head down
    - Diffuse with cold air, head down, head up
    - Once the hair is almost dry, use a tiny bit of a light cream to define the curls and make them stay
    - Diffuse again with cold air
    - Finally, take of the diffuser and only use the hair dryer with *w* motions, very close to your roots to give it volume♥

Deep conditioning every week is a big helper in maintaining your curls and getting them healthier. When I first started on my healthy hair journey I didn't really wanna get on the deep conditioning bandwagon but I gave it a try and I can honestly say it's made a big difference in my curls.

I would really recommen the CGM (curly girl method) for everyone who wants and needs healtiher hair + more defined curls! Get rid of the drying alcohols, silicones, sulfates and mineral oils/paraffin! I have been in this CG method for about almost 3 years now and my hair looks more healthy, shiny, more defined curls and it just looks amazing overall! I would also suggest that you would do a hair porosity test, I have low porosity witch means my hair dosen´t like protein that much, I stick to moisture instread! :)

Babe you should really start looking into the Curly Girl Method and start using CG-friendly products. It has done wonders for my hair already :).

Im still searching for the right products.

    • @tessaxvx
      @tessaxvx 6 років тому +6

hayatwahob that depends on your curl type/hair type. What works for me may not at alllll work for your curls.
You have to find out what your hair elasticity & porosity are & find products that suit that kind of hair 🤗 it’s a lot of trial & error really. I’m still figuring out what works for me. You should also find out what curl pattern you have - 2/3/4 type curls are all different. For me, I’m more in the wavy section with my 2b/2c hair.
Two brands I would however definitely recommend are Shea Moisture & Curls 👌 most of their products are CG friendly :)

My hair was straight & a little wavy before. But once I started using Castile soap instead of shampoo & apple cider vinegar water mix with essential oils as conditioner & some avocado oil smoothed through after while air drying it got curlier than I thought was possible. Now every time I notice when I tryout shampoo or conditioners it makes my hair straight & frizzy again so I’m sticking with my super cheap all natural routine. Plus we just tried a 90% natural conditioner a couple months ago & all of a sudden I have split ends after not having any or a hair cut in a year & a half, & my 3 years 3 months daughter who has never had or needed a hair cut all of a sudden got them too. Now we’ll have to cut her hair earlier than planned.

so cool to hear you cut out sulfates! try cutting out parabens and silicones too. silicons are not water soluble so they just build up and build up and weigh down your curls. parabens dry out your curls and cause frizz, there's also health risks (sort of) if it's not used in small amounts in the product. DevaCurl is honestly one of the BEST brands for curly hair. If someone's on a budget though, Not Your Mother's has a curl defining line that's sulfate, silicone, and paraben free too! and Shea Moisture and you can get both of those brands at target or walmart!! :)

I love your hair so much! I really find that using the Aussie 3 min miracle (moisturizing label for this one) has helped my curls have the hydration I need! I also love using an Apple cider vinegar rinse once a month to clear up product buildup, it’s natural and inexpensive, and it also makes my curls shinier and less weighed down because of the buildup removal.

MsSummerAlyse what do you do with the acv??

Meliiia I just take 1 part of braggs apple cider vinegar with the mother (if it doesn’t have the mother it’s not beneficial) and 2 parts water into a cup and mix really well. I saturate my hair with it before I wash and scrub my scalp with my finger tips, do a little mini head massage. You can also put in a spray bottle and wet your hair with it before you wash if you want a less messy application. Another option would be to focus mostly on your scalp if you have oily hair or dandruff. There’s different recipes and benefits you can find through google, but this is what works for me ☺️ I wouldn’t recommend doing it each wash, I prefer do it once a month, but the max I recommend is every 2 weeks.

Great video thank you for all the tips. One thing that you did not mention is what speed or temperature do you use when you use the hair dryer?
