    Have literally been mourning the loss of my curls after a year of straightening once a week and never focusing on my curls. SUPER scared to stop styling and focus on the damage but this video totally gave me the confidence to tackle my natural hair and get back to feeling beautiful again. @@CappuccinoBabino Is there anything you used to lengthen your hair before cutting? Because honestly, I don't want to cut my damaged hair now. I want to lengthen my hair a little and then cut it so that I don't get very short hair.

      Amanda Walker no but the person who cut my hair combed my hair all the way out dry and caused a lot of damage. She then cut it as if it were straight hair, also dry, so I had to let my hair grow out a bunch and then get it trimmed correctly to fix all of the damage. So it seems like I got a big chop lol.

      Oh no 😭 Definitely try to find a curly hair stylist! I found mine on deva curl’s website, but I believe ouidad also has certified stylists as well. I’ve had my fair share of bad stylists as well and it definitely sucks wasting your time, money and hair 😭😭

      Gel is the saviour to combatting frizz. Get a small amount and run through your hands so that they are covered and praying hands it through your hair with it upside down and scrunch. Don't touch your hair AT ALL while its wet and drying either. That's the main culprit to making frizz appear.

    • @Becksnnc
      @Becksnnc 5 років тому

      Don't use keratin if your hair lacks moisture. It's going to make your hair even more dry. Keratin is a protein. You need a balance. Deep condition until your hair isn't dry any more and if your hair starts feeling mushy or looking limp, that is when it's time to add protein.

If thats true, it would also meet the virgin hair. Both is horrible cutting them too early so that the hair is very short but protected from split ends a the regrowth, as well as keeping the hair to not feel like having a very short hair cut but breakage also on the virgin hair which means, longer tansitioning.

    I have a question, I am an athlete and I use ponytails, I expose it to the sun, and sweat daily so that is why I wash it every day, although I still have thick, full and nice curly hair. My only issue is that the back middle part of my hair is very frizzy and most of my ends in that area are weird and they don't get as curly as the other parts. I can't not wash it every day because I feel very dirty with all the sweat, sun and dust, so my question is, how can I have a healthier hair even with the sun, sweat and ponytails?

    I have similar hair to yours but my hair is so so thick its double your hair.This becomes very stressful when trying to to do any styles and leaves me discouraged.

      It will get better! Slowly cut the straight ends if you’re not ready to big chop :)

    I’ve forgone heat for the last 5 years (literally. No heat). I’ve practically got hair that has NEVER seen direct heat and it still looks like stringy thin garbage (and I get trims every 2 months). I’m understanding why I used heat so much when I was younger but I’d rather sleep in than curl it in the morning so I haven’t started using heat again.

    Great video. What products do u recommend to use after daily showers that include wetting the hair with water only and not using any conditioners or shampoos. So like I do my hair routine twice a week and between these “big” washes I wash my hair with water only daily

      I just looked up the ingredients and it does have silicone in it. Most curly girls stay away from sulfates, parabens and silicones while transitioning to avoid product and silicone buildup. If you're on a budget, here's an article for CG friendly drugstore products: www.naturallycurly.com/curlreading/home/10-drugstore-finds-that-follow-the-curly-girl-method
