This book covering lore around the Sith and the story of Luke’s adventure with Lando is much appreciative. I have a feeling that we might eventually come to terms with the sequel trilogy since the movies have caused some problems for the fandom.
You know, I actually think I understand Rey’s arc a little more after reading Shadow of the Sith, now that I know that her parents really did have every intention of coming back for her.
@@thomas8431 She did. They just fumbled it in episode 9. In 7 and the beginning of 8, she’s looking for a place to belong and hoping that someone like Han or Luke will give her a purpose. She longs to reunite with her parents for the same reason. Then we find out that she’s a nobody. Nobody is going to tell her that she’s special or give her a place to belong, and she finally admits that. So episode 9 should have been about accepting her own worth and self actualizing. Instead, we find out that she actually is super important because of Palpatine Genes, her parents actually loved her, and she’s upset because her grandpa she never met was a bad dude. That’s just messy.

"They" and "Their" are plural pronouns, so I hate when they're used in singular form. It just sounds wrong! If the gender is unknown or yet to be revealed, the character is gender fluid or nonbinary, or something else like that; just use "he/she" [or even "(s)he"] and "his/her." It's still pretty awkward but ultimately sounds better. Even "it" would be an improvement despite how dehumanizing it is.

That would be like me calling someone who identified as male "her"/"she" If you don't like it, fine but have the common decency to respect how a person chooses to identify, and not what suits you best

I was amused by the audiobook narrator's choice to read Beaumont Kin as using a French accent. I hated that character, was unhappy to find out he'd be in the book, then burst out laughing with his first dialogue. That said, to me, that the narrator had the good taste not to see "Rise," which tickled me. Yes, I'm petty.
I find it kind of funny (far as I know) when Revan gets mentioned in canon material their gender and what route they took is left ambiguous. Like they building up something with this (problably not)

Yeah I gotta be honest, that was one of the only disappointing things to me. I really like that it’s Darth Noctyss’ saber, but I don’t like that it’s still curved shaped. It feels deceiving because they made it straight on the cover and the concept art for Kiza.

I liked Dathan choosing to name himself after his mentor, it’s a nice callback to his daughter choosing the last name of one of her mentors.
This book wasn't even planned probably until 2021, and it doesn't make ep9 better... It actually makes it even worse
