Curiously, every new time we hear Tarkin say "you may fire when ready" it happens earlier on in the star wars timeline. So technically it was already his catchphrase before we knew it.

you missed the most important easter egg my guy... echo was actually in the bad batch!! if you listen closely he has a handful of lines across the whole season!
Yeah, with him being the most developed clone outside of Rex and maybe Fives in TCW, him being relegated to the background for most of this season is a disappointment in a show that I otherwise enjoyed. I think the most he did all season was a B plot in one episode where he was mistaken for a droid. I hope he at least gets a spotlight episode in season 2.
I think he adds some interesting nuance to the rebel alliance, it makes the organization feel more realistic and diverse. His methods tend to be much more violent than those normally employed by the rebels, which brings up debates about the distinction between a "terrorist" and a "freedom fighter", but at the same time, he is also shown to be a more proactive guerrilla fighter than the rebels who follow the leadership of politicians like Mon Mothma. I remember them green, devil-looking guy, who was Ruby's master, looks like the same creature (only red) on Tatooine, in the Most.Eisley cantina during A NEW HOPE.
The music in the episode where the bad batch rescues Gregor is totally a reference to A New Hope. In the episode where Tarkin tells an admiral overseeing project war mantle, he says, "Then I leave this in your capable hands... admiral." This feels like a reference to Empire Strikes Back when Vader was chopping down a bunch of high ranking officers and saying that phrase repeatedly.
Just to add some Easter eggs, the training droids have the same sound as the dark troopers from Force Unleashed. The alarm on Kamino in the last episode of the bad batch is also from Force Unleashed.

The early Stormtroopers being trained by the Clone Commandos also resemble the Imperial Naval Commandos from Force Unleashed, I imagine that design was also based on the McQuarrie concept art.
1. Echo turns his head when Gregor said he got blown up once 2. Devaronian kid getting his horn cut off is a reference to Vizago 3. Underwater creature on Kamino

Tantis makes me think that it would be cool to see you periodically do legends storyline breakdowns in a similar manner to how you do breakdowns of the comics and the books coming out for the Disney canon.
The predix 'Ord' is used to denote an ordnance world - a vital supply and logistics hub for the Republic. Ord Mantell, Ord Trasi, Ord Pardron, and many other worlds share this designation, both in the Legends universe as well as modern Disney lore.
the reason they gave Tarkin the promotion to Governor and Grand Moff so early is because originally Rampart was introduced as Vice Admiral in the second episode of the Clone Wars, obviously being one rank below Admiral, since they didnt want to keep saying Vice Admiral the whole season since its takes longer and is more difficult to say every time, so they promoted Tarkin to Grand Moff/Gov of the Outer Rim leaving Rampart to take the position of simply Admiral so that way when mentioned the characters can easily say Admiral Rampart instead of the much longer to take and harder to say Vice Admiral Rampart as you can see it easily rolls off the tounge much better when you drop then Vice...
The scene where they open fire on Kamino was to me, very clearly an Alien 3 reference, not in its plot, but the way they cycle through empty locations within the facility while the score plays.
11:18 Actually two, In Homecoming When She Speaks To Her Father Alone She Spoke In Her Native Language. And In Hera’s Hero’s When She Was Trying To Disguise Herself She Also Spoke In Her Native Language.

Not an error about tarkin being grand moff. That insignia denotes both grand moff and governor, as seen on governor pryce in rebels. He was actually referred to as governor for the first time in that episode as well.
The Raxus featured in The Bad Batch as well as in 'Heroes on Both Sides' in The Clone Wars is officially known as Raxus Secundus. Raxus Prime, the trash planet, is the primary world in the Raxus System.

I know that the answer is probably put somewhere, or I am completely wrong, but the black haired girl at 4:33 looks a lot like Iden Versio from the story mode of Star Wars Battlefront 2. The voice is even similar, and the fact that she was the only one to survive Crosshair's betrayal seems to point to that. And we never got any of the names of any of them.
@@skinnyj123 Iden was barely into her 20s in Battlefront 2, as were all the members of Inferno. If she was alive by this point, she'd not even be a teenager. Also her entire backstory is spread out in the novel "Inferno Squad" and theres no mentions of her being alive anywhere near the Clone Wars.
Until Zahn wrote the canon series Thrawn and Thrawn: Ascendancy, "Thrawn trilogy" was a perfectly reasonable way to refer to Zahn's original trilogy. He is clearly referring to it when he said "Legends Thrawn trilogy", especially because there aren't any other Thrawn trilogies in Legends, only a duology and a smattering of other books like Outbound Flight
I believe Governor and Grand Moff have the same insignia plaque so Tarkin’s promotion in the novel would still hold true since he’s only a governor in The Bad Batch
The v wing only saw little action because is was finally mass produced in the end of the clone wars but then was replaced by the “state of the art” tie fighter
Tarkin wasn't promoted to Grand Moff in The Bad Batch. He was promoted to Governor and Moff, not the Grand. Price in Rebels was also seen with the same ranking plaque as Tarkin, yet she's an Governor. Ease to say that Tarkin is also an Governor at this point in Bad Batch.

Not an error about tarkin being grand moff. That insignia denotes both grand moff and governor, as seen on governor pryce in rebels. He was actually referred to as governor for the first time in that episode as well.
10:34 Senator Singh is voiced by Alexander Siddig, who plays Doctor Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
7:31. This was also done in rebels so hera, kallus, rex, wolffe, gregor, hondo and ketsu can get on lothal to save ezra's group
Amazing video!
The design of Singh, the Separatist leader, is a reference to the French artist Mobius.
The line is not the same Tarkin says in Roque One, he does say you may fire when ready but adds on the end single reactor ignition.
“Florida Man tries to greet child, gets gunned down by four similar looking militiamen”
Ready for Bad Batch season 2
Also fairly sure the interrogation droid is similar to the one that thrawn uses on hera in season 4 of rebels
one of the video game cabinets in Cid's place, the aurebesh translates to "Space Invader"
At the time we didn’t realize it, but Omega riding the baby Rancor would be recreated with Boba Fett riding his rancor.
The Raxus featured in The Bad Batch as well as in 'Heroes on Both Sides' in The Clone Wars is officially known as Raxus Secundus. Raxus Prime, the trash planet, is the primary world in the Raxus System.
We do know what Echuta means though. In the mandalorian episode 1, when trying to get the mandalorians attention, they say "Echuta, Mando". Which is then translated into "Hey, Mando"
So Threepio thought another droid saying "Hey" was rude? I knew Threepio was fragile, but wow...
@@JdeMolay He was probably upset about not getting a formal greeting from a fellow protocol droid.
We knew what echuta meant through decades of books and games (KOTOR specifically), and it did not mean hey lol.
@@greythumbshenanigans559 What did it mean?
@@JdeMolay In the books, usually 'f you, f off.' In KOTOR, I could have sworn it was used for sonuvabish. I mean, 3p0 definitely took offense to it in the movies lol.
in the premiere when tech tells echo that he is "more machine now than man"
You can see a crashed Hammerhead in the backround in one of the wide shots on the junkyard planet.
Ok two notes the ride on on the transport.. is also used in rebels by Hera on recommendation Hondo ... and the second we may still see the Boba and Cad Bane show down in the Book of Boba Fett....
But but... the Ghost was the ship to REALLY attach to a shuttle! Timer 7:35
Maybe still one: the dragon omega found on the comet lights up as the spacewhales in rebels.
I thought the venator they visited on Bracca was the one Jaro Tapal deliberately crashed there.
The ithorian guy in Sid’s cantina seems to be based off the action figure for “hammerhead” in mid eisly cantina…which had a blue unitard for some reason instead of a worn linen brown shirt
I did not realize the 2 guys in the bar were from the prison in season 7! That isn't an important detail but really cool none the less.
Compared to;
128 Facts, "Easter Eggs," and connections to other Star Wars content in the first season of Star Wars; Resistance. 👍
101 in The Mandalorian season One. (Etc. Etc.)
Pieces of the cinematic universe is attached to TV.
I heard somewhere that Iden is too young to be her but they might retcon it
@@skinnyj123 Iden was barely into her 20s in Battlefront 2, as were all the members of Inferno. If she was alive by this point, she'd not even be a teenager.
Also her entire backstory is spread out in the novel "Inferno Squad" and theres no mentions of her being alive anywhere near the Clone Wars.
Raxus is officially named Raxus Secundus, so Raxus Prime is definitely still around in the system.
I was eating easter eggs while you were talking about the easter eggs.
One very small correction. Both Weyland and Mount Tantiss originally appear in the Heir to the Empire books, not the Thrawn trilogy.
No one seems to mention that they sampled voice lines from the Purge Troopers for those training droids on kamino.
Awesome Vid
you know i really wished the kaminoans had tried doing a clone rebellion the way they did in legends. that would’ve been awesome
When Grand Lore Master Alex speaks, I listen. What an impressive piece of work these videos are.
In regards to the Raxus thing
Raxus Prime is the junkyard planet
Raxus Secundus is the CIS homeworld
This is the case in both Canon and Legends
When I was writing a chapter for one of my Star Wars Rebels fanfictions I thought Raxus Prime was the Separatist capital as I mentioned it.
I notice the Imperial recruit Mercenary or military organisation into the army because they couldn't increase enough so the civilian who join the army was just a waste disposable to declining the population or distracted the rebellion without found the real empire location or plans

Well done.
