I met Bruce and Adrian in Santa Barbara California. In a very small bar and live band club, this was during Dick son’s solo album accident of birth. What a show it was and after the show me and my boys were chilling in the parking lot and there were a few other people, suddenly Bruce open the tour bus door and the band walked out and started hanging out with us RoyZ Adrian and Bruce such a down to earth bunch of dude’s, I still have the pictures. A night to remember for ever. I couldn’t believe I was chilling drinking beer with my favorite singer and Adrian Smith it was awesome

All three are just equal in terms of objective vocal skill, even though all three are also better than the others in different ways. Halford definitely has the strongest head voice (think Painkiller), but Bruce and Dio have more power and stamina.

I loved Iron Maiden since the 80s until their latest album. I love Bruce's solo albums as well. Iron Maiden has always been my favorite band but to say he is better than Luciano Pavarotti is insane. And my statement takes nothing from Bruce. But I really love these isolated vocal tracks.
I was waiting for Bruce to tell here who he thinks is the greatest singer of all time, but that was not the case. Anyway, Bruce is great too. Singing is not a competition.

Bruce’s voice is objectively way more powerful than Freddie’s, not even debatable. You could argue Freddie was stronger in terms of his versatility and his ability to hit higher notes without resorting to distortion, but by no means did he have more power or stamina.

Freddy for all his talents could not sing at Bruce's furious range. Picture Freddy singing an entire Iron Maiden Concert, he'd walk off with a strained voice.
@@StaticYonder Eric Adams isn’t close. Bruce has way better technique and is just a far better singer objectively. Eric is better at screams and singing high pitched, but thats it. Dio is harder to beat for sure.
Bruce’s voice is way more powerful and he has much more stamina. Maiden songs are far more vocally demanding than Queen songs and that’s not even debatable.

Sorry, but there are many better singers with wider vocal span. Even in heavy metal. Michael Kiske, Olaf Hayer, Eugent Bushpepa, Fabio Leone and many, many others. Not even close. Even those singers would admit Dickinson is better. You literally just listed a bunch of Bruce copy cats who have generic power metal voices. Bruce’s voice is more powerful and iconic than any of those guys. You just want to sound cool by listing a bunch of nobody singers who no one listens to or cares about and pretending they’re better than a legend like Bruce. And what’s funny is you didn’t even list the best power/progressive metal singers. That would be Roy Khan, Jorn Lande, Russell Allen, and Geoff Tate. I mean, Fabio Leone? Lol!!!!!! 😂😂😂 also Kiske has the most pitchy voice I have ever heard. He doesn’t have even close to Bruce’s power, stamina, or control, he just has great range that’s it.

I disagree about the versatile claim. Bruce and Dio both stuck to a pretty particular style. They also both have shockingly powerful voices so pretty neck and neck there. And even if I were to grant you that Dio was better in these two areas it would only be by a small margin or a big one, so how was was he way better?

Definitely the best vocalist, also has an IQ of 160 to 170. A Polymath I'm told, quite an interesting fella for sure.
I've been a fan of IM since the era of dinosaurs :) but still, the greatest of the greats was Ronnie James Dio.
