for a great singer dive into judas priest. freewheel burning, or hell bent for leather. i liked your reaction. it was kind of funny and reasonably technical. the best parts were when you weren't really paying attention and just enjoying the music.
They make the coolest effect. Everytime I listen to Iron Maiden I feel like I'm transported to the Middle Ages and I'm galloping the Eurasian plains alongside the hordes of Attila or Genghis Khan. 😂😂😂
For me, and because it’s MUSIC, i care the most and first about the sound and the music! Then, it’s great or ok to hear decent-great lyrics like most maiden especially emotionally, aesthetically, artistically and educationally
Bruce Dickinson is an amazing singer with a lot of other, not so hidden, talents. Licensed pilot, Bruce is the primary pilot of the bands touring plane. Olympic level fencer, taking a silver medal back in 2013 at the age of 54.
@@rothed16 Not quite, by law he's unable to fly big commercial airliners anymore but he can still fly smaller aircraft right up until the moment he drops dead which hopefully won't be for another 100 years or something lol
He was a great fencer and did train with the GB Olympic squad, but never competed at the Olympics unfortunately. You may be getting confused with the fact that he had a show match with the gold medal winner from the 2012 Olympics.
They absolutely killed it in concert, too! I saw them a couple of times. BTW Iron Maiden actually bought their own 747 airliner with a custom paint job, and Bruce went to flight school and got the license so he could fly them all over the world.
Children of the damned is my favorite from NotB. Bruce shows incredible vocal skills and emotions. Also, shoutout to Clive Burr, the drummer, you are missed buddy. ❤ Up the Irons!
I freaking love your reactions Maggie - sometimes I disagree with your take on things but your energy is infectious and you obviously know your stuff. And taking on metal is glorious Lady
I saw these guys live two and a half times in my mid-late-teens in Germany; we had a bit too much apple schnapps on the way to the third show, along with the 80's headbanger version of an 'edible' (nudge nudge wink wink), and I mostly only remember a never-ending roar and super filthy floor... But these guys rocked harder and with more energy than any band I've ever seen, before or since, and what's crazy, if you check out videos of their most recent tours, only a few years ago, they sound EXACTLY the same with EXACTLY the same energy, IF NOT MORE! It's incredible how well they've endured, and what's more, us coots can see them as adults and get a second chance to bang heads, and new generations can discover them and rock out or be horribly offended, depending on skin thickness! Love it! Also, Dave Murray's solo just scorches in this one!
Iron Maiden IS heavy metal. And this is epical Iron Maiden. Good reaction. 🤘 The song is about the conflicts between European settlers and Native Americans. The crazy movie segments interspersed with the band performing is from "The Uncovered Wagon" which was a spoof of "The Covered Wagon" which depicted Native Americans as 'bad guys'. Not sure what the overall message adds up to.
Bruce Dickenson has an incredible 4 octave range, and insane breath control; in "Number of the Beast" he hits and holds a G5 for at least 13 seconds.....
Maiden is one of those bands who, even if you don’t like their music, you have to respect them for what they do. They are at the top through ability, identity and sheer bloody hard work! In their early years they toured hard with the longest breaks between gigs being when they changed continents (usually about 4 days). During the early stages of last year people were commenting on the band seeming to play slightly slower. When they finished that stretch of several months of gigs it was revealed drummer Nicko McBrain had a stroke around the new year! Well, given that, it shows even the inconvenience of a stroke or cancer won’t stop Iron Maiden!
You should check out a few songs from Maiden's show at the Hammersmith Odeon in March of 1982 (as long as you don't run into copyright issues). Bruce had only been in the band for 6 months, he was 23 years old & the band had only been on the road for about two weeks. Their performance was absolutely fierce. I'd recommend songs like 'Murders In The Rue Morgue', 'Wrathchild', 'Children Of The Damned', 'The Number Of The Beast', '22 Acacia Avenue' and 'Sanctuary'.
Nice reaction! Thank you for reacting to my favorite band! I've been their fan for decades, and I got to say to you that, if you're an opera singer and enjoyed their music so much, your next step should be reacting to "Phantom of the opera", one of Maiden's hits. And if you want some more suggestions: "The rime of the ancient mariner"; "Wasted years"; "Alexander the great"; "Hell on Earth"; "The clansman". Up the irons! 🤘
XLNT song/video to review! Have been HUGE follower of Maiden since 1981-82 via MTV(When they Still played 100% music videos 24/7!)-lol. Bassist Steve Harris has Always been driving force, chief songwriter & KILLER bass player, done w/out picks BTW! At the time this song, & succeeding albums came out, song subject matter dealt mainly w/Egyptology, which served as motivational evolution for "Eddie", the band's mascot. Their most recent release has seen them branch off toward Japanese themes=Senjutsu...Keep these reviews coming, Maggie....A-L-O-H-A from Hawaii
The first time I saw iron maiden was 1982. One of the top five best bands I have seen multiple times. Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer also pilots the iron maiden 747 jet the band is upstairs and all of the crew flies downstairs. Always, Flight 666
Dear Mag, sine you're on metal, I submit for your listening pleasure my favorite metal vocalist, dubbed THE VOICE OF MELODIC METAL: ROB ROCK. SONG: FOREVER. His high range is sure to elevate your spirits as well. Peace & Love.
Bruce Dickinson's has a pro-ported IQ of 167. He is an avid soccer player and fan. He holds a commercial pilot's license, and has captained Iron Maiden's tour charter plane, named Ed Force One. Bruce has a vocal range of 3 octaves and 11 semitones; It spans from D2-C♯6. He has been nicknamed "Air Raid Siren". Imagine him maintaining that voice for 200+ concerts per tour.
he is also friends with Mikey McBrian & family (Ice Pilots). Buffalo Joe (Mikey's dad) has great respect for Bruce and he let Bruce fly one of his DC-3 planes. Bruce showed interest in getting a float plane ratting and Joe said sure i'll teach you.
Check out First to Eleven (F211)'s cover with Audra Miller as the lead singer. They do it justice.

I don't get it when people say that it's harsh lyrics. The lyrics in the song are more polished than most, probably all, rap songs. I don't get the double standard in the US - but I love Your reactions Maggie.
These are people who believe the Indians were living in peace and harmony and talking to the trees and spirits. In reality they were warring tribes constantly attacking are fighting one another. Shhhh....
Most upbeat song about genocide in the history of music. Btw, I am a classically trained soprano who primarily sings rock these days, and that snarl is the only way I can belt above the passagio. If I don’t either shift the placement as far forward as I possibly can, or slip into a lofty head voice, the note comes out strangled and I choke on it. But get that snarl and a little extra air on it, it slides out like butter.
Wait until you hear Bruce Dickinson perform the GK Chesterton hymn "O God Of Earth And Altar" (better known to Iron Maiden fans as "Revelations"), backed by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues. Singing the first verse without a microphone. In sweats. In Canterbury Cathedral.
For someone that was at their last consert in Stockholm, circus..... Bruce is a genius vocalist.... his voice is so good :D.. Ahhh.... I am a huge Iron Maiden fan tho... so I am quite biased -.- I am not that fond of modern music, since it´s mostly just generic.... half is probably fake aswell... so I prefer the old times where people actully did sing without vocaloids and things like that...
Believe it or not, run to the hills, while that is a great song, it is by no means Bruce Dickinson's best effort. I'm not knocking him at all. I'm an Iron Maiden fan. Have been for about forty five years. You got a lot to choose from. I'mma hip you to a band called Steel Heart. Not really my kinda jams but the vocals are impressive. The song, I'll Never Let You Go.

Look up van Halen (Hot for teacher ) proper English 👌...❤
From today's music.
for a great singer dive into judas priest. freewheel burning, or hell bent for leather. i liked your reaction. it was kind of funny and reasonably technical. the best parts were when you weren't really paying attention and just enjoying the music.
Please have a look at Stan Walker ...I am it's a beautiful song
Something totally out of left field. 12 Foot Ninja, 1 Hand Killing.
Im glad that she likes and enjoy his BIG hard diction🥸😎
No matter how many times I hear this song, the bassist and drummer never fail to amaze me.
They make the coolest effect. Everytime I listen to Iron Maiden I feel like I'm transported to the Middle Ages and I'm galloping the Eurasian plains alongside the hordes of Attila or Genghis Khan. 😂😂😂
Iron Maiden - come for the music......leave with the History! 🤘
For me, and because it’s MUSIC, i care the most and first about the sound and the music! Then, it’s great or ok to hear decent-great lyrics like most maiden especially emotionally, aesthetically, artistically and educationally
No doubt, Sabaton in much the same way.
❤
No
Tu no
I'm going to be 59, Maiden was so spectacular when I was 16 years old, it was " the new wave of British heavy metal" and Maiden led it.❤🤘🤟
The drummer in this song is Clive Burr,so this would be from '79 or before '83 when Nicko McBrain joined the group.
Bruce Dickinson is an amazing singer with a lot of other, not so hidden, talents. Licensed pilot, Bruce is the primary pilot of the bands touring plane. Olympic level fencer, taking a silver medal back in 2013 at the age of 54.
Apparently he's aged out of flying 😢
No longer able to 😢

@@The_Stranger1986 so glad to hear! Ty for that
A published author as well, if I'm not mistaken.
They absolutely killed it in concert, too! I saw them a couple of times. BTW Iron Maiden actually bought their own 747 airliner with a custom paint job, and Bruce went to flight school and got the license so he could fly them all over the world.
It is a crime that Iron Maiden is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Fantastic! I never tire of seeing people’s reactions to Iron Maiden 🤘
Children of the damned is my favorite from NotB. Bruce shows incredible vocal skills and emotions.
Also, shoutout to Clive Burr, the drummer, you are missed buddy. ❤
Up the Irons!
I still say this is my absolute favorite Iron Maiden songs and its in my top 10 favorite hard rock songs of all time and hey, you said my name, YAY!!!
For me is that normal Music for more than 40 years
Saw them live this past year it was incredible. They even did one of my favorite the riting on the wall. Up the irons 🤟
Up the Iron's
🤘😜🤘
Saw them in 1982! Amazing concert!
Thank God I was a teenager during the late 70's and early 80's. 😉
Bruce will never be duplicated; I feel bless to have seen them in their prime! LONG LIVE MAIDEN!
Legends of Metal Iron Maiden and this legendary song run to the hills🤘🎤🎸🎸🎸🎸🥁💯✅🔉🔊🔉🔉🔊🔉🔊🔉🔊🔉🎵🎵🎵🔥🔥🔥🤘💯✅❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Saw this band 4 times during the 80's. They put on a great show
Bruce Dickinson is such a powerhouse vocalist. And listen to that band! All of them can do it live too. No auto tune kids…just talent!
aka the human air raid siren
You have a great natural voice. More bass & resonance than expected! You do a great job with these reactions 👏
I freaking love your reactions Maggie - sometimes I disagree with your take on things but your energy is infectious and you obviously know your stuff. And taking on metal is glorious Lady
this gallop rythm!!!
It's impossible not to enjoy this song, great voice by Bruce
Still touring, but who knows for how much longer. Everyone should have 1 of their concerts under their belt
Iron Maiden,once heard,never unheard🎼🎵🎵🎶🎶❤️
I really like the flight of Icarus, hallowed be thy name, and children of the damned. Maiden have a really great catalog of music
I saw these guys live two and a half times in my mid-late-teens in Germany; we had a bit too much apple schnapps on the way to the third show, along with the 80's headbanger version of an 'edible' (nudge nudge wink wink), and I mostly only remember a never-ending roar and super filthy floor... who cares it's a heavy metal tune and it's a fun one. the message is listen to it and enjoy it
This band is awesome !
This is one of the best examples of Steve Harris' "galloping" beat. And of why Bruce is called "'The Human Air Raid Siren".
That guitar solo is killer!
You HAVE to hear Number Of The Beast … that scream near the beginning is insane… at least as high as this one
I've read Bruce used to roller blade and belt out their songs to keep up his lung capacity.
I love Iron Maiden
Bruce Dickenson has an incredible 4 octave range, and insane breath control; in "Number of the Beast" he hits and holds a G5 for at least 13 seconds.....
Actually it's A5 on highest part of number of the number.

Bad language warning is only for the ultra US sensitivities, the rest of the world isn't worried about language

Many vocal coaches and singers who react have been missing the jewel that Hear N Aid's "Stars" is!!!
The is also another official animated version of this, animated by Camp Kaos.
Despite anything people may think, heavy metal actually criticizes things that matter, for example war
There are many great bands throughout rock history. Some true legends for all time. But Iron Maiden borders on the indescribable.
This was my theme song in Desert Storm '91. General Schwarzkopf was a genius! We definitely had them running for their lives😏
Mine was Judas Priest's "Night Crawler." I seemed to be up all night running missions. 😂😂😂
I Like Anyone Who Can Make A Guitar BARK!!
i just goi just liked this video, i was like number 666, what a better way to start a Maiden react....number of the beast...
ACES HIGH has to be next!
Acording to my sister, this is the song they should play when a tsunami is coming
Just the "run to the hills, run for your life" parte, of course
Yes, Holy Cheese Muffins. The wonderful days of 80's heavy metal.
And the lead singer is a qualified airline pilot!
My "nemesis" song as a drummer lol 😂😂😂 😅😊
Iron Maiden and moonchild ! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽Great !

exactly what's it's supposed to do.

This is why Steve Harris, founder and Bassist nicknamed Bruce. "Human Air Siren"
The gold standard is "Hallowed Be Thy Name" live in Hammersmith 1982. You won't believe some of the notes on that.
I have this song on my metal playlist
Giddy up ... Timeless tune

Love the song it sounds like you're galloping on a horse 🐴 which is cool.
Hallowed by thy Name or Fear the Dark Live.
-" O my gosh, o my god Oo My gosh!; i'm coming!." Hmm.. sounds like she's really is coming 😁
Fun Fact Here! Did You Know Bruce Dickenson Is Actually A Qualified Pilot!
Don't tell such old Maltesers...🤣🤣🤣 Actually He has retired flying the Ed Force One some years ago...🤓
He is also a gold medalist in international fencing. Probably where he gets his physical stamina on stage.

i didn't know intenseness was a word
You should check out King Diamond in his two bands. Great vocals

The best version of this song is in the live album ''Live After Death'', in my opinion....
You need to hear Blondie's voice on Call Me. For real.

have you done a reaction to Diana Damrau's Queen of the Night Aria?
nevermind just found it
