Body hair loss. Male pattern baldness on the scalp is genetic. She should have clarified this a bit more. If you start losing chest hair and facial hair, then this is from low T. It's the real reason why men grow beards. The comparison is women with long healthy hair, which is a signal of good health.

Lack of sleep is definitely critical to your health and well being. I have probably spent a decade plus sleep deprived due to working overnight shifts and not having a set schedule. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, given a CPAP machine and been more cautious of my health. That alone definitely makes a world of difference.

Perfect timing of this video as I just left the gym half an hour ago. If you find yourself having extreme mood swings and being highly irritable, then you for sure could be suffering from low T levels. However, having too much testosterone could also lead to these same traits.

Irritability and mood swings might be a symptom of a lot of things - stress, lack of sleep, blood sugar levels imbalance... assholes, taxes, continuously losing in Trivial Pursuit. There are just some many possibilities.
I'd say this particular symptom is the most likely to stem from other factors than low testosterone levels.
I know using yourself as an example is a bad idea, but I had a problem with mood swings and irritability a while back - couldn't understand why, went to test my testosterone levels and they came back fine.

I've been experiencing an immense amount of hair loss recently and a low sex drive which is kind of embarrassing during hook-ups.
Ever since covid struck i quit my job and didn't get enough sleep because of video games and couldn't exercise. And all of these reasons combined most probably killed my T levels and the symptoms started showing with me being clueless and I learned about this recently before your video but your video is a great reminder that just changing your lifestyle condition can be enough to regain all of your T levels and prevent any further hair loss and low and embarrassing sex drive.

I am 55 and had the test when I was about 50. The test came back normal and my doctor recommended even more exercise to counter the stress I was experiencing from life and a natural supplement. The last piece of advice was diet... I went carnivore, reduced my stress level and take a natural booster called Raw-T pre-workout. My wife and I "play" 4 or 5 times a week. 😎

I only wish that I had watched this video sooner then It would’ve all made perfect sense to me a long time ago!! Thanks soooo much again Courtney for helping me understand why this individual was behaving the way that they were!! In my previous relationship, I felt so confused because of my low sex drive when normally it was not like that at all and it damaged my relationship and intimacy issues. Since then, I have changed my diet to include more fruits and vegetables, frequent the gym more regularly, and get an increased 8-9 hours of sleep rather than my formerly inconsistent 5-7 hours of sleep. Now, my reduced sex drive, unmanageable mood swings, and stress is a thing of the past from how bad it was.

I'm a doctor and I was just pseudo-diagnosed w/ LOW T (they need to take the test fasting to confirm). I asked my doctor to check my T because I could tell something was off. Also, my VIt D is very low (there's a correlation).
I left practice to start a venture-backed technology company. The past 4 years have been insanely stressful, regularly working 80-100 hours per week. I've gained about 40 lbs. Started going to the gym fairly regularly and have struggled to lose weight, even though I was an athlete in college, and have never struggled.
The beautiful thing is that now that I have confirmed, I can work to correct it.
Good stuff Courtney - In general, men should be going to the doctor every year, even if they feel great.

I had my testosterone level checked after finding my libido had dropped off the face of the planet. My levels were normal, so my Doctor's next suggestion was to check my prostate, which wasn't nearly as an intimidating or uncomfortable experience as I'd imagined it would be. Thankfully everything was fine, though my libido is still nowhere to be found, but now I encourage any of my male friends who suddenly find they're experiencing similar issues to not do the usual male thing of just telling yourself "Nah, it'll be fine", please go to your Doctor, be honest (They've heard and seen it many times before) and get these things checked professionally. At least you'll know everything is OK, but it might be what catches the early stages of much more serious health problems such as cancer, and early diagnosis and treatment genuinely can make the difference between life and death.

Yes guys, testosterone is the key to all your problems, happiness and future success so go out and move your body. If you find weightlifting boring and you're struggling to motivate yourself, find exercises that give you at least a little bit of joy first. For example, I find jogging really boring so I play football instead. I run way more when I kick the ball and can never get bored of playing football and feel great afterwards. I played football this morning and am feeling very energetic and fresh right now (testosterone surge in the body). Literally, all your problems and worries go away. Once you develop a habit it'll get easier and easier for you to do other less exciting exercises such as weightlifting, gymnastics, etc. so guys, work hard on your testosterone and treat it like your baby. And thanks Courtney for bringing up this very important and pivotal topic and all your effort. Truly spectacular and outstanding work.

3:52 I brought that up in one of my comments that testosterone makes effort feel good. Not only should you be waking up standing at attention, you should also be on a wake up and jump out of bed, and be ready to exercise like I am. I know not everybody likes to train fasted and to train first thing in the morning, it's just an example. As long as I get my four or five complete sleep cycles, I can literally kip out of bed

I'm 41 years old and have been on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for a few years.
My signs were, being difficult to focus on school or work tasks to the point I would get headaches. Depression. Fatigue/insomnia. Inability to build muscle no matter how much I worked out. Couldn't grow a beard.
I have zero signs of hair loss thankfully. My sex drive is anything but low. I was not fat, just skinny. Now a few years later I look like I actually work out with no change in my diet or exercise plan from before.
If you have any worries about low T get a blood test from your doctor.

Just to be helpful, just not any exercise can increase testosterone. I cannot cite any specific study at this moment but high-intensity exercise does indeed increase testosterone in most men. But cardio like long-distance running can have a negative effect. Long distance running will not reduce testosterone to a dangerous level but it certainly will not be a boost like high intensity exercise.

An addtional effect of low testeosterone is trouble losing weight and reduced mental clarity. I was struggling with fatigue, weight loss, and trouble concentrating. I got tested and my testosterone was low. Started TRT and feel amazing. Take control of yourself, gents.

yeah exactly, the exercise/working out is everything! in the summer of 2020, i was 300 pounds (i'm 5'9" @ 49 years old) i finally got a clue and made a few SMALL modifications (very small) and now I'm 170 pounds, feel amazing, look the best I ever have. I have muscle tone, a jaw line, a waist line etc.... but more importantly, I sleep so much better, I am sharper during the day, I get much more done with my day. And yeah, I know when I was 300 pounds and doing nothing I was having some of the symptoms of low testosterone. But yeah, just a few tiny changes to my life (i just started with walking 20 minutes a day, bought a food scale and downloaded a calorie tracker app) yeah that's it. That's all it took for me to lose 125 pounds. Now everything just works better and when a friend asks me how does it feel to have lost all that weight, i just say, everything just gets easier. That's it right there.

Look into testosterone replacement therapy. It made a huge difference for me. When I first tested my T was at the level for a person 85 years old, lower for a person more than twice my age. I noticed aside from weight loss, adding muscle, the first major effects were being able to sleep better, the constant fatigue went away, and I had a huge change in mental clarify.

Small tip to exercise/testosteron - note that this knowledge comes from other guys on the gym but worked for me and those who told me that - NEVER skip leg days! stimulating legs will stimulate testosteron production and other perspective which actually connect to that and what made me never skip leg days. Legs are fundament for your body, literally so how can your chest grow when there are two sticks to support it? Take care of your fundaments and the rest will follow (with suffecient amount of work out of course, chest wont grow if you will only do squats) But that really worked for me and since I regulary train legs other muscles seems to be more motivated to grow.

I worked on night shift for 3.5 years and during that time I was barely sleeping 5 hours a night. Let's just say it wrecked my testosterone levels. Once I left that job I did consult with a doctor and got tested. I didn't get testosterone shots but they gave me a few natural remedies and it did help improve things.

Exercising and eating right can also positively affect your quality of sleep, as heavier people often suffer from sleep apnea. I am speaking from experience. I can get eight hours and not feel well-rested at all. Ironically, I never get sick (in reference to you mentioning how you got sick more when you weren't sleeping well). But yeah, #1 and #2 can help with #3.

My wife says all the time that exercise is key to testosterone, specially cardio where you not only raise your heart rate but raise it and keep it up for at least 20 minutes minimum. At least 3 times a week. It is being my experience that that is so true. I am 43, 180 lbs, 5'8" a 32 waist, great physical shape, not shredded, but fit, I eat very health, drink lots of water and specially have enough sleep.

I enjoy exercising, my mood is under better control and the SD is back to normal also I've seen drastic weight loss.

I’m 34, work out five days a week, not overweight, not really stressed, no hair loss. Started having ED out of the blue. I got tested and was extremely low. Don’t know why it happened. Tried a natural T booster supplement. I got tested again and it went slightly lower. I started getting headaches, irritable, and feeling constantly fatigued. Urologist wanted to try a fertility drug to wake my body back up and produce its own again. It almost tripled my T levels and now I’m on the high side for my age. I have to get tested again in a few months to monitor it. Some guys get hold of TRT and abuse it for body building but once you do that your body will stop producing it’s own and there’s serious health risks to being too low or high. There’s tons of guys abusing it all over Instagram but they usually don’t talk about it.

6:06 - "When I was working corporate and I was only getting six hours of sleep a night I was staying up way too late and waking up super early I was sick all the time. Since I quit my corporate job and I make sure that I get eight hours of sleep a night, I have only been sick I think once in three years." Another factor may have been working in a germ factory office. Many office workers feel pressured to come to work even when they don't feel well. Crowded indoor environments are tailor-made for spreading respiratory viruses. As we learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, respiratory viruses spread via the tiny droplets of mucus and saliva that people expel by respiring, and especially when talking, singing, coughing, or sneezing. The probability of transmission increases with proximity and duration; a long work day at an office maximizes both. No matter how much or little sleep we get, the only way to get a respiratory infection is by being exposed to infectious agents, for example by inhaling the snot balls from a sick coworker in the next cubicle.

Guys, get tested as she said before jumping to conclusions. These are also symptoms you can experience when you have Sleep Apnea. I recommend to go to a sleep clinic if you have the symptoms and snore a lot. If you go to another doctor, they might prescribe antidepressants or other meds and worsen your condition. Sleep apnea often goes unnoticed as diagnosis

Excess DHT (dihydrotestosterone) can cause hair loss, primarily around the temple area is a giveaway sign.
There are natural DHT inhibitors, both oral and topical that can be used if high DHT is an issue.

  • @evilwhitey98

Hair loss on the head/scalp is often caused by high DHT. When dudes start on steroid cycles and use high testosterone loads their DHD goes through the roof and causes hair loss. Low T is rarely a cause of hair loss of the scalp.
Low amounts of body and facial hair on the other hand ARE signs of low testosterone.

It depends, some people genetically don't have much body hair. Asians and Indians and American Indians don't have much hair. Where as certain Europeans are freaking hairy. I don't think that has anything to do with testosterone.

Courtney it’s so important to bring up low testosterone issues as a lot of men do not realise they have low testosterone and how it impacts their lives. Just to note a lot of guys who work out in gyms take testosterone boosters to help build muscle and recover so that is also a natural way to build muscle and burn fat added with a balanced diet, and the more muscle you build the less fat cells you will store therefore more testosterone produced in the body!

No lost of libido, nore "dong" problems, no mood swings, no fatigue (only related to work and exercices, but repaired by sleeping), I had a weight problem sometimes ago but I am fin now.
