- In this video we summarise the best and worst of vanlife and life generally in 2023 and share with you some of our plans for 2024.
This is episode 105 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

I went to Northern Ireland last October. You don’t get far because everyone talks to you. Wonderful place if you fancy somewhere different. I walked up the Shankill and the Falls roads and never felt threatened. Just a thought.
I would love to go to Ireland, it’s been on our list for a while just haven’t got round to it yet. I think we need to plan a definite trip there and get it into diaries. Thanks for the tip. 🙏🤗🚌❤️

Happy new year 🥳. If you are thinking about Cairngorms, maybe consider a trip along Royal Deeside, lots to see including Balmoral Castle, lots of wild swimming, walking and running opportunities. There are nice locations to stay in Ballater and a really nice site at Braemar which is perfect for walking.

We also had delam in our Burstener..they used dodgy glue 2015/6 - 2019..we were lucky and the full cost was covered as we had recently purchased the van used from a dealer so was covered under the 12month warranty..hassle tho!!! Hope it goes well as they need the van for a good while 🙈
I know. Soooo inconvenient especially when you are full time. Yet to work out where we will stay for the 3 weeks they estimate. 🙏🤗🚌❤️

Good update ladies, could I pick your brains on Glenmore campsite please? Is there 4G signal and phone signal please? Thanks
Mmmmm. We have an EE sim in our router and had enough to watch TV. Sue has Vodafone which was marginally better than my O2 but it wavered. There is a spot by the visitors centre where I could get better signal, but overall not brilliant on any network. From memory there is WiFi on the site, but probably best to check if this is essential. I managed video uploads by going into Aviemore where good 4G. Hope that’s helpful.
