- We have a very shocking incident this week which scares us as it highlights the fragility of life.
Otherwise it's a bit of a mish mash of various vanlife jobs; service MOT, roof cleaning and some silicon sealing on the roof. The exciting part of this week was when we met, in person, for the first time, Steve and Lorna of Wandering By Choice. We have been following each other for about 18 months so it was fabulous to meet in person.

This is episode 118 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

Before I retired, I worked in a veterinary hospital as a vet tech so I always had access to doctors which came in handy over the years. I was grateful for that. :)
What a brave boy you’ve had to be Archie-staying in the vets feeling rotten without your mums and your sister. It’s so good to see you looking so much better now thank heavens. And, wow! What a great new buggy; much easier to get in for a rest and much easier for your mums to manage too. We’ve been taking Sasha out for some fresh air in one of Sapphi’s old dog buggies. She only needs quite a small buggy and although she is bemused as to why she has to actually be IN the buggy (pain killers are doing the job), being a little dog, she is rather enjoying the extra height being in the buggy gives her. We must be careful she doesn’t get ‘too superior’😜🐶……. You lovely doggies are enough to make all your mums right nervous wrecks I think. I’m really relieved that at least your sister didn’t look like she’d had a sleepless night worrying about you! Sending healing hugs to you all and hoping you are now feeling fine Archie?Enjoy your travels northward in your sparkling roofed van (🍾👍🌟we thought Sue did another fantastic job of it….btw, there’s a diddy rather green one here in need of some sparkle if she’s willing?! Am super chuffed Archie is on the mend, my Coco was poorly sick at the weekend vets on Monday and her diagnosis was also pancreatitis… I never heard of it in dogs then my Coco and your Archie in the same week, I have to say I thought it sounded super serious to me but my beautiful girl has bounced back with the aid of some painkillers so am certain Archie is the same - keep having fun safe travels ❤
Thank you so much. Archie was first diagnosed with pancreatitis when he was only about 18 months old. We have managed it all his life with diet and being very careful about what he eats. Sue often says she’s the only person shopping who checks the fat content of dog treats. I’m sure Coco will be just fine. 🙏🤗🚌❤️
