I am so glad you adopted Pearl. Chihuahuas are one of the dogs that ends up abandoned more than any other, especially as senior dogs. I appreciate that you've shown what an absolute gem of a pet chihuahuas can be to their person. So loving!
Chihuahua's & pitbulls are the dogs most likely to be put down bc of bad behavior.. That makes me sad bc my 16yr old Chihuahua is one of the smartest dogs I've ever known. She doesn't bark much, maybe 20 times in 16yrs & she has never bit anyone.. I won't say she wouldn't bite if I was threatened.. Your Dog does what you want it too.. Any dog can be trained..
It's so crazy to me how you both happened to go to the same place on the same day and your dogs happened to see and like eachother and you both happened to live in vans and get along, the world is crazy such a lucky coincidence

You see what can happen when we truly create our own happy daily existence without depending on or searching for anyone else. Being self sufficient first seems to be the recipe for genuine love + companionship arriving unexpectedly 💕💕🐾🐾🐾
I’m going to make Pearl my unofficial “God dog daughter.” Come visit Asheville and we’ll have a good hike, picnic and tell you the good/q places to go in the Smokies and Blue Ridge. Fall and later spring (late Aprils and May) are the best times to come. I wish I could do this, but being disabled due to migraines…I just can’t figure out how to swing it logistically. 2-3 migraines a week, meds every month, and Botox being necessary every 10 weeks (for headaches-not the other reason) doesn’t make it realistic, sadly.
If you can might as well enjoy it while you're young and healthy. Just make sure you have plans for your financial security because you might end up living a lot longer than your money can last.

You buy your van or camper, load it up w the necessities, gat in and go! The rest will all fall into place as you continue on & get to know what it is that you feel you will need.
