SETTHORNS - A New Forest Campsite. Finally the sunshine arrives

- We get back on the road after a couple of weeks dog sitting and gardening. We visit an old favourite, Setthorns Campsite situated in the New Forest in the South East of England close to the beautiful village of Sway. We enjoy the sunny weather, meet with friends, BBQ, walk through the luxurious woodland and even treat ourselves to a pub lunch. We are still contemplating our future and trying to decide what to do with our house once our son moves into his own home.
This is episode 125 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.
As I sit watching the wind and rain from my living room window in Auckland ; I’m reminded that when the weather is good in the UK 🇬🇧 it’s beautiful ! And the good old English pub grub and a pint 🍺 cheers again for another good vlog ! Keep travelling whilst you can xx

Great video as usual i always look forward to them. Its a good way for you and Sue to document your travels aswell. Im in Sussex and Monday was gorgeous i went down the beach after work for dinner it was lovely......but its been all down hill since....fingers crossed for hot Bank holiday! Have a great week all!

If it helps…..my husband decided to travel off to heaven …. I sold our beautiful house and property bought a Motorhome and now travel Australia, on my own with our beautiful Border Collie dog, never had one moment of regret….. I now know less is best for me 🥰 good luck with your decision.

Wednesdays are a great day to release your vlogs - I follow lots of Moho travellers and they ALL release on a Sunday 🤔..tbh it's too much when they all land at once and some I don't even watch as there is too much. I think to know that I can sit and watch you vlog mid-week 👍 makes it special 😂

Glad you enjoyed it. It is really lovely if getting a little expensive these days. However, there is another site called Matley Wood which I think is just £12.50 per night, no EHU but lots of good walking there too. 🤗🙏🚌❤️

We used to be a Sunday too but it's a bit hectic. We moved to a Friday teatime instead. Seems to be ok!

Setthorns is such a beautiful place in all seasons. We have been going on/off for years from young married couple in a caravan to family of four and now in our Motorhome just two of us and our collie. Never get tired of it. Just reminded us we need to go back! What ever decision you make it’ll be right for you all but if you can keep travelling while you’re both healthy and still enjoying it why not! Safe and happy travels 😊

Thank you. I think they must be fairly new to the Forest as I haven’t seen them before this latest visit. First came across them in Norfolk a few years ago but had never heard the bark before. 🤗🙏🚌❤️
