- Removal of the transmission shifter cable & bracket from the transmission housing. I had a really hard time figuring out how this cable detaches from the transmission housing. Here it is! Good luck!

Thank you so much I was gonna have to drop the trans to to figure that out, I’m doing an auto to Manuel swap so that made my day so much easier, thank you for making this video ❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU!!! Like you said, I couldn't see it to get a good look as to why this bugger would not come out!
Thanks! I looked at this for about 10 minutes and turned to youtube and found this.
I unbolted the nut at the transmission to get the cable loose there. looks like I didn't need to do that. oops
Great tip. I had better luck squeezing a pair of needle nose pliers around the clip to pinch it, rather than using a screw driver.
how in the world do you get the shifter on the transmission off? im trying to replace the range sensor got the likage off and the 2 bolts and 1 nut and the cable is off. But when i go to pull the shifter(bracket) it wont budge. Does the bolt coming from the trans come out or just the bracket. Please someone help me with this
Omg thank you
thank you!!!!!
So to replace the shifter cable the engine and transmission have to come out of the car? Or is this something non-mechanics might try? This isn't clear on the video. But I'm sure what you have here is helpful to some people...
